There not all bad, the one person makes a good point. That when you find a character that has both a loyal following and a lot of hate directed at them, they usually turn out to be well written characters. And with the internet, one reasonable person is about all you can expect.

Absolutely loved the Hacker Suit for Isaac... always thought that it had a Jack-ish touch.

Fast forward to the end of the Mass Effect trilogy, and people still can't get over her.

Screw it. At least they're not saying that bull in here.

People screwed up the only opportunity of having a truly unique character as one of the main characters in a videogame not supporting her. Thanks to those kind of people, Jack was put aside, and in ME3 we got back the Cute Hot Space Elf and the Sexy Blue Bisexual Babe.

I hate gamers.

Or shallow gamers, rather.

I find it both funny and sad.

At least we still have someone, like QuantumDreams, trying to use a bald Ellen Page as the main character in their next game.

But I still remember someone laughing at the E3 panel when she was revealed. That's the moral of the story: gamers are such a mature fanbase that anything but bulky male heroes and superdupersexy barely naked girls (with BIG BOOBIES, because BOOBIES are the end-all be-all of everything female) will be opposed.

Well, some people just don't find that look appealing in females, it's not that they're necessarily shallow or fit the sterotype of only wanting "dat ass." I think Bioware took a big risk with developing her character, but I think they were a bit cautious (if that's right word) with her look for ME3 - which I don't know why, it's not like she wasn't a well written character and they would already be past that type of mindset, since they did create her for ME2. Did they want to make her look more appealing for ME3? Maybe, since they were going down the route of changing existing characters into sterotypical "sex sells" outlook (Ashley, Kaiden, etc), so I can see it happening for Jack.

****, she was practically naked in her art concepts:

I'm actually glad her character can still bring up these debates, but really who cares. I won't try to change some of their mindsets because they seem really keen in keeping that outlook on woman or people in general, their loss.

Even though that's the arm tattoo Jack has it looks sick on her back. I honestly didnt think it would look so good if someone got it in real life but, damn.

Regarding the comments on the article; I resigned myself years ago to the fact that 90% of gamers are complete morons, so I don't care what they comment about Jack's character or body art.

Off topic, is Dead Space any good? Never played it because i'm not really into horror games.

oh **** Jack's a ninja :bandit: lol maybe shes secretly an inflitrator

here we have the Jack in her nature element. i think her escape wouldve been even more epic if she showed some mad sam fisher skills while eluding guards in purgatory. those concepts leave me feeling like she could give Thane and Kasumi a run for their money if she had to stay off the grid.

now im gonna imagine Jack acting like this in her and Shepards fight in "I.T.U."

never played the first Dead Space but i find the second one pretty fun. i think the first one had more horror while the sequel was kinda like RE4 action meets horror

To me Jack doesn't seem the sort who would sneak around. To me she would just walk straight through places and anyone that was hostile would, in Joker's words, "get turned into a small stain on the floor, and the ceiling." I'm not say she couldn't sneak about like Thane and Kasumi, I'm just saying I couldn't really see her doing that.

May give Dead space a shot then if the Jack community likes it.

i kno Jacks the type to kick down the door when she wants something but i think even for her subtlety still has its place. i dont think jack wouldve live as long as she if she didnt kno when to cut loose and went to tone it down for the sake of survival.

its funny cause i could see Jack fitting in with the atmosphere of Dead Space since they already have a poor mans biotics in the form of a wrist mounted tractor beam thing you can use like telekinesis and i could see Jack really cutting loose on some necromorphs

So I'm working on something Jack-related, and a thought just popped into my head.

Do you guys think she'd adopt a kid?

Pre ME3 I'd have said probably not. Post ME3 I think she definitely would.

Maybe if she and a romanced Shepard decided to settle down, otherwise I think that her students would be like her family.

I think that the N7 Fury's "run around blowing things up" style of play is what playing as Jack would be like.

Annilhation Field is a power that screams "Jack would use this" anything that gets too close gets an effect similar to Warp cast on them and the power can be detonated like Tech Armor to set off biotic explosions primed by the field or other powers. Plus the animation of the Fury jumping up in the air and setting off a biotic shockwave around her is like something out of her cutscene on Purgatony in ME2.

Lash would be another power that I think would fit Jack.. She's really focused on getting close up and personal with her biotics so having the ability to fling enemies out of cover makes this easier to accomplish especially considering that no other ME3 squadmate has Pull.

Biotic Sphere fits with the support role she and her students are filling. When specced for defense Jack can run up the field, put down a sphere and then go to town with her shotgun and other powers. With the Warp Sphere evolution anything Jack lashes in will explode as soon as it hits the bubble and with Annhilation Field active any armored target will quickly get taken out.

We share the same view on gamers. But the problem is that because of the harsh threatment she got her prominent role in ME2 (I saw her on marketing shots and on magazines covers almost as much as Shepard back in the days... she was totally ME2's "big deal") was absolutely ignored in ME3. Instead, we got Ashley and Liara with bigger boobs and Diana "Sex Toy" Allers.

It's not like BioWare has a closed mindset (actually, I always said that BW point of view on LGBT and oversexualized VG characters is probably the only decent one in the entire gaming Industry) but sure the majority of the fans IS composed by repressed nerds.

On a sidenote, Dead Space 1 & 2 is a great Horror Series. I think Visceral Games with 2 games just nailed down what Capcom couldn't in a 6 game Saga... give it a shot before Dead Space 3 will turn the saga into a stupid third-person shooter.

I think she would.  Mama Bear mode Jack means she at least has some of the instincts for it.

EDIT: My idea is that Jack adopts an asari child, a war orphan.  She teaches her to be a biotic the Jack way, and it causes a little stir among asari adults.  This is because the asari have biotics integrated in to every aspect of their lives, and their formal education includes biotics education.
