I wonder if Ms. Rana keeps attending at conventions cosplaying as Samara for fun or because BioWare suggest her to.

Anybody else wish that the dream sequences were skippable?

Jack: Spooky forest again?

Shepard: Jack? What are you doing here?

Jack: Not really here ******. I'm your subconscious, normally I'm our regularly scheduled program but for some reason you've been dreaming about chasing little boys in the woods, which to be honest is pretty ****ing creepy.

Shepard: Why pop up as Jack though? Why not my mother, or Anderson, or someone else?

Jack: (rolls eyes) 'Cause last time I checked we don't hug your pillow every night and dream about Anderson. Seriously, you can email your girlfriend.  Hell, the Alliance even has vidcomm it's not like the galaxy is going to implode if you talk to her.

Shepard: (sighs) Alright, I'll talk to her as soon as I can. So what are you going to do about this?

Jack: About your creeper dream? I ain't doing squat.

Shepard: Why not?

Jack: That's your job big guy. You've got to fix your **** before I start calling the shots.

Shepard: What happens if I don't?

Jack: I don't know, I might decide that wearing your pants on your head is a ****ing awesome idea. You don't want it to get to that point and I'd much rather leave you in charge makes my job so much easier.

Shepard: I'm going insane.

Jack: You're weird Shepard, not crazy.

Also given that one of Shepards who romanced Jack is a Colonist/Sole Survivor I'm surprised that he didn't go crazy sooner.

Hey guys! Sorry for my recent absence. Been netless for a few days.

Anyway, I'm trying to create a little more interest in ITU, and to do so I'm trying to create some supplementary material for it. Would anyone be able to help me with some Jack-related art/image manipulations/finger paintings? I don't have an artistic bone in my body, and I'd really like to see some images from the fic come alive in visual format.

In other news, I'm currently trying to stir up some interest in a collaboration project for ITU. I'd hoped to draw the attention of other fanfic authors out there and get some additional scenes written for one of the bigger events in my fic. What i was hoping for was a few fics that deal with squaddies/NPCs not on Shepard's current squad selection. Jack is among those, and I'd really like to see what could be done with the psychotic biotic in the context of a massive battle between every clan on Tuchanka, a whole army of indoctrinated Yahg, the Krogan Secret Fleet, and an indoctrinated All-Thresher.

Anyone?

Oh, yeah, that's kinda lovely, really. The fish tank in the first is an especially nice touch.

There should have been a private scene like that with Jack, after dancing with her in Purgatory. That the scene ends the same way if you didn't romance her is disappointing, to say the least. Some passionate kissing, some knocking things over, some breaking things, some time in bed, then some conversation about their relationship after fade-to-black/fade-from-black.

If they ever did a Mass Effect movie I think Rana would have to play Samara. It looks just like her. And he'll you don't even need CGI makeup. Her costume is awesome. She just needs some freckles on her face.

You try getting in contact w/ Epantiras? Or are you looking for some like current artwork that's related to that type?

I believe I've said it before, but if it'd been me, I probably would have had an intimate scene taking place right after the Grissom Academy mission.

...I mean...even with time and resource constraints, I just can't imagine that Jack and Shepard didn't go for some private time on the Normandy after they escaped the academy. Especially when you consider how passionate and, y'know, hands-on they are with each other during the mission. Even if you'd rather not think that they had sex or whatever, it's just...difficult for me to think that they didn't ditch the kids and Kahlee (maybe leave them eating in the mess hall or something) for at least five minutes to just talk or hang out or something. Especially because there's no reason why Jack, the kids and Kahlee need to go right away, and it's been six months since they last saw each other.

So maybe it would've been weird to have an intimate scene of some sort so early in the game, especially since the Paramour achievement can't be unlocked so soon. But still, you know? It's just one of those things that sort of make sense in my head. Like I also would've had them saying goodbye at Purgatory instead of that strange cutaway from Jack and Shepard dancing to Shepard just standing alone in the club.

I did try. Unfortunately she said she wasn't taking any new commissions. I'm really really wanting to get something put together, so any recommendations as to who to go to would be appreciated.

 I was reading Mondo's works, and i noticed how poorly received they was at the time she posted them. Only 2 or 3 comments every one or two stories, and those comments were often just "Nice, we don't see Jack fanfics here too often". 

I mean, 90% of those things have a professional screenwriting level of quality and a perfect depiction of characters, without considering the breath-taking emotional roller coaster you can feel reading them. It's such a shame Mondo didn't got proper credit for that before leaving these boards.

Hell, comparing it to how Talimancers and Liara fans often revere very poorly written FFs with tons of flattering comments, Mondo's work could feel like the Holy Bible for Jackolytes.

"Poorly received"?  They just didn't receive as many comments as fic about the other LIs.  Doesn't mean they were "poorly received".

For my canon Shepard, I consider most of Mondo's fic canon.  I consider Mondo Jackolyte Supreme.

She's what made me fall in love with the character even more, just the way she wrote each description on how Jack felt, just felt so right. My favourite blog from her, is this one: Jack and Kasumi - Safety

This line really gets to me:

Each time she strikes a node a note plays, which she proceeds to bend or sustain, forming a flowing tide of sounds that forms a sort of soothing music. Jack is so preoccupied she doesn't notice the soft pad of feet on the Hammerhead's hull above her...
