I guess it's unfortunate that all us Jack fans are so blinded by our rabid obsession with a video game character that we can't even entertain any outside character interpretations. Given the circumstances of 'Mass Effect 3', what would you like Jack to be doing when Shepard encounters her again?

I'd like for her to have set herself up as some sort of pirate queen, leading a small armada against reapers in the Terminus systems.

Hahahaha!! I think it was fainmaca that suggested her melee line should be "RRRAAAAUURRR!!!!!" a cookie for both of you.

Also, it's prolly just me but several sessions and now apparently 2 hours of just screaming is a long time for just a cameo

That depends, is the timeline between Arrival and Shepard's trial a couple months or a year? I've heard both from different sources.

I couldn't see Jack commanding that kind of loyalty. I could see her partnering up with Aria for dependable but uncommitting stability, though, so she can jump onto Shepard's ship when given the chance. Isn't Cerberus also attacking Omega or something? So she can be kicking Cerberus' ass, right?

Maybe she'll try to destroy some Cerberus fac...something. I'm sure she has an endless supply of hatred for Cerberus, so her wrecking something they're doing makes sense to me. Maybe she'll play a significant role in finding out why Cerberus appears to be indoctrinated. 

Whatever we find her initially doing is going to set the tone for her character...probably.

First and foremost: I'd just like to thank everyone of you for keeping the discussion so civil. Most of the other character-threads seem fairly infantile compared to this one, and I'm glad it's looking like it'll continue to do so.

I really wish I had an answer for this, but as long as the details are unclear about exactly how/when the start of ME3 is going to be handled, it feels impossible to make good guesses. Pirate queen doesn't sound half-bad at all. But perhaps she could have settled slightly down - found a nice place to live, championed a school for biotic children or the like.

Whatever she plans on doing, I'm certainly looking forward to it. Jack is one of the few characters they can take in any direction they choose to.

Possibly. That depends entirely on how much the writers at BioWare feels we redeemed her in ME2. She grew vulnerable by the end of her romance, which might have sown a more gentle future for her. The best example I can think of how her character grows is how she addresses Shepard as "Commander" as the biotic specialist in the Suicide Mission. She does so without a pinch of sarcasm in her voice, which shows she's learned to regard authority in a way she was unable to before.

yeah man, I have a few.   Ill post from oldest to the most recent.  Each are basically progressions through her time with Shepard and Nought being a post ME2 song, basically going into ME3

I could see her being muscle for Mordin's old clinic on Omega. Not exactly helping people yet, but helping people helping people. At the same time having hooked up with Marsh (that batarian merchant whose goods she comments on) running a small, but lucrative weapons smuggling racket. In her spare time she's building herself some combat armor, complete with kill count, profaned slogans, red-'n-black flowers and skulls painted on and installed with illegal mods she gets as her cut from the Marsh deal. She's also working on an L7 knock-off implant, the schematics of which she just happened to see in an email between that guy on Feros and Shepard.

Or she's still below engineering, brooding.

I'm not a fan of random encounters where we find a character doing something, I would much prefer Shepard giving them missions to accomplish. With Shepard forced to turn himself in, it would make sense for him to want them to continue the fight and I don't see Shepard showing up on Earth with a ship full of criminals. Which to me seems like a great way to explain Shepard getting separated from his crew without having something silly happen.

Something I wonder about is, on Purgatory, Kuril said that they blackmail each inmates species to pay them to hold them. Did the Alliance pay for Jack to be held there or Cerberus? The latter I would believe would do that, but I would think the Alliance would want to get a hold of her and not leave her with the Blue Suns.
