I'm not touching that DLC with a ten-foot pole.

I wonder, how many of you actually bought this DLC...? and if you didn't is it because BW hasn't expanded upon Jack's romance?

For me that's why I'm not buying this or any other DLC they come out with until they add more Jack content. So, what about you?

I haven't, for more reasons than just Jack. I still fully believe that what Bioware put in the main game was poor, and I won't condone it by supporting it with DLC purchases and MP participation. I'm watching it on YouTube to see if they've made any steps to make amends, and while the DLC is good, its not making up for what the main game did.

The DLC isn't bad, the expanded history of the Reapers is straight out of H.P Lovecraft and you do get a few new weapons mods and Dominate as a bonus power. The downside is that there really isn't any reason to pay $10 for it, we all know how the story ends and having Levithan on your side just adds an extra couple lines of dialogue to the conversation with the Catalyst.

I don't care about the Reapers' backstory. I didn't expect their motivation to be unintelligible, not ineffable. But, here we are. Difference is, I'm up $10.

ME3 is a peculiar game. It gets better the less money you spend on it, including the money for the game itself.

The only content I would purchase would be something Jack specific and more importantly, nothing copy and paste - I hate that stuff and Bioware has been doing that a lot.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one who sees this DLC isn't worth the 10 bucks it cost, my reslience has just strengthen a little more. I guess my money will be absolutely going to walking dead episodes now, instead of any ME3 content. Thanks guysImage IPB

Edit: It's like more dialogue or something that's connected with the events of the DLC, when Shepard goes underwater or something.  Since I'm not playing it, I don't know the actual detail.

If it's just dialogue and such, then it won't be that bad if ME2 romances don't get anything, but it's always nice to include more, no?

I always figured a nice and easy way to nod towards the absent love interests in DLC would be to have a little dialogue related to them, even if the love interest isn't physically present. Something short and sweet, like a conversation between Shepard and someone else* about how he misses Jack or somesuch. Good way to show they're remembered and whatnot. Something short and sweet. "You okay?" "Yeah, just thinking about Jack" "You'll see her soon", etc. That sort of thing.

*Ideally Tali or Garrus, or maybe Joker or Dr. Chawkwas, since they were Jack and Shepard's crewmates and they must have seen the romance blossom during that time. But it seems like these sorts of conversations usually go to Liara

EDIT: And...yeah, I will be purchasing Leviathan. Well, if and when I manage to survive the ordeal that is planning my sister's wedding. I want more Mass Effect 3 to play.

I'd at least like a picture and some sort of acknowlegement from squadmates that I have an ME2 LI. A proper love scene where we get "softer" Jack would be nice. I like her and Shepard bantering back and forth and "Don't get yourself killed ****** after this is done I'm getting laid" is a funny line but I'd kind of like a moment where it's just Shepard and Jack and not another "Do you want to continue this romance? Yes/No" conversation.

Let Jack speak for herself about her role in ME3.

PS: I'm just teasing. I actually loved ME3, I am loving Leviathan and while Jack's role was small it was indeed done perfectly and was very fitting for her unique character development. Actually, I think this thread needs less hate and more Jack love, so... here's some.

Me too, and that's why I'm doing a ME2 walktrough right now... I didn't remember Jack was recruitable at the very beginning (right after Freedom Progress) so if you bring her with you everytime you practically have her by your side for 95% of the entire game.

It's not like having a true "Romance" during ME3, but an All-Jack ME2 playthrough is making me feel a lot better. Maybe it can help you too.

Yea im probably going to do that again soon. Jack is always the second squad member I get, then shes with me the whole time. I just switch between zaeed and garrus the rest of the way through.

I actually like recruiting her near last or midway, depends on how I feel like RPing - I like hearing Grunt say "I gotta see this!" when she blows through the YMIR Mechs. Plus, I like to space out her dialogue and such, so I don't end the conversation arc too quickly before hitting the Omega 4 relay.

