The problem is that I've heard her voice in SWTOR as well.  So if they are planning something on that angle she wouldn't be ablet o talk about it either.

I could have sworn that she's the voice of Kaliyo in the Imperial Agent storyline just because every time I talk to her I'm reminded of Jack.

Nope that is Tasia Valenza.  I however heard her voice in a couple of NPC's during the game.  I think ti was during the smuggler's or Bounty Hunter's class quests.

EDIT:  I never know Courtney was Ada Wong from Residen Evil...interesting.

Quick question. I just finished a chapter for my story, and I'm in a mood to entertain this idea I have of an "ending" for Shepard and Jack.

Against my better judgement, I'm gonna do it. Question is, should it be a fanfic, or should I try my hand at drawing this idea?

I realize I have the most sh*ttiest timing, but bare with me, now.

Drawing!

(but that's a personal preference for artwork over writing)

Okay, random question time. I imagine given this thread is 267 pages long, it's probably already been asked, but I couldn't even imagine trying to find it haha. What kind of music do you think Jack likes? I've always pictured her into industrial, metal, stuff like that. She'd definitely head bang to some Godflesh or KMFDM.

Was watching the videos of the new "Goodbye" lines the Big Three and the VS have in the EC.  The Tali one is heartbreaking.  She really loves him, and she doesn't want to leave him.  Shame we didn't get anything like that.  Even if the conversation would take place over comms, I'd like to think that a formal declaration of emotional investment wouldn't be too un-Jack-y for Jack, given the circumstances.

I think she'd enjoy electronic music in general.  Some of the harder stuff, like dance music, and gentler stuff, like Brian Eno.  Of course, her appearance makes me want to say she'd like metal and/or punk, but, I don't know about that.

Yeah i cant see how she would like Metal, or punk. I mean she looks like she would but to me electronic  music does seem to fit her best.

I always exclude Metal because it seems a little bit out of contest in the Mass Effect Universe: based on the music you can hear in Shepard's cabin and at the clubs, I think this is the typical future/Sci-Fi universe where electronic music has become the standard.

Given that, KMFDM are a nice catch. I think she would also like Eisenfunk.

Already touched on this subject sometime ago, but I'm against the "that's all you hear in the games, so it's a safe bet that everyone listens to it" thing. Because of that, the rock/metal music idea isn't hard to think of when it comes to music Jack would listen to. Same thing goes with hip-hop, rap, rapcore, all of that.

This was something I tried to show in Son Of Mindoir (though the music bit came from Shepard's side first), and in that one short fic where Killswitch Engage plays just before she Vegas a shuttle into a group of husks.

That being said, I would see her listening to songs that have some sort of meaning to it, or songs she could somewhat relate to. Like this one, in particular.

Well offcourse the universe doesn't listen to what Shepard's listen, but if you want to be very close to the game's lore, than Killswitch Engage is a 300 years old band. It's like us listening to some music from 1712, it would be weird for us to understand it.

After all, who can say how music evolved during the centuries? Look at how much it has changed in the last 30 years.

it will most likely be how we treat anything from a given time period where people covet it more because its old and rare. i like beowulf and that things dated pretty far back.

i can see it being like in i,robot where will smith character still owns a pair of chucks and where everyone else has  electric automated cars he still has gas powered motorcycle. its not so huge a gap in time but the concept still remains the same. theres always gonna be people interesting in the past and making it relevant for their time peroid

plus it would be very Jack like for her to play some music most people have never heard of and put them off guard. blasting some Disturbed "Down with the Sickness" in front of some asari would be hilarious.

I'm not really seeing how it could be weird to understand a song because of its age. All it really takes is for someone to know English, which seems to be one of the prominent languages in the galaxy, already.

I'm not saying someone can't legit not understand a song. I'm saying it seems unlikely.

I could listen to The Temptations or The Beatles right now and get the song playing if I wanted to.

