So there's already tons of Tweets asking for a look at Jack's new design, in response to Casey Hudson's inquiry about what kind of ME3 screenshots fans want to see next. Fingers crossed!

I cross my fingers, I'm so curious. ^_^

What if she is still half bald?      I can see them doing a long mohawk type thing in a ponytail.

I liked her bald though myself.

I vote for a bit of hair... only IF it looks good... if not, bald please :)

Can you really see Jack... being.. nicer? Maybe less homicidal?

What, more like a Canadian-styled-polite-homicidal?  " Thank you for dying, jackass." ?

She is nice in ME2.

"So **** you. And thanks for asking."

I think that was nice, by Jack standards. :P

Jack is actually trying adorably hard to be nice to you after her loyalty mission... I think "nicer" and "less homicidal" need to be two separate categories, though. I wouldn't want her to be a lot nicer than she was in ME2, or even less bloodthirsty in battle, but I would expect that she won't plan any murdering sprees involving Cerberus operatives and everyone connected to them ever.

I'm with demonic_cookie. I don't think "nicer" necessarily equates to "less homicidal." I think I'd like to see her keep to her current level of violence, but maybe... more directed? Does that make sense? Like a murder with a cause! Like the Punisher, for those of you familiar with Marvel comics. (Great, now I really want a Punisher/Jack crossover something, but I hate crossovers).

@Batlass

I'm with you on the general lack of feeling for crossovers, but I can't lie and say that that fight would be amazing to see.

Well, romanced Jack for the first time...I am not a Jack fan, though I don't dislike her either...in fact I care deeply about her, with what she has been through, I think she deserves a lot more credit than she is generally given...best way to put it, is I understand why she is who she is and why she is.

I would like to put my thoughts across on her romance though, if you don't mind and would like to know what people think. I do like how Shep challenged her, though her struggle was sad to watch and I was very happy when he finally said "No more questions"....I thought BW did a nice job there, they timed it all well for emotional impact...Plus I liked that Shep had to work for her, she didn't fall all over him, I would like to see more of it with LI's....Jack was written beautifully for romance.

But though her romance touched me, it is a one off, as:

1.) My Shep is a very clean cut custom job....He and she just look really odd together....the tatts, lack of clothes and hair and potty mouth are a very extreme contrast....too extreme.

2.) Here's the clincher though....I have now both renegade and paragon romanced Jack, I was going to carry the renegade sex through on my canon Shep to ME3, but after romancing Jack, have changed my mind....having now realized how much the renegade sex could really hurt her....I don't want my Shep to do that to her. But I have been wondering also if the paragon romance could also be to Jacks detriment...she is one messed up and deeply hurting soul and I am hoping Shep can be there for her to lean on in ME3....given her pain and confusion though, I wonder if the best thing Shep can do is be a rock for her and not let the emotional charge of a relationship interfere or threaten that process of being there for her....the question being is she ready to deal with working within the confines of building a relationship, plus building her own self? Also not having to wonder if Shep is only helping her because his getting his end in?

Funny thing, though like I said, I'm not particulary a fan of Jack and she is only a pixelated character...but I do really honestly care about the character she is.

And in comment to above posts I have noted...yes, the tatts, shaved head and potty mouth are a put off, but yes, she does also have an extrodinarlily beautiful face....purely from a surface opinion of her....but yes, there is also a great deal more to her and I also would like to see more recognition of the person Jack is.

Personally, I view the Paragon "romance" with Jack as being rather chaste. Sure, they do the fade to black thing, but they also show the aftermath, so to speak, at which point they're both still fully cloathed. I like to think that at some point, before things went to far, Jack asked Shepard to stop, or Shepard sensed her anxiety and discomfort, and they ended up just holding one another.

There are a couple different reasons I choose to interpret the scene this way, not the least of which being my feeling that Shepard -- or at least my Shepard -- cares enough about Jack that he wants to be there for her without pushing her to behave a certain way or attempting to "fix" her, and if that means waiting for her to comfortable with herself and the possibility that the galaxy can be a better place than she was ever aware, then Shepard is willing to wait.

So yeah, from my persepective, even though Shepard might want more, he's trying his very best -- as the circumstances allow, what with the impending suicide mission and all -- to be that rock so Jack can have some stability in her life and make her own decisions.

I'm actually really grateful that the dev team not only had that fade to black when they did, but also showed Jack and Shepard cuddled together somewhat chastely afterwards, because if it was made explict that they did have sex -- especially when she has tears on her cheeks -- I'd probably feel as you do, that Shepard's actions are rather detrimental to Jack's well beings, and somewhat selfish.

I can dig that.

I just hope they do get down eventually though, cuz if you do the Renegade scene, you can plainly see that girl's got skills. not to put too fine a point on it, lol.

I also viewed the Paragon romance with Jack as chaste. Putting aside that seeing a girl cry is a huge anti-boner, I thought that it was pretty clear that if Shepard wanted to have sex with Jack, he would have already. Jack is an extremely unique character to romance, in that a sex-scene was not meant to be the "climax" of her relationship. Personally, I can't view her Paragon romance scene as anything but a chaste encounter with tears, kisses, soft words and strong arms.

Murderer with a cause? I like that :D

Like when she says "you're in an enemy uniform, and I'm going to kill you"

If Shepard doesn't have renegade sex with her, his paragon dialogue option is something like 'Not right now, thanks. I'd like to figure you out first.' Therefore if he is true to himself (or you as his player are true to him) at the point of Jack's visit, he'd still not have sex with her. He's only just started getting to know her. Sure I can see some cuddling (perhaps even heavy cuddling) and kissing, but even if she were to offer it, he's not take it. Part of that too, I think, is that he's clever enough to realise that it might just drive her away at that point, even if she came to him (which shows a large amount of trust already from her side).

I also choose to believe no sex happened at that point. She was crying ffs, what kind of a-hole would have Shep been if he took advantage of her in that state?

And to answer your question, yes, it would have probably been better for her psychologically if you hadn't taken it to the romantic level, regardless of whether pre-SM scene was chaste or not... But Shep fell in love and acted on it in his usual action hero manner... Let's hope they work their crap out in ME3.

I agree. It seems to me that Jack is even shy in that scene. There's some making out going on, but nothing sexual at all. It's pure romance!

I agree too! I find it hard to believe that maleshep would "perform the deed" while she's crying. I imagine him comforting her while the scene fades to black until she's truly comfortable with someone she loves touching her at all.

He is her Protector.  Her Guardian.  For all of her fierceness she is fragile, and he knows that.

At least, thats how it is with my shep.

Image IPB found it, even Tasha's characteristic are an understandable evolution of a mutre direction that Jack might have.

What beautiful responses...thank you everyone....Jack is obviously designed to reach deep if the player takes the time to look beyond her language and hard punk appearence, theres a lot of love for her here...very well done to BW.

Speaking of BW, I wonder if they will notice this conversation and use it in ME3, or at least continue to leave the Jack LI scene ambiguous.

Derek Watts, an art director on Mass Effect 3 explains how she will be different in the next game.

“Maybe she’s softened up a bit. You can only stay punk rock for so long, you know. Even Johnny Rotten eventually goes, ‘I’ve got to do something different.’ She’d get tired of walking around completely naked and she’d probably grow her hair out, but she’s still Jack and still kinda punk – shaved at the sides with a pony tail at the back.”
