I disagree - I like that Jack and Shepard can feel comfortable enough around each other that they can playfully antagonize one another while knowing they don't really mean it. Jack's "I was getting sick of your stupid face" line is terrific, and I think is indicative of a perfectly healthy relationship in which she knows Shepard won't get offended and storm off at those quips. I don't really see an equivalent of this with any of the other romances, which are all very straight-laced cutesy/serious.

Also: really like the picture, Ninjapino!

I agree, I don't think I have ever said a kind word to my friends lol(I'm exaggerating) but we antagonize each other often and that's just how our friendship is. That's how I would see Jack and Shepard, playful jabs, simply because that is how Jack would be most comfortable.

Yeah, I used to know two people who always cussed at each other, got into fights and such, but it was all in fun and normal for them.  That sort of playfulness fits with how I see Jack and Shepard developing their relationship further because the playful jabs and humour also helps getting them to be more comfortable with each, which I see as a great thing for both of them.  Also, I play my Shepard as a funny guy (I wish there was more funny lines that weren't restricted towards renagade options lol) and he would definitely contribute towards that type of activity between the two.

That last part got me curious. I doubt it'll happen, but I wonder if Jack's attitude (or any other LI) could influence Shepard in a way. Like different tone of voice, new ways of approaching a situation, or maybe the squad commenting on how different Shepard is since hanging out with "x" person.

Actually nevermind, probably too much for a game at this point, in terms of VA, budget, etc.

I really like that picture. Now for something completely different, since James Vega is tasked with guarding Shepard while he's in the brig (see Mass Effect: Conviction) I wonder if that will continue after the fall of Earth.

Vega: Sorry ma'm, the Commander is techically under house arrest.

Jack: That's nice. (steps out of  the elevator and heads for the cabin door)

Vega: Ma'm I can't let you in there. (grabs Jack's shoulder)

Shepard: (walks out) Jim, she lives here, let her in. I really don't want to explain to Hackett why we had to clean you off the inside of the elevatior.

Vega: Sir-

This is my first post on this thread, showing some Jack love. I like the pic. I don't want Jack to be too soft in ME3 but I would like to see her be softer towards Shep if you ramanced her.

Thankfully, Casey Hudson, and I believe Jack's writer, have pretty much confirmed that will, in fact, be the case. Along with her new look (head back a few pages to see how some of the Jack-Fans would like her to look) Jack's personality will be slightly different depending on whether or not one's Shepard went Paragon or Renegade with her.

Heh, I've actually seen Rabbitzoro's work before, it is quite amusing. They did the drawing of "Milo Shepard," from a Jack fanfiction I really enjoy. IE, the only one I've ever read. But it was good!

Well from what I see in these topics, most consider posting a picture, someone posting "squee" or something insane like that in response, as a topic being very much alive. I personally prefer to actually talk about the characters, but right now there isn't really anything to talk about that wouldn't just be a retread.

Well one thing I'd be interested to hear some opinions about is how you think the Jackmance will proceed after Omega Four.

I'm not talking about what you think Jack and Shep's future is, whether they'll settle down or not and so on. But rather, how do you think Jack will treat the relationship the day after Omega Four, the months after that, the beginning of ME3.

Personally, I see Jack as being a bit bipolar about the whole thing. She still bears a lot of insecurities, possibly not thinking herself worth the Commander's time, fearing that she's still just a quick lay and not much more. But then at other times she's determined to make it work, confident, hopeful. She'd fluctuate between the two extremes, one day telling Shep to fvck off, the next asking him where the fvck have you been. This could lead to conflicts extending and expanding the romance arc, eventually building towards a point where Shepard convinces her to have faith in the relationship, assuring her that, while not many people are even willing to try to do so, he understands her, whether she returns his affections or not.

Basically, in ME2 I picked up on a lot of feelings from her that 'everything turns out sh!tty in the end, so don't bother', but Shepard's trying to convince her otherwise. But then in ME3 that will have moved on to a point where she's convinced its too good to last, she's bound to screw up somehow, or Shepard's just stringing her along.