Jack is usually third recruitment for me. The game somewhat compels you to recruit Mordin first, and you're already on Omega, so from an in-game POV it makes sense to get Garrus afterward. After that I get Jack, and then I'll usually do either an assignment or one of the two loyalty missions that are available at that point (usually Zaeed's, since unless I'm playing as a Soldier I like to do Kasumi's mission as soon as possible in order to acquire the Locust) and then recruit Grunt. That lays out all three of her pre-loyalty mission conversations neatly just prior to the mission on Horizon.

As pissed as I am about the ME2 romance treatment (Jack especially of course), I Absolutley adore the Mass Effect universe. Bioware built one of the deepest ecosystems we have seen in a game. There are literally hundreds of untapped stories out there in the ME universe.

Yea bw dropped the ball on ME3s story, but it's still an awesome game. And the DLC is really awesome.

I just wish there were more biotic squad mates (JACK!!). Liara is powerful but Kaiden...not so much.

My first choice is usually always my homeboy though...Garrus.

Also on my second play through I actually kind of like Vega's character. I think Freddie prinze jr did a great job on the voice acting.

Jack is always second recruitment, first Loyalty mission for me. I have to get Grunt first, purely for the lines he has both on Purgatory and on both Omega missions (take Grunt and Zaeed with you on Mordin's recruitment mission. You'll laugh, I promise).

I always take Jack on the story-central missions like Horizon, because in addition to her dialogue she is pretty good against groups of Husks. Aside from that, she's always the bubble specialist and faces Termi-Reaper with me. I once managed to get both Shep catching her and her catching Shep in the same run, but I think it was a glitch because I've never replicated it, and when I looked into the priorities (can't remember where they are) I found out they're geared so you should never have the same person in both scenes.

Only ever got Jack killed once, leading the fireteam. I did it on purpose just to experience it, and let me tell you... going back to the Normandy, seeing her little den empty, datapads still on the floor, gun on her cot... I reloaded and saved her immediately.

Now I'll have to do a Grunt-first walktrough only to experience that... sigh. I'll never complete ME2 again.

Jack is with me every time there's husks. So, Horizon, Collector Ship (usually with Thane), Derelict Reaper and Long Walk. When I play as a Sentinel, I actually bring her all the way through the Suicide Mission along with Samara (except for The Long Walk, during which Thane fills in as Samara does the bubble). Jack and Samara are tied as the squadmates with the shortest power cooldown, and that coupled with the fact that they both have Pull means you can reliably set off a biotic explosion roughly every four seconds or so, which makes the Suicide Mission a breeze.

My usual ME2 team is Miranda and Jack. Miranda's Cerberus Leader passive bonus gives the squad a 15% health bonus which really helps with the fact that Jack is pretty fragile. Warp also lets Jack set off biotic explosions with her powers.

The other combo that I like to use is Kasumi and Jack. Jack's powers are well suited to crowd control while Kasumi's Overload and Flashbangs can strip defences and Shadow Strike can knock out stronger baddies like Harbinger and Scions. Kasumi keeps the pressure off of Jack while she keeps the mooks out of her way  with Engineer Shepard debuffing targets with Incinerate, Cryo Blast, and Combat Drone.

I think I'll try that Kasumi + Jack combo during my actual ME2 playthrough. I'm using Zaeed because he's one of my favourite characters (and becasue I like to think of him as a father figure to Jack) but since I'm doing this with a Soldier Shep fighting the Collectors is starting to become frustrating.

I think a Biotic Shep, Jack and Grunt are still the best team though, both for my style of gameplay and for the sake of roleplaying the "Jack & Grunt BFF" headcanon.

I can't even imagine what Shep must have done to convince her.

EDIT: top with a Jim Lee-style Jack.

watched the leviathan dlc on youtbue and ranted about it earlier but i just thought of something funny. in mondo's stories about Jack shes always weirded out but his prothean sphere so imagine her reaction to a husk head on his table. talk about mood killer their lol she'd probably make him give it to vega since he sorta hinted at keeping it
