She says to Renegade Shepard that for the sake of their friendship, she'll avoid Shepard at all costs or she will be bound by the Code to attack him/her.

And that's AFTER you do her LM.

You talk to her and learn a bit about the Justicars before her LM, and it's not difficult to discern from just her recruit mission that you walk a fine line with Samara if she isn't 3rd Oathed to you.

Not every Ardat Yakshi is violent murderer.
Check Ardat Yakshi Codex entry again.

Morinth had a choice, she went that way on her own.

I know how they work, what I don't know is the extent of this "seclusion", so I assume it's like a well-decorated prison. Her addiction now is too dangerous, so I side with Samara, but I understand a personality like Morinth's wanting to run away. What I can see is a renegade needing Morinth's temporary service for the suicide mission, because they believe Samara's black and white thinking is potentially more dangerous to him/herself than Morinth's personal addiction. It's an awful thing to do, but I get it.

Jack did not and still didn't came out even near as evil like Morinth.
Plus Jack has a lot of good in her while Morinth has no quality for redemption.

No doubt, I didn't mean to compare the two. Though it is sad that they are compared in some circles. And how Jack is worse cuz you have to recruit her

Saved.

Great pic. Definitely badass, though Shepard looks like she's bored of too much Team B :D

@Bonte

Indeed, I'd like to hear Jack and Kaidan chat about headaches and biotics and smurch, he's alive in a few imports for that very reason. And Grunt better be the token krogan or Vega and the female human die.

Just finished my second playthrough of ME:2 -- other than LotSB and Arrival -- and for giggles I decided to call Jack up to Shepard's cabin.

Is it just me, or did BioWare kinda drop the ball with that option? Jack was sitting on Shepard's lap and it just looked...ridiculous. Completely out of character. That got me thinking about how it would be for other characters, and I can't really see Miranda sitting on Shepard's lap either. Maybe Tali. Presumably lady Shepards sit on the lap of whatever dude they've called up to the cabin as well, and that seems a bit odd as well when I consider the two playthroughs of ME:1 I did as a lady Shepard.

Anyways! So this post is sort of on topic, what kind of activities do you see Jack and Shepard getting up to after the collectors threat has been averted?

I believe it was just for lack of resources or whatever time frame Bioware was going through. It's easier just to have that specific action be the same for each LI right, well at least in my opinion. If you noticed, in ME1 the romance scene's were almost identical for each individual, in terms of animation.

Yeah they basically have everyone with the lap-sitting and cuddles thing, and it does seem out of character for Jack in particular...

I have a FemShep with Jacob, and he even sits on the couch with the nut-cruncher crossed legs like all the female squad members do. It all just seems very cut&paste. They probably just wanted to have everything be the same for every LI.

I doubt they'll do that again though. In Dragon Age 2, if you romance Isabela, she never moves into the Hawke estate with you, like all the other LI's do. Three cheers for adjusting for unique personalities. :P

Hunt down T.I.M. , get her to see the folks, build her a house.

A side from that , we still need to play diplomat & rally up the races to fight the Reapers; Travel to the migrant fleet , Geth hubs , Hanar Home-world and so on. Try and find some more Prothean clues, Ruins & Relics . Use the Shadow broker's network to tip the scale in our favour.

I can see her tagging along for assassinations & treasure hunting ... not so sure how she'd play out at the negotiating table.

ok out of all our squad members who would you like to hear the banners (sic) between jack and who!?

I always lose Kaidan on Virmire (he volunteers before Ash does, and the bomb–then invariably guarded by Ash–is always more important than the AA tower), but I'd have loved to hear them chat. Kaidan is so level headed and Jack such a short fuse, but both very powerful human biotics.

Although, IMnsHO, the bed cuddling does look great between those two.

The first thing my Shepard does is to go back to Illium to buy any star charts for systems not yet explored by then (invariably only Minos Wasteland and Pylos Nebula). They then continue adventuring (that being a very nebulous term that may include piracy or just all round getting-up-Cerberus'-nose activities).

That made me laugh. And indeed it is cut'n'paste, they could have easily enabled it for only a select few LI, but they wanted it to be fair. I hope that isn't the case for ME3 in any way. Animations, endings, dialogue, w/e. I have this sickening feeling they'll have all the LI get married for the sake of fairness.

Indeed, and I think it's not OOC under specific circumstances, but it appears the two birds are just chirping to each other, chatting about the day's events. SInce that's the case, I imagine Jack sitting next to you and propping her boots on your lap like in this picture.

Same. I save a few Cerby missions for after the LM, like recovering that operative's information and uploading it for myself. Definitely a different feeling after you've blown up the base, like you're further deconstructing their influence even after TIM says to not turn your back on him. Then when everyone thinks things have calming down, I take Jack and Grunt to that side mission with like a million husks in those ruins and try our hand at Zombie Mode.

Love that side mission.

Which brings me to a question: anyone have a specific order for playing missions?

