Here's the sketch of the picture I was talking about.  The final version didn't turn out so well, so I'm posting the sketch, instead.  I'm in talks with the artist about revising the final version.

It's Jack and MShep play-fighting, and Jack wearing a pair of one of Shepard's N7 shorts.

If I get the banhammer for linking this here, I don't particularly care.  I'm done with Bioware, either way.

NOT SAFE FOR WORK, BECAUSE BOOBIES (not an explicit picture)
Link

I like a lot the visual style of that artist, and it's great to see Jack & Shep happy together for once! If the banhammer doesn't fall (I don't seriously think it will... there are far worse pics being updated in the Liara thread everyday) let me know when the final version will be ready!

I was bored, thought I'd re-post Jack's cheat dialogue from ME2. It makes it pretty obvious why Jack only opens up if romanced, its a big deal to her.

Intro:

Jack: Hey
Shep: Talk to me, Jack
Jack: I got nothing to say. You act interested but you got other things going. So don't pretend you coming down here is special. You make a lot of stops.

Paragon:

Shep: Is this about Miranda?
Jack: I don't care where you play, but don't act like I'm precious if this is just killing time for you.
Shep: You're the one I'm interested in, Jack. I'll make sure Miranda knows.
Jack: You do that, then we'll talk.

Neutral:

Shep: You don't seem like the type to get hung up on that.
Jack: Maybe you don't know what type I am. I don't care where you play, but don't act like I'm precious if this is just killing time for you.
Shep: I make choices on the battlefield. Not in the bedroom.
Jack: I told you I don't give a sh*t who you sleep with. But you been talking like you want to understand and that freaks me out. So if your gonna keep doing that, you need to clear your head.

Renegade:

Shep: What I do on my ship is my own business.
Jack: No argument here. But don't come down here all concerned and careful if your trying to shove it up someone else. I don't care where you play, but don't act like I'm precious if this is just killing time for you.
Shep: I'm not ready to break it off.
Jack: Then why the hell are you talking to me? Get the f*ck out of here.

Been reading the War Assets for Leviathan. Apparently there are teams that place Leviathan's Orbs around the battlefield so they can enthrall Reaper forces:

103rd Alliance Marine Regimental Outpost, Arvuna

Jack: We're what?!

Major: You and your squad are going to be escorting an N7 Special Ops team into Reaper-controlled territory.

Jack: Aren't they the whack jobs we send in to get killed before the 103'rd takes the field?

Major: These aren't some cobbled-together band of mercenaries we're sending in an actual N7 team. Normally they could hold their own in enemy territory but we have a package to deliver. (pulls up an image of a glowing orb) Six weeks ago Commander Shepard made contact with...something. Command isn't saying who or what are new friends are but these orbs they've been sending us take control of all husks within a fifty kilometer radius.

Jack: So what, some voice yells "Assuming direct control!" and suddenly we've got an army of husks on our side?

Major: There's no voice but you've got the idea. (pulls up a map of the area) You and the N7 team are going to be placing the orb at this point here where there's the largest concentration of husks. The thing's too big to move on foot so it will be loaded onto an M-35 Mako which your students will be in charge of defending. Once the orb is in position and active the 103rd will rendezvous at your location and prepare to press the attack on the enemy.

Jack: So we're off to build a freaking zombie army?

Major: Pretty much.

Jack: Sounds like fun.

Yeah, Jack is right. When I read about those "operations" to send Leviathan's globes into the Reapers battlefield I almost thought the same thing.

Leviathan (both the DLC and the actual Leviathan) was freaking awesome anyway. No Jack involved, but a damn good DLC nonetheless. Let's hope it sells good (anybody have some information about that?) so that BioWare can start working on that Omega DLC. As I said before, if there's a DLC that can have some Jack in it, it's Take Back Omega.

I have a question; sorry that it is off topic from the Leviathan discussion above. I was wondering, if there has ever been any writing (fan fiction or otherwise) dealing with the interlude between ME2-ME3, where Shepard leaves Jack to go to the Alliance? Thanks.

General Slotts asked earlier if Jack dies at Grissom Academy if she was Unloyal in ME2.

She does not.

She even has the same same dialogue.

I'm saddened by the lack of variables.  At the same time, at least she can be her own person without Shepard.

I just found it weird how some characters mysteriously die if not loyal, ie. Zaeed, Grunt, Miranda I think, but others don't. Thanks Taboo.

Without Shepard, she winds all cerberusy.

That's only if you don't do Grissom Academy though. Its not like Zaeed who just collapses over dead for no reason if unloyal, at least with Grunt it makes some sense since he didn't do his "becoming a krogan" thing in ME2.

