Yeah the Normandy feels so empty now. I love what they did with Jacob's quarters though, just board it up and forget.

I could see a DLC character changing that.

With ten  squadmates from ME2 that was threaten so poorly in ME3 to choose from (I'm obviously excluding Mordin and Legion), if they decide to add another new and useless character like Diana Allers people will start throwing rotten tomatoes to their offices' windows.

Who said anything about it being a new character?

Sorry, didn't read that carefully.

Well, speaking of Jacob's quarters, I think they were sacrificed to build that massive comm system we see during briefings. I doubt they will open that space for DLC characters. After all, Thane and Jack's chambers are already there, left open and empty... and we already know what we want.

I was kinda angry when I saw Javik down there right at first. and then he did his mind meld and was talking about her and I was like....stfu stupid bug

I was kinda happy that Javik was down there, talking about her... simply because my Shep got to talk about her a little bit more, it's smaller than a grain of dust, but it's something.

Also, Javik only does his "mind meld" thing in Jack and Grunt's chambers, my personal team for almost all ME2, so it was nice for my Shepard to talk about them with him.

I did not know that...That is kinda cool.  I just was like ugh when he starts with "I sense much anger"  Or whatever he said.  Does he acknowledge the fact that she was your LI?  I honestly dont remember

I'm actually doing another playthrough with another shep. I'm thinking of not doing the GrimsomAacademy mission.....Because I want to see Ashley's romance arc....anytime I tried to do another romance in ME2 I would end up with Jack...every single time.
I cant say no to her. *sigh*

Sadly, he doesn't. Javik always says the same things when he's in that room. But I think Shepard if I recall correctly, says something like "getting angry was her thing", showing kind of more intimacy.

I was looking on other "Javik in Jack's quarters" video on youtube and that line is never said so I suppose my Shepard said that because he romanced Jack.

I try other romance arcs using FemShep, and go search on YouTube for the MaleShep-only romance. But if you want to try it yourself, you could simply avoid her in the Purgatory... letting her being taken by Cerberus is far too evil!

I'm doing a bad ME3 default playthrough and did Grissom Academy without Jack.... damn.
This game is going to break my heart. >.<
I think this playthrough made me realize how important Jack is for her Students....

With Jack, they are motivated and a fun troop, without her, they are scared children. I told them, that they should fight in the front lines, but I have that feeling that without Jack, they have to stick to support roles or they are going to die.

Pardon me the nerdy comparison, but I believe that in ME3 Jack is the Jean Grey of a universe without Xavier or Cyclops. Without her, Grissom Academy looks more like some kind of refuge for a monirity than a proper "school for gifted youngsters". After all, not to be mean but reading Retribution I've got the feeling that Kahlee Sanders doesn't have much clue on how to deal with her students properly.

Jack has a rebellious attitude which probably helps her to connect with the students who are all just teenagers, the fact that she's probably the most powerful human biotic that's ever lived is bound to inspire the students too. I cant really see the students ever having a chance in any kind of war with cerberus or the reapers without her. Plus Jack's damn hot.

It's quite unique the way that she keep her "rebellius attitude" without transmitting it to her students: they're kept in line no matter what. That's probably because she's the most powerful human biotic alive, so she actually inspire some kind of awe and respect without even saying a word (and she knows  when and what to say to keep them in line).

Don't know about the teenagers' bit, though. Since ME2 I always went against who said that Jack had a "teenage angst" attitude... I see her more like a woman, with some problems on her shoulders to carry and tons of character. Teenage rage is a little bit too silly for her IMHO.

I dont think she has a "Teenage angst" per say, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's how she apears to the students, but anyone who romanced her will know there's far more to her than that.

Jack teaching makes me think of what would happen if you mixed School of Rock with Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket.

Why do you think that?  Just asking, not disagreeing.  It's not only because of her look, right?

When Jack says, that the students responded well to her teaching style... I think that was the understatement of the year. ^.^

Kids usually learn better from someone they can relate to or that has been seen to actually "experienced the world", compared to text-book people in a sort, no offence to them, haha. Though, Kahlee has been through a bunch of dangerous elements through her role in the books, but I don't know, Jack just seems like such a "people person" don't you think, lol. She's just not into the "touchy-feely" aspects, bahaha.

To be fair to random instructor person, it's not him/her fault they weren't capable of going all mother hen in the face of overwhelming Cerberus forces. I'm sure if Jack had died in front of them, the students would have come unraveled pretty quick. Effective teaching style or no.

Of course, just imagine if her students died in front of her.  No matter how tough you are, **** like that makes you snap.

Oh, no question. The only point I was making is that the moral of the students isn't necessarily indicative of how well her unique brand of teaching is being received. They're in high spirits because Jack has the ability to be there mother hen, who wouldn't like there chances with Jack fighting for them.

Actually Jacobs quarter's no longer exist, the ME2 Normandy's Armory, Lab and debrief room were all stripped to make room for the new war room and communications center. If you look at where the old armory door should be you will notice that it's now just a wall with containers in front of it.

I for one would not want to be on the receiving end of Jack when she's pissed off.

Well... read this.

Jack practically becomes a living "biotic storm" (it is said later in the story), it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Also, I recommend that comic to whoever didn't know it existed before this post. Pro-ending, anti-ending, whatever you are, that comics is simply awesome.

I have read them before and they really do the characters some justice, also the comic's story is so much better than the ending Bioware wrote, not that they set the bar very high. But that's just my opinion.

I'm pro-ending but I absolutely consider the Marauder Shileds comics something above the actual endings... maybe this will change after the EC, I don't know.

Off course, Koobismo has some advantage over BioWare: he used a more reliable and low-cost media (when you're drawing a comic you don't have any budget restrictions, you can have all the lines you want from all the characters you want, and use any kind of huge special FXs without problems) and he's filling the ending with so much screentime that it would have taken a completely different game (something like Mass Effect: London)... but that does not change the fact that he's doing one hell of a job.

I'm actually having goosebumps reading those comics like I did when I was playing on Tuchanka, on Rannoch... and obviously during the Grissom Academy mission.

On a completely unrelated note, I found this link where Liara reveals Jack's real name. Not entirely sure how to get it in game. So what do you think of Jennefer?

I believe it occurs if you romance Liara and not Jack, I still prefer Jack as her name to be honest, It just seems to suit her.
