Someone take a SS of Jack's flashback too :P, sorry I just don't have my disc 1 (it broke), so I can't play the EC, haha.

Just did Control (it was pretty cool; liked the somewhat ambiguous tone of it). The slide of Jack that I got was...different.

Now to do Synthesis, see what crops up there.

Exactly. But this is how it should of been from the start. Not just the normandy racing away like before.

Seeing joker refusing to leave and Garrus having to tell him they have to get the hell out of there was touching as hell and it now makes me understand why they were bugging out. Because before it made zero sense. You can just tell joker didn't want to leave his friend behind and it was kind of sad

And jacks star gazer screenshot in game....

Agreed. Not a huge fan of StarChild still, but everything around it was cool.

Loved Destroy's epilogue mainly because of Lance Henriksen's awesome narration, but also the implication that Shep can get back to Jack.

Again, anyone with a Twitter account should make sure to tell Mike Gamble we want some Jack DLC at some point.

I still feel bleh about the game. I hated the original endings and the Ec is acceptable. But the way Bioware handled it really turned me off. Ill still play ME2 cause I really like that one but Me3 for me is just a downer experience. If the ending was right the first time I could have ignored the lil stuff throughout the game that was crappy, but I cant go back to just not noticing it now that the endings are passable but subpar. Plus ME2 has Jack in heaps

Into the Unknown is going to be my "Canon Version"

Here's the Jack screenshots from the EC for those that are interested, these are the only scenes that are in the new DLC as far as I could tell.

First one - Ah, that snarled upper lip

Second one - Makes me sad.  She must be experiencing a storm of emotions at that moment.  "Why'd you have to go turn out like Murtock and get yourself killed, ******?"  :crying:  Time to write some fanfic.  I want to write Jack finding out that Shepard is still alive.

More variation here, I guess. In my game it was Liara and Traynor telling Joker to leave.

And just finished Synthesis. Wow, that one was...pretty radical and trascendent. Even more so than Control. Same Jack slide, though.

Anyway, yeah. I'm reasonably happy, I think. At least at the moment. Hey, at least we know for sure that this:

I'm over here uploading the entire damn video to Youtube. You guys beat me to it.

Unrelated note. Anyone else get EDI as the second 'last people you think of' part of the cutscene? I ask because she might've shown up because I chose Destroy.

Please, post the whole video.  I want to see it, since I didn't play the EC.

EDI shows up if you choose Destroy, for obvious, relevant reasons.

It seems that EDI shows up if you choose Destroy. Fitting, given that she is about to die along with the geth. Otherwise, I imagine her spot is taken up by someone else who died, and it seems that Thane takes precedence here.

You know, I actually think that shot of Jack stargazing is meant to be more hopeful than sad. As I understand, it only shows up if Shepard's survival is assured, otherwise it seems that you get the shot of her with her students or with the graves. I think it's evidently teasing the idea of reunion, having her looking up at the skies where Shepard is currently located.

(I imagine that as an image it's also meant to be more symbolic than anything, and likely not a depiction of an event that occurred after the end. I mean, if nothing else, after everything that's happened I doubt there's any place on Earth, or at least any place near London, that looks that beautifully green, virginal and pristine)

I also think it's supposed to be hopeful.  All of the endings have some element of hopefulness to them.  In Destroy+, the person who handles Shepard's memorial wall nameplate smiles, as if they just know that Shepard is alive.  And Jack, well, I'm sure that even though she's hopeful, she must still be experiencing a heartwrenching mix of emotions.

From the EC SPOILER Discussion thread:

TullyAckland wrote...

  • You may notice that in the “Shepard lives” ending, the love interest hesitates to place Shepard’s name on the wall, and instead looks up as though deep in thought. This is meant to suggest that the love interest is not ready to believe Shepard is dead, and the final scene reveals they are correct. As the Normandy lifts off, there is hope that the love interest and Shepard will again be together.

I think you're right. The stargazing still serve the same purpose as the Shepard's plate, the reunion is not only possible, it's heavily implied.

Thanks, bro.  It wasn't much what Jackolytes received, but at least we know what happened to our girl.  And we get that little bit of Jack-related hopefulness in Destroy+.

By the way, where is Jack located in the cutscene where Shepard thinks about her? I know Ashley is in the starboard observation deck, and Liara is in her office on the Normandy. Thane appears to be at Huerta Memorial. Is that Grissom Academy?

Grissom Academy, for sure. Probably Orion Hall, where she and Shepard meet again for the first time since ME2 and you can have the first dialogue-wheel conversation with her.

Its not much what anyone got. Miri got the same. Not sure about any of the others. Thane got just a flashback because he passed on. Not sure about anyone else.

I slightly wonder if they have anything for Dianna. No one liked her, but I'm still curious.
