I see where you are coming from, but I got the impression she was on the verge of breaking down and trying to hold it together anyway possible. But yeah, I would have preferred something more meaningful.
Just ask any wife or girlfriend who has a husband or boyfriend in the military. They don't say "don't die, ******" or something like that when they're going to Iraq and might not be coming home. Seriously, what the ****? Who writes this garbage? Whoever it is doesn't have a soul.
The writing in ME3 is abysmal. If I was hired on to get the company back on track, the first thing I would do is fire the majority of the writing staff. There are so many writers out there who could do better and would LOVE the opportunity to work on high profile games like Mass Effect with the story and incredible cast of characters.
That part was actually very much Jack-like. I cannot seeing her expressing herself better because it's just the way she is, she loves him, it's obvious, but at the same time, she'll probably always express herself in a sarcastic, I don't give two ****s about you attitude, but under all those layers, she
really does. That's why, a lot of us complain before that Earth sequence - where is that emotional involvment and impact that was expressed through ME2? It's the fact that there is really only
minor changes between the Paragon romance and Renegade romance, which is a Bioware's writing and resource fail.
All I care to see for DLC is something involved with that emotional aspect to their relationship, compared to just physical.
