I'm just gonna drop this one in here.

Also, haven't gotten Leviathan yet, and most likely won't have the Omega DLC when it drops too, so I can either ask for you guys not to spoil it, or just simply not check the forums for a minute.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone watches Supernatural, but there's this one episode called "Mystery Spot," where Sam has to relive the day where his brother Dean died. No matter what he did to try and stop it, Dean always dies in a different way than before.

I was just thinking about how it would look if Jack was forced to relive the day that Shepard died. And couldn't do anything to stop it.

Picture's finished.  I call it "Tangled Effect".  I was combining my favorite characters across-medium and this popped into my head.  I liked it enough to commisison a picture of it in order to have it in graphic form.  If you haven't seen Disney's "Tangled", you probably own't recognize these characters.  And no, I'm not saying these characters line up just right.

All I remember from Tangled is that the most effective melee weapon in the world is a frying pan. Which just makes me picture Jack knocking mooks into orbit with her Omni-Skillet.

I love Tangled, and I love that picture! Wrex as the Chameleon is fantastic!

...PS: that Shepard misses Jack moment is surprisingly powerful.

It's been on hold for a couple of weeks, since there's been a death in the family. We had to leave everything behind and travel 30 hours up north on the bus.

We just got home recently and had to get back into the regular routine.

I'm thinking about resuming my work on Finding Shepard, next week. I can't stay away from my ME obssession for too long, lol.

I don't believe it's ever been explicitly stated. Jack was there until she was at least 9, though, and she says that she escaped when she "was a kid". So I put the closing date at no later than 2175.

Yeah, I always thought there was a great resemblance there. I don't know if they actually used Loren as the face model, if only because it seems to me that whenever they base character's faces on real people they usually go with more contemporary models/actors (Mark Vanderloo, Yvonne Strahovski, Rana McAnear, etc.) but the similarity is extremely uncanny. The facial structure (except perhaps for the chin), the eyes, the lips, etc.

Here's a bit of art that I thought was nice:

I mentioned it in a status update yes. No actual proof Sophia Loren was a model reference, but the resemblance is quite uncanny. The ME artbook mentions a facial scan, but from what I hear about the process, it is quite difficult to alter a mesh after the fact without something messing up [thus the "wider faces" we get in comparison to source photos].

I've always thought that she looks a lot like Natalie Portman.

Hey GT you're branching alot.:wizard: After seeing the Sophia Loren pics wow she looks so like her, would be pretty cool if Natalie played her in an ME movie perhaps.

Plus, I kind of have a crush on Portman, especially after 'Black Swan'.

Black Swan was absolutely overrated by the Academy, that's true. It's not a crime if people liked it though.

Sofia Loren as Jack is something really fascinating. If anything, it's really astounding to see a classic actress turning out so well as a Sci-Fi post-punk crazy badass with superpowers!

PS: incredible fan-art these days in the thread, guys! Keep 'em coming!