It's been a while since I've popped my head in here, but I just was curious on what was going on and if there has been any new, awesome fan work since last I looked. As per usual, there has been plenty. This one, in particular, caught my eye.

Love it. I automatically went to Jack years after the reaper invasion and her man, Shepard, saves the galaxy. She stuck around for clean up and to see her class "officially" graduate, but she didn't stay long after that. She's now living off a fat government pension for playing such an important role in the mission (ie: being on Shepard's crew) so she doesn't have to fight for survival anymore. Garrus and Tali message her every now and than just to catch up like old friends, but she knows they do it mostly out of respect. They have a nice life on Rannoch now, one that she keeps promising them she'll come visit and see for herself one day, even though they all know she never really intends to. She's left her wild life behind her and is finally at peace, the way Shepard wanted her to be. But, damn....does she miss him at times.

I really didn't like her dialogue at the end.

It came across as cold... like she didn't really care about Shepard at all. It goes against everything the romance was in ME2. It was a very emotion scene before hitting the Collector base. ME3's scenes aren't emotional at all, IMO.

Anyone else feel this way?

I see where you are coming from, but I got the impression she was on the verge of breaking down and trying to hold it together anyway possible. But yeah, I would have preferred something more meaningful.

Just ask any wife or girlfriend who has a husband or boyfriend in the military. They don't say "don't die, ******" or something like that when they're going to Iraq and might not be coming home. Seriously, what the ****? Who writes this garbage? Whoever it is doesn't have a soul.

The writing in ME3 is abysmal. If I was hired on to get the company back on track, the first thing I would do is fire the majority of the writing staff. There are so many writers out there who could do better and would LOVE the opportunity to work on high profile games like Mass Effect with the story and incredible cast of characters.

The "Don't get yourself killed ******, after this I'm getting laid." and Shepard responding with "I love you too." is pretty much in-character for Jack. She's not going to get all mushy in the middle of a warzone.

My problem is that her date scene is just another "Do you want to continue this romance? Yes/No" conversation. If you stick with Jack Shepard makes it pretty clear on Grissom Academy  that he isn't going anywhere. Having Jack wanting to break things off with Shepard because she's afraid of losing him and not being able to be there with him if that should happen. Bravado is a part of Jack's character but that "softer" side of her that we get to see when it's just Jack and Shepard is a pretty important part of the romance.

That part was actually very much Jack-like.  I cannot seeing her expressing herself better because it's just the way she is, she loves him, it's obvious, but at the same time, she'll probably always express herself in a sarcastic, I don't give two ****s about you attitude, but under all those layers, she really does.  That's why, a lot of us complain before that Earth sequence - where is that emotional involvment and impact that was expressed through ME2? It's the fact that there is really only minor changes between the Paragon romance and Renegade romance, which is a Bioware's writing and resource fail.

All I care to see for DLC is something involved with that emotional aspect to their relationship, compared to just physical.

In-character or not, it still seemed pretty cold. It was possibly the last time she would ever see Shepard again and those are her last words? I just don't buy it.

Believe me, everyone here agrees. We just chose to accept it for what it is. That's what happens when there is no writer continuity. Heck even if they had followed up Shep's "I love you too" with Jack saying something like, "thanks for understanding, I'm barely holding it together as it is" would have been light years better than a ****ing disconnect.

It could be a lot worse though, at least Jack remembers who she had relations with.

Jackmancers should have gotten something like that, something private with Jack in Shepard's quarters.

Back to the previous idea of Jack and the N7 Special Ops teams:

Noveria

Jack: (pulling up hood on N7 hoodie) So let me get this straight, there's no time for that jackass back on the ship to get us an air strike but there's time to get us to hold a barrier around the freaking shuttle?

Soldier: Don't think about it too much, right now the only thing that matters is gunning down Geth.

Prangley: Didn't we just clear this place out  yesterday? Shouldn't we have the 103rd or another garrison holding the base?

Vorcha: Not matter! We kill big machines!

Soldier: Alright Bernie, we get it.

Rodriguez: Why do you call him Bernie?

Soldier: 'Cause he likes to burn things. Well that and he tends to get set on fire a lot, don't really worry about it 'cause of that freaky regeneration thing he does.

(shuttle door opens)

Announcer: (over radio) We're running out of time! Clear the area!

Jack: We just got here you moron!

Announcer: Well sorry if I want to do my job your highness!

Jack: We'll see who's talking when I shove that mic up your ass!

Jack and the Vorcha together. HELL YEAH.

(The Vorcha are just that  awesome.)

PS: I'd like to point out that in my MP all the Vorcha have names like "Bob", "Bernie", "Frankie" or "Billy". They definitely sounds perfect for them.
