Probably because the entire Bioware team knows us and is unsure if we're going to praise or destroy them for what they did to her.  :P

To be honest, we can't really fault them for that. If Jack's new look got released right now, it'd get utterly destroyed and nitpicked by the entire community.

If they wait until a marketing push, the community at large will have something else occupying them, while Jackolytes can fawn and drool all they want.

I'm sure they'll still hate each other. In fact, I would cheer it on since I hope Jack "accidentally" critically injures Miranda and I won't have to see the former Ceberus cheerleader's buttshots anymore. Posted Image

FWIW Miranda is high on my list of squadmates I want back. Other than the fact that I could "connect" to Jack on a friendly/romantic level moreso than Miri, I do like her for very much the same reasons. Strong, fiercely independent woman who makes no apologies for being who she is (unsurpising that the two of them quickly had a problem with each other).

Just hope she can wear something nice this time. :?

She should be naked next time, everyone should be naked. People want the love boat SR-2, might as well have a nudist colony while we're at it.

That's a defense mechanism. Not really healthy in my opinion.

LOL out of all the things that are unhealthy about Jack, you had to pick the most harmless one. I mean, this is Jack we're talking about. I think the proper question is, what COULD be healthy about her given everything she went through?

I still think she's awesome.

Jack is indeed awesome. I hope she hasn't softened up too much in the time between Arrival and ME3.

Well, well. I guess that's what many Miranda fans have in common with Jack fans: they don't want their favorite to soften up too much and her original character concept compromised. Apart from a few gushers, that is.

I just replayed a few scenes with Jack and her VA is really impressive. From an in-world perspective I still think my Shepard wouldn't have brought her on the mission, but I must admit that that would've been a mistake in hindsight. I'm curious how the "relationship" between her and Miranda will develop in ME3. Likely Jack will still hate Miranda - they're just too different in personality to get along well - but I can also see some mutual respect forming.

BTW, do any of you Jack fans ever encourage her to kill Aresh? I've always considered that to be a particularly evil choice, chaining Jack more to her past than letting her distance herself from it.

No, my Renegade Shepard is a ****, but I ignore the Renegade interrupt and Jack decides on her own that she won't kill Aresh. I think that's an interesting moment in my Renegade playthrough.
Aresh is no Balak or Vido, so I don't feel it's necessary to kill him. But I could be wrong.

I hope there are some Jack-Miranda moments. I think the two of them are always very entertaining. I always laugh how Jack says : "You die first." ;D

Maybe it will be a factor how you made some choices. My Paragon is a Sole Survivor, so I don't make the loyality mission for Miranda and he is completly on Jack's side in the little confrontation. So it would be interesting, if they really hate each other in ME3.
On the other hand my Renegade was the more diplomatic Shepard (kind of wierd I know), so maybe they have a more friendlier relationship in this playthrough.

Just a random question that popped into my head, what do you guys think is Jacks real hair color? I mean, depending on the lighting in ME2 she could be anything from a brunette to a flaming red ginger. And now that shes going to have long(er) hair in ME3...... *scratches chin*

Pretty sure its brown. Her eyebrows are brown. Typically people with red hair are going to have red-ish eyebrows right?

I don't know many redheads, though I think I've seen natural redheads with dark-ish eyebrows. Same with blondes.

How Jack's relationship with Miranda develops going forward depends on what the writers do with Miranda's character, so far everything points to Miranda distancing herself from Cerberus which I think will make a huge difference with Jack. But I know some including yourself Ieldra would prefer Miranda remain loyal/involved with Cerberus, it doesn't appear that that's how it will play out. But if Miranda is still associated with Cerberus half way through ME3, I would be very interested to see how an unloyal Jack deals with that, however unlikely the situaton may be.

About Aresh, a few months ago a forum member mentioned the possibility of him surviving, citing Rana Thanotis as being in a similiar situation an yet miraculously getting out alive. It makes you wonder what kind of trouble he might get into, being insane and all, and it seems that he wouldn't have a problem harming others(ie. other kids). When the choice becomes Jack's well being vs. the well being of others, its not so easy of a decision any more. But Aresh doesn't appear to have the intelligence to get his plans up and running, and it doesn't appear that Aresh shares Rana's will to live, so I guess there's nothing to worry about.

I mainly spare him though, occasionally I kill him just to see how it changes things if at all in ME3 or for the lulz in my evil renegade playthrough.

Oh, I'm quite OK with Miranda distancing herself from Cerberus. I only want her to remain mostly pragmatic, and when Cerberus is destroyed, create an STG-like organization from what remains. BTW I don't think Jack would like that, she'd think it was the same thing under a new name.

If it weren't for Jack, Aresh would've been lying in a pool of blood. As peaceful as my Shep tends to be, I'm absolutely brutal when anyone has a gun pointed my way, even if just a harmless civilian. Aresh ordered his mercs to kill me, so he'd certainly incur my wrath.

On top of that, he's too mentally unstable and messed up to let go freely. He looks like a guy who'd prey on little boys. Next to him, Jack seems pretty downright sane. But, it was for Jack, so I had to let him go.

If I had it my way it'd go like...

Shepard: You have to let it go, Jack. Your past doesn't have to control you.
Jack: ... Fvck!! Just, go!
*Aresh begins to run, Shepard angles pistol at him and shoots Aresh dead without so much as a look*
Jack: What the? But you just said - !
Shepard: I know, but I couldn't let you do it. I have my reasons, you had yours. You did the right thing, I just did what had to be done. C'mon, we've got a bomb to set. =]

Im hoping that Jack joins the squad in ME3. She could focus on damage while Liara focus on CC.
Something like Vega and Ash.

Wanted to work on Jack's Back tattoos.

The broken lines in the Omega symbol are done on purpose , its supposed to be the Shoulder blades acting on the ink; I tried to be overly clever and add a lot of muscle group to the landscape. But i ended up removing a lot of details,
both in the Tats & the structure , because of the mess it created.

Alot of it seems awkward in proportion , the head , arms and fists. Not sure if its a trick of the eye because of the etching i tried to integrate.

I'll be making extra efforts in that regards in future endeavours.

Songs i listen to when working with Jack : Ramones - I wanna be sedated , Rancid - Ruby Soho

My misunderstanding, and the bolded part is very true. It would be interesting to see Jack's reaction, since Miranda would be done with Cerberus but still doing similar activities. Whether Jack explodes in a fit of rage or ignores Miranda's existence, either way any chance of mutual respect forming between them would likely end.

Wouldn't that just undo any good from having Jack spare Aresh, from Jack's POV it would seem hypocritical.

Grunt: Shepard, I just had the most amazing dream.

Shepard: Oh no...

Grunt: There I was, standing on top of the desecrated corpses of everyone you've ever known or loved, and...what are you guys doing?

Jack: Playing 'punch the Quarian,' Shepard was just saying how he doesn't think you can beat his high score.

Grunt: Oh, I'll show him!

Would have quoted the whole thing; HIllarious. This particular part had me get my coffee all over the place!
