There was a lot of twittering from Patrick Weekes and one of the editors about prepping lots of VO work over the next week or so. Hale already came in to do her lines, and there's smatterings of dialogue being written for Seth Green.

Chances are it's all for E3 build, or the production timing for VO was coincidentally close to Comicon.

We'll see when it's all out there.

Yeah, I wonder how she feels about the current changes towards Jack, like the hair/softer side(which I was expecting because of her being my LI) and armor, well battle armor.

So i spent all day slacking off ,listening to some music and happen to make a drawing.

I few weeks ago i got a creative jolt thinking about Jack an the possibilities offered by Garry's mod; Figured i'd do a Half life /Mass effect /Team fortress epic , Starring our girl Jack. Unfortunately the models of Jack that i found couldn't use facial expression ; And while certain characters could go unnnoticed without facial expression ,Thane & (most the time) Zaeed for example, i think Jack could never be properly depicted without.

And thinking about this some more, Its probably why i like Jack so much.

Regardless, I've still got this need to get these ideas out, and since i can't take the easy road I'll try and headstrong my way out of it. However between this and a half dozen other things I'm juggling at the moment I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to get into this. Also the technical side of it makes it even harder: My scanner's got a mind of its own and I've never used photoshop before ... I'd like very much to do some more.

(If this works ) -I'm looking for criticism-



Bascally, i was thinking about her casual wear she could have and thought Pjs or sweat-pants would be drop dead sexy. I was trying to figure out what kind of sports they'd play in the future , and have her wear a Team's jersey.

Right off the bat , the tattoo are missing. I tried an alternative drawing with them ,but it didn't work all too well. Ill have to either work on my technic or finish it up with Pain.net. Sencondly the left side arm is way too big , i tried to cover it with a glove to lessen the impact, it kinda worked. The right side arm is what i'm going for. And arms are a hell of a challange for me.

Anyways , its still a rough sketch; But i felt the need to share.

It looks very good so far. I don't have any constructive criticism except what you already said: large "left side" arm. Maybe she's just wearing a "Hulk glove". The other arm (and hand) looks perfect though.

I was confused for a split second when you said the "left side" arm was too big because I have a medical background and I'm used to referring to left and right limbs relative to the patient as opposed to from my perspective. So I looked at the "right side" arm (Jack's left arm) and was thinking "what?! it's not too big! It's just right!" Then I realized you were referring to it from the viewer's perspective (which explains why you called it "the left side arm" instead of "Jack's right arm").

This I liiike!! Great proportions (besides the obvious right arm you mentioned). Totally agree about the pj's/sweatpants, this would be one sexy casual fit. Can't wait to see the final edition, this is way better than anything you can do in Gmod, imo. More time consuming, but all things worth keeping are.

Yes, there's American Armored Handegg (Football) played in the future. Mostly krogan play on human-owned teams, though, due to their physical advantage. I think the asari have their own sports that integrate biotics in to the rules.

Though call, I'm not sure what Jack would prefer.

On one hand the Krogan football might tap into her violent nature , on the other hand she might enjoy the Biotic aspect of that Asari sport you mentioned. the Armored Handegg or the Red dragons , like kyrene mentioned , is something that we're more typically used to , i wonder what kind of name Asari's have for their teams.

The finished version is pretty far off i'll admit.

I've never used Photoshop & Paint.net before so it gets frustrating at time (only because of the learning curves i hope). I really wish i could at least get it clean & crisp , colours might come in far far later. But , you are correct , its far more satisfying once you've work hard on it

Dammit , we need 30 hour days or something. Not enough time with only 24 ...

LoL , I figured "handegg"  was a type of Armadillo and it was used as a team emblem ... but since its in the ME universe i thought ; Krogan space Armadillo ;P

Edit: But , which sport do you think Jack would prefer , Space football or the Biotic centred one?

Yeah it would be hard. I used to draw a lot, but I kinda stopped. I haven't tried my hand with Jack at all. The way you have her arm positioned can make the tattoos especially difficult just because of the way the arm is turned out. I think if you do most of the shading and muscle lines after drawing the tattoos it may be easier. It's also hard because you have to draw the tattoos from the inside/medial side of her arm, while still drawing the tatts on her shoulder/deltoids almost the same way they would look if her arm wasn't turned out. (I might have just made that more confusing)

You know ive been thinkin..I came by this interesting video and I somehow linked it to Jack.

theres this one part at the beginning where the doctor guy says something like,
Using drugs isnt a moral failure or personality flaw, its a symptom to a bigger illness.

I thought that part was profound. It was an avenue of understanding that I didnt know existed.

i feel like its Jack-related but cant piece together how. Thought I should share. Help understand Jack more. The more you know.
