No, she's totally thinking of ways to integrate suave, lawyer!Shep into kinky roleplay.

Shepard uses "rally the crowd": it's super effective.
Jack is confused

Oh, she probably is.....but that's because she caught herself staring at Shep to begin with.  So, she has to make fun of him to make up for it.  Her mind is saying "I totally wasn't checking him out!  I swear I wasn't!  I mean, look at him!  Being all lawyer-y......acting so tough, so.....confident....so strong....so se.....   Ummm, STUPID!  Yeah, he looks stupid up there!"

She ends up getting mad at him because she doesn't want to admit that she's checking him out and Shep can't seem to figure out what he did wrong hahaha.

Anyone who loves Jack should make sure they've watched the Riddick films, in particular Chronicles of Riddick. In personality and backstory she resembles the character Kira through and through.

I wonder what Jack's theme will be if she's a permanent squadmate, especially because of her character growth. Maybe a bit more orchestrated, but still having recurring segments from her theme in ME2.

Yeah, I love both movies.  Personally, I find that they have similiar things about them, but are still very different.  Kira was more influenced by Riddick in Pitch Black, (seeing Riddick kill instead of being brought up her whole life to kill) which led her to becoming what she was in second film. I believe Kira could of gone a different route if she wanted to.   I see Jack being different in the sense that she had been forced to go through everything as a child and basically develop killing as a natural instintic, while being forced to survive whatever outcome that was thrown at her and not being able to choose any other route because she was raised to kill.

I watched the second Riddick movie (was it Chornicles?) a couple of weeksbefore playing ME2 for the first time. I remembered Kira's talking about being abused by the crew of a freighter/starship/space cigar whatever then put in various prisons, so when I heard Jack talking about her past I thought "dammit I hope she won't die on a spike..."
I'm confident that the idea behind Jack's name came from the Riddick movies :-)

Oh Juhani, why can't you fancy guys. ;_;

Then play as Female Revan (ok I'm just trolling)

I have KOTOR but haven't played it yet. Are you for real she doesn't like guys? But I'm a guy, how am I supposed to romance her unless I...uh...roleplay...as a female.....wow problem solved. Thank Epants. You saved me from months and months of raging for no reason.

I heard that everyone is getting a casual outfit + battle gear. I don't have the link yet but after the Ashley debacle, I'm not surprised. My question is, why now? Why make Miranda waddle around ME2 pulling wedgies out of her cat suit every time Shepard cover-fires, and then do this? If they didn't need it before, why need it now.

I agree, but surely you can foresee the gap of logic when Jack is in combat gear in ME3 and you think "hmm, why doesn't she wear this is ME2". Same goes for everyone else who's wearing "light armor" in ME2.

And I don't need to get started on paying real life money just to put something respectable on Miranda. That's the joke right there, no punchline needed.

Indeed, and it's her battle attire. Now in ME3 it seems everyone will finally have protection of some kind, making ME2 a slightly more awkward experience.

That's how it worked in ME1, at least for humans: Shepard, Ash and Kaidan had military uniform (aka casual outfit) while aboard the Normandy and battle armor while on missions. Casual outfit + battle gear is one of the features that got removed in ME2 and that, upon fan request, will return in ME3 (like weapon customizations).
I approve :-)

Wild speculation tiem: what kind of armor will Jack wear in ME3? *If* she will have armor?

If you don't patch the game it should be possible and there is a mod.
Good luck with her, it's a very buggy romance.
Weird, the Jack romance was the only one that bugged in ME2.

I see a pattern!

I'd like to see her in a medium armor since she is the equivalent of a vanguard.

I really wish they'd show off Jack's new look already. That way they can get some fan feedback and still have time to change it =/ I'm worried but excited at the same time.

I dobut they'll address it at all, but if they do, it could be done with a few simple lines of throw away dialogue, similar to how omni-gel was addressed in the LotSB DLC.

Jack: Hey, how come you didn't tell me that armour was so light and comfortable? I always thought you looked ****in' clunky, but this isn't bad at all.
Shepard:  I was worried how you might react if I tried telling you what to wear.
Jack: So you let me assault the collector hive wearing just a shield harness and some stompy boots, 'cause you though I might get pissed if suggested I cover up? Actually, that was probably a smart choice on your part.
Shepard: Glad we're in agreement. By the way, did you need to graffiti quite so many obscinities onto your armour? I thought the turian councilor was going to choke the last time we were on the Citadel.
Jack: Yeah, well, **** that dude.

^^lol fair enough.

Greenlock wrote...

She has shotgun training so I guess she's a vanguard. The thing is that Adepts can now use any gun they want (correct?) so she seriously needs more biotic talents.

Wooow, never seen that before. That's just the kind of non standard-issue combat gear that Jack would rock. It's a bit too techno for me, but Jack can pull off anything.

The question is who's request was it to remove these things just for ME2. Since you still prolly can't customize their armor, I'm hoping for more individual researchable upgrades. Finding and investing in "additions" to squad armor like in DA2.

I like the concepts stefan posted, but I especially want to see the actualization of Kyrene's padded leather idea. Here's another question, given the choice between body armor and casual outfit, which do you have her bring into battle? I hope the armor has stats, obviously, so people have to pay the price for prefering eye candy over practicality, but for the sake of argument I'm going to assume they don't have bonuses.

Padded leather, eh?

I just finished my "canon" Insanity run of 'Mass Effect'. It took me forever to get Kaidan a decent set of armour. It boggles me that human/asari light armour is so rare when the majority of classes are limited to it. Anyways, up until I finally managed to hook him up with a set of L Predator X he was running around wearing Duelist armour, because I liked the look. The picture there is pretty dark, but you can still make out the elements. It has a padded look, and what I really liked is under the various bits of protection, the arms appear to be wrapped like a martial artist.

I'd like to think of Jack's armour will be somewhat more...personalised, but I'd be pretty happy if she was wearing something similar to that set.

Amour, every time.

There's some merit to the lore argument that shields are enough seeing as armour isn't going to stop bullets, so it doesn't matter what Jack or Miranda or Thane are flouncing about in. However, armour does protect from the elements, and krogan charges, and biotically hurled crates, and so on and so forth.

Shields are great and obviously important, but if a character can have shields and armour, then why not? Although, maybe I'm full of it, seeing as I never have the characters wearing helmets when the option to not do so is available.

I romanced Jack and had the romance scene, but it seemed the romance wasn't "logged".
I couldn't invite her to the captain's quarter :(