I play bottom-to-top (according to the journal log): meaning Jack's recruitment always happens first, while Mordin's happens last before Horizon for instance. Any side missions are dealt with if and when they are in the same star cluster as a main mission (so anything Omega related will happen only if doing Garrus or Mordin or Samara's LM). Those not in the same star cluster as any main mission are dealt with if they are en route (mass relay hop-wise) to a star cluster for a main mission. Anything else is post-SM (threat neutralized) or pre-Horizon (when the threat isn't 'real' yet). I still manage to metagame completionist the game that way without it detracting from the 'urgency' of preparing for the SM much. I never do the Liara quests (I don't have LotSB yet, may never, and feel they belong with that; also I truly despise her character and Shepard's forced interaction with her in ME2).

So, how do you folks meet your Jacks?

Hey - Spiros

It's not exactly what I wanted out of the recording, but the laptop that I use is going apeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee **** on me, so I might not be able to record anymore! The sound is a bit low too, again because of the laptop - it does this weird grrrrrr sound like it's angry at me for something lmao.

@ Kyrene

My canon is going through the missions in this order: Garrus - Mordin - Jack - Grunt (I may switch those 2 because I like when Grunt says "I gotta see this"). Post Horizon = Samara - Thane - Tali last. I tend to do Jack's LM second or third last, just to get the romance conversation to feel more natural before heading to Omega.

Indeed, all for metagaming reasons. I'm with you that Jack is first, but for me it's because her lines during Mordin, Garrus, and especially Grunt's recruit missions are too good to miss. I'm surprised you can wait that long to recruit Mordin cuz I have a difficult time without those lab upgrades. As for the LM, I do them based on the usefulness of their bonus power. So Grunt, Tali, Mordin, , and anyone I use a lot like Jack and Garrus are done first.  I now see that I metagame quite a bit, but after 8+ playthroughs it's hard not to.

I never do the Liara quests (I don't have LotSB yet, may never, and feel they belong with that; also I truly despise her character and Shepard's forced interaction with her in ME2).

I do too, and LotSB has even more vomit-inducing forced interaction, but it's still pretty good DLC. They tack on things at the end like being able to respec your squad just to make you buy it for tactical reasons, which irritates me. But hey, imo it's worth it for the soundtrack and information about Jack :D

So, how do you folks meet your Jacks?

I take Zaeed cuz like Snake said his "Wait, THAT'S Jack?" is just hilarious, along with "One girl did this?", I mean this guy has seen some sh!t but he's just dumbfounded. 2nd squaddie is Miranda so she knows who she's dealing with, and for this exchange:

Miranda : She's killed Cerberus people and destroyed Cerberus property, hense the bounty.
Jack: You die first.
Miranda: ........
*pin audibly hits the floor*

This I liiike! Great upload, and the quality is good enough. The tune itself is very...peaceful, and the birds and what sounds like the ocean are a nice complement. Keep up the god work, Commander!

How is it more natural? Cuz then she doesn't take so long to "think about everything"?

I don't really have a set order for missions, but somehow I always end up doing Grunt last. On my last playthrough, in fact, I forgot to open Grunt's tank before going to Horizon. lol.

Generally, though, I always get Mordin first, and then Garrus because hey, they're both right there on Omega. Then I get Jack.

I do all the DLC before the suicide mission, cuzza the upgrades and heavy weapon ammo (I like to have 2 shots with the Cain on the Reaper larva). As far as the exploration/side missions go, I clear out a cluster at a time, clockwise, starting at the Citadel.

Thanks Goalistair!!  Yeah, when they release more information on her for ME3 I'll write some more stuff!!

@Goat

I really enjoy birds, so I thought it would compliment the song well and she reminds me of birds anyway.

I did her LM first one time when I was romancing her and it was just annoying not being able to go down and talk to her till hitting the Omega 4 Relay.   So I'm basically doing all these missions and I get stuck with saying "We need to talk about us" like 6-7 times, lol(I love hearing it a mission or two before the Omega 4 Relay because of her line "You're weird Shepard".  I blame the limited dialogue, but you can only have so much in the game, so I'm really excited to continue the relationship in ME3.

Also, it's probably just the way I play, I like to talk to everyone after every mission, so I tend to end the dialogues earlier because of that.  I think I might pace it better while doing my canon playthrough, maybe talk to her after every 2 missions or something.  I don't know yet, I'll experiment to see what I like the best.

Thanks bro, that's what I like to go for :)

I was playing at Second Cup and this guy was like "Dude, you should write some zen music or something, that's the vibe I'm getting"

In all honesty, Jack's character just brings out this really calm feeling when I write something for her.  It's probably because of all the wall's she put up and being able to see past those.  If only Shepard could play guitar :P

I have to really edit some of the sound because of the laptop I use - it's basically messed up and constatly has this grrr sound that I mentioned, so it effects what I play.   No, I found the pic randomly in my picture folder, I think it's from a random google image or something haha

@DryIce
she might feel like that depending on how much time has passed
not that jack could really blame him for being in Alliance custody but she could still feel betrayed....she got close to someone and he let her down
but I doubt it
