That's cute :3

I like watching the reaction of her students as it changes from panel to panel.

Well, I could whip one up, I'm sure, if you have any specifics in terms of size and resolution in mind.

I was more wondering if there was anyone around than requesting, but if you want to whip one up it'll be very cool! I was thinking about a small-sized gif but with a good resolution. Just for the lols, go for it if you want/can, and thank you in advance!

Love the consistency of this kind of art, almost remind me of the great Adi Granov! The part with Shepard smiling while bleeding from the nose is awesome.

I figured I'd do two of these. The first one is the whole sequence from the moment they walk into the dance floor. The second one is just the dancing, without the walk-in or fade-out.

(I could make bigger versions of these or something else if anyone wants them. I still have the frames)

God, but I am honestly baffled by what a terrible dancer Shepard is. You're an embarrassment to your girlfriend, guy.

Why does he seem so uninterested :(  This is his opportunity to spend some quality time with his girlfriend, and he just..."Eh, yeah, I guess I'll dance..."

He was a better dancer in ME1, but Cerberus changed him.

Guess Cerberus cant make all miracles happen after all

the one chance that had to make Shepard atleast look like a competent dancer atleast in front of Jack and they blew it, which makes Garrus line on top of the Presidium about his dancing even funnier

heh i just thought of some amusing scenarios with Jack back aboard the Normandy; like her snooping around Liaras room when shes not around or her and joker going back and forth over the intercom

Were any of you expecting to see her on the Normandy after that dance scene? I was like "Oh sweet, maybe we can actually talk before she has to get back to her students!" Then sadface, lol.

The way she says "Shepard... everyone knows you can't dance" is adorable, espeically that little giggle, haha.

Either Shepard really can't dance or he's a descendant of the Technoviking.

Uhm...I wouldn't say that I was expecting to see Jack on the Normandy after the dancing, but it is a bit of a jarringly odd break, the way they go from dancing to...Shepard just standing alone in the floor? At the very least I would've expected, like, a goodbye scene, maybe the two of them kissing goodbye at Afterlife's entrance because Jack has to go or something.

Same deal with the Grissom Academy mission. I mean, when they leave the academy on that shuttle, they're going to *board* the Normandy. I would've expected some sort of interaction on the ship afterward before Jack has to go with Sanders and the kids. In both scenes, it's weird going from Jack and Shepard cozying up together to...Jack just disappearing in between cutaways.

Just popping in to say that I love Jack, even though I'm a Thane-girl. Jack is awesome. I loved her character arc over the course of ME2 and 3.

And also I agree with Padt. The lack of interaction after the Grissom Academy mission and the scene in Afterlife is incredibly jarring. And I hoped after both that I might get her on the ship. But then i hoped I would get Thane on my ship for a little while too. I had even boned up on Hobbes philosophy in preparation for it (no, not really)!

And I feel so sorry for everyone who had Jack as an LI. They really screwed us ME2 lovers over. :(

Technoviking makes me sad. Guess it's up to me to make the world realise that we can actually dance. :S

Anyway, hello, goodbye! Back to the Thane threads! *zoom*

Yes.  Wtf was that?  First, you get the Paramour achievement for dancing with her, and that set off an alarm in my head.  "Surely, that can't be it, can it?"  But then Jack disappears without a word.  No kiss goodbye, no nothing, until you talk with her on Earth.  Ugh.  :pinched:

Wait, Shepard's shoulders movement before the scene cut to black looks very similar to the first steps of the TechnoViking... what if he's about to pull of a TechnoViking in front of the whole Purgatory? They just couldn't show more scenes because the sheer awesomeness of that would have broke the game or caused an even bigger uprising than the endings.

All jokes aside, I always picture a lot of things happening after that cut to black. Dancing, drinking, talking, kissing goodbye. I'm very sad It's all headcanon since I'm not even closer to geniuses like Dr. Doctor and I can't picture totally in-character Jack's moments, but since they don't tell us how much time passed from the cut to Shepard standing there we can imagine whatever we want.

