Paragon Shepard is Captain America. Everyone who's fought beside him admits that he tends to bring out the best in people. Plus he "died" in WW2 only to come back later.

Renegade Shepard is Drax the Destroyer. Gets brought back from the dead to take down the biggest threat to humanity, follows the Pay Evil Unto Evil trope.

Miranda's the Black Widow. She was Cerberus' top agent and can do what others consider to be impossible on a semi-regular basis. 

Jacob's Hawkeye. He's the "normal" guy on the team and a lot of his backstory is tied up with Black Widow.

Grunt's The Thing. Big, boisterous, enjoys smashing things, etc.

Thane's Iron Fist. Same sort of warrior-philosopher vibe.

Mordin's Mr. Fantastic. Need to defeat the bad guy or save the day with science? Mordin's your go-to guy.

Legion is Vision. He's the only synthetic member of the Avengers and seeks to coexist with humanity.

Kasumi is Kitty Pryde. Same cheerful personality, can appear out of absolutely nowhere.

I read a ton of comics.

I read a ton of comics too, Doctor, and I think you got everyone perfectly. I think this need its own thread but for now I'll add some of my suggestions here...

Zaeed is Wolverine. "Old uncle" for the whole team with a past filled with more battles than we can imagine. 

Samara is Captain Marvel. Sometimes alien to human costumes, follows a code from another civilization and is a very powerful ally.

Got anybody right? I'm still trying to figure out Garrus and Tali though.

Since Doctor made excellent examples with Marvel superheroes (and 99% of them are Avengers) I would like to stick with Marvel! Also, a "Batman" without the no-killing rule is basically The Punisher. And considering Frank Castle "black and white" vision of the world, and that Garrus admits in ME2 that he "doesn't know what to do with grey", Garrus is actually quite a good Punisher.

...that little smile after she says "...****er" is one of the things that makes Jack one of the best things ever.

PS: tons of absolutely awesome pic in this page 300! I'm definitely going to start a new MShep ME2 walktrough tomorrow to romance Jack once again! Who knows, maybe a Romance DLC for ME3 is waiting us in the near future!

Garrus is Deadpool (circa Cable and Deadpool not the stuff by Daniel Way). He's the team's wisecracking gunman who's had to deal with loss and betrayal in the past. Really wants to just have a little peace and stability in his life. Plus there's the fact that he had half his face shot off by a gunship and lived.

Liara is Ghost: The resident master hacker of the Thunderbolts Ghost knows pretty much everything about everyone around him. He tends to be reclusive, and never leaves his high-tech suit that allows him to phase through solid objects.

Tali is Spider-Man (which is funny)  Shy, nerdy, teenager who's forced to accept great responsiblity as an admiral. Her species is treated as a menace to society by the Council and she's a technical wizard.

Nice catch with Spider-Man! Maybe Garrus is not as crazy as Joe Kelly's Deadpool, but during the Cable & Deadpool run he was actually "toned down" so that could fit as well... Liara as Ghost make sense, although picturing her as a sociopathic, paranoid guy who floats all the time and never has a shower is a little bit creepy.

Apparently, there are new romance scenes in the Leviathan DLC, but it's just tied to the ME3 cast, as usual.

Edit: It's like more dialogue or something that's connected with the events of the DLC, when Shepard goes underwater or something.  Since I'm not playing it, I don't know the actual detail.  

If it's just dialogue and such, then it won't be that bad if ME2 romances don't get anything, but it's always nice to include more, no?

Rich get richer, poor get poorer.  More of the "you chose wrong if you didn't choose Liara, Tali, Garrus, or the VS" problem that stinks up ME3.

Not even bothering with the DLC.  It's just more sprinkles on a turd.

I've heard something like that, but it's a very small content. It's just Liara saying "Be careful" if she's romanced before Shepard goes underwater or something like that.

I'll be waiting for the Omega DLC. If there's something that can have ME2 squadmates in it, it's the Omega DLC. That place was practically the "Citadel" of the Terminus Systems in ME2.