Heh. Every time I think of Jack being added as a squadmate I inevitably start thinking about the powers she could have. They've added several new biotic powers to the classes in Multiplayer. They could easily just give her one or more of those. Lash and/or Smash, in particular, would seem fitting in several ways. Those powers are possessed by ex-Cerberus biotics, and Jack was augmented by Cerberus, so.

I myself think nova, or something along the lines of the asari melee but stronger would be awesome for her. A move that basically propels the enemy back would be nice.

Likewise, LOL!

Or she busts out some Greymachine, Wolf Eyes, Whitehouse or other noisy, distorted stuff downstairs in Engineering so people **** off and don't bother her. I could even picture her playing it through the comm system and blasting in it Miranda's office as a joke.

I could also totally see her being the type to take the ME equivalent of an MP3 player into battle so she has a soundtrack to her "blowin' **** up" adventures.

As for powers in the game, biotic sphere would be rad, lash/smash/nova, reave/warp. She was all about up-in-your-face close combat in ME2 so some kind of protective barrier while she charges directly at the enemy and uses her glowing fists of biotic anger would make sense IMO.

We didn't a "Goodbye" conversation with Jack in the EC.  What do you think the conversation would be?  Assume that it takes place over comms, and isn't in-person.  Be serious.  If you have to be silly, be silly the way Jack uses humor to mask and indirectly state her feelings.

i had the screaming part at the beginning as a ringtone on my phone for a long time, then i gave the phone to my mom and sometimes i freak her out by switching her ringtone back to it just to see the look on her face when it rings lol

as far as powers goes biotic sphere would be awesome because if they tried to make Jack a glass cannon again the sphere would buff her up by alot and keep her from winding up like Liara and dying all the time. but they might have to tweak it to make it alittle bigger to compensate for squad placement so you dont get out flanked all the time while you turtle with Jack :P

ive grown fond of shockwave now that theyve done some serious buffing for it in multiplayer and its reliable again. throw is also fun cause of its ridiculously low recharge speed and spanking an enemy all the way across the room so that gives her two "detonators" to choose from for power combos.

as for a biotic "trigger" warp and pull are pretty standard so either of those can work unless they come up with a new power that works similar.

i hesitate to give her any cerberus phoenix powers because thers no precedent for her to use her biotics like a whip but picturing Jack whipping some Cerberus husk mooks is almost too good an idea to pass up

I don't see why she couldn't use such those powers.  If they'll pummel the lore to make "cool" stuff for multiplayer, you can do whatever you want with the lore as well.  There's no reason Jack can't do anything those biotics can do.  It just takes practice.

@Vertigo_1,
I pretty much knew Ms. Taylor wouldn't be voicing anything for Jack in the EC.  Unlike everyone else, I don't think Bioware would pour resources in to character DLC, especially if it's for a character they've shown us to be minor in their eyes.  Why, yes, I am bitter.

Anyway, they're too busy putting Reaper backstory in to paid DLC, when such a thing should be in the base game.

Now all I can picture is Jack running around using Smash on baddies while this song is playing

Quick question while we're at it: I've been told Jack's real name is Jennifer, but I haven't come across any supporting evidence in-game. Can anyone fill me in?

Liara mentions it to Jack, if you bring Liara to the Grissom Academy mission.  Liara also says she knows Jack's last name, and that she'll tell her if she asks nicely.

Interesting. I've probably brought Liara to Grissom Academy once. Must have missed that bit. Thanks for the confirmation, though!

It's more complicated than just bringing Liara, though. Liara has to be in the squadmate "spot" that the game selects when it decides who talks to Jack in that scene. This "spot" is determined by the order in which you choose your squad for the mission. I don't know which "spot" is the one that talks to Jack.

I would imagine so, yes. That happened many times in ME2, where I'd want a specific squaddie to say something but the game would choose the other one. While not the worst of things, it can be annoying when you're trying something like this.