That doesn't mean that it's all OK. I still do want more time with Jack, and without magic disappearences this time. Dammit, the dialogue on earth is heart-shattering: in my language (italian) they translated "I'm gonna get laid" with "When this is over I want to have some fun" (some censorship involved I guess) so the first time I played that part Shepards' "I love you too" sounded completely out of place. I was absolutely stunned by tha lack of a romance scene during my first walktrough.

With multiple times through the story I came to love Jack's moment, they are well-written and joy-inducing, but her disappearences still hurts badly... at least that "I love you too" it's some kind of strangely poetic before Shepard face his destiny... but I'll keep hoping and asking for a DLC to give her (and other ME2 squadmates if they can, I'm ok with that) because that's what she deserves.

EDIT: almost forgot... thanks for the gif, Padt, that's one of the funniest Shep 'n Jack moments in ME3, it's such a shame it last for like 2 seconds, now it'll repeat in an endless cycle of awkward dancing! Hell yeah.

Hello to you, as well. I thought the way much of Thane's part in 3 played was very, very frustrating (I've written a bit about this before), and he's also one of my favorite love interests in the series, so I definitely feel your pain.

In any event, as far as the cutaway in Purgatory is concerned...I don't think I ask for too much. The way I would've done it would be, say...have Jack and Shepard start dancing, then do that fade-out that you see in the game. Then cut to the two of them walking towards Purgatory's entrance. Jack is talking about how she's about to get deployed soon (say, to Palaven again, for example), how she's sure her kids are gonna keep kicking ass, or what have you. Shepard tells her...I dunno, to watch herself out there, or that he's going to be thinking about her or something. Maybe have Jack say something humorous or flirty in response. Embrace, kiss, "see you around"/"gonna miss you"/"love you"/whatever, Jack walks out of Purgatory. And then you cut to Shepard standing alone in the club. That's it. I dunno, don't think something like that would've been all that difficult or resource-consuming to pull off.

It's cool to headcannon the situation after for Jack and Shepard, but it just would of been nice to acknowledge more to their relationship.

@ Padt

I like that little write up, just that little something, can change the whole perspective.

Purgatory

Shepard: Don't I get a get a goodbye kiss?

Jack: No, 'cause I'm not saying goodbye. You're just gonna have to get your dumb ass through this ****storm if we're sticking together.

Shepard: Jack, I'm not going anywhere.

Jack: You're damn right your not. (kisses Shepard)

I was just listening to reignite, and ot actually occured to me.

With the 'Destroy' ending and max EMS, Jack and Shepard is one of the few romances 'likely' to continue. Despite being pretty much done with Bioware, I still love Jack and the romance, though the playthrough that ruined Bioware for me was a Liara one.

Liara and the other 'main' LIs got put on a bus. Or a Normandy if you prefer. Only those people stll on Earth are really likely to be seeing eachother again in the next decade. The only ones I recall is Jack and... well Jack and none LIs.

I can just imagine Shepard laying there amongst the rubble, horrifcally wounded as he was, when a searching and wide eyed Jack finds him. I can imagine a very rare scream of grief and rage from her as she reached down to hold his body, while her team looks on stunned and at a loss for words. She thinks she has losy yet something else. Then, Jack would gasp, as she realised he is breathing. Despite the hilarious size difference a biotic-glowy tiny woman would lift the tall marine effortlessly and carry him hurriedly to the nearest surviving camp.

I can then see her being both a mix of clingy, grumpy, and irritated while he recovered. Especially if all his implants going pop has bad effects on him, leavng him in some way disabled. I can imagine her bopping him if he started with the self pity/loathing. Call me crazy, but I would like to imagine Jack being the strong one for a while.

And of course neehs.deviantart.com/art/London-ruins-Jack-version-299511950 which fits the scene perfectly.

The possiblity of Jack and Shep being potentially still together post-ending has likely being discussed, but going back ten pages I found no trace. Haha. Got to give Malukah credit, without Reignite I wouldn't have been pondering Mass Effect to consider this. Ugh, the mixed combination of love and hate and dispair I feel towards Bioware and Mass Effect is the strangest sensation...
