Haha, yeah... I don't know what I was thinking.  I think I'm going through Jack withdrawls.

That is all.

BTW, I don't mean the clothes or style... it's the eyes and the face structure I find very similar. Do you see it too?

Yeah I'm not seeing it.

Yay! Thanks for the links. There's a criminally small amount of good fanfics on FF.net.

On another note, I was watching the Jack convo before going off to do her loyalty mission and... well it had been a while since I had seen it and just the way she said, "So that's my uplifting escape story," just gets me...

I've been thinking lately about the romance and one thing that bugs me, is the lack of acknowledgement from the crew, especially going into ME3 (this can be said about any romance in particular), although the Liara comment on it was a nice touch "a chance to give Jack faith in something more than anger". Since we don't know how long Jack is staying on the Normandy or what she is going to do for most of the game, I was hoping for some comments from the crew, especially the returning ones. I know it might not be that important, but it would add to the atmosphere of the ship, at least for me. Knowing Jack, she would probably have a badass entrance into the Normandy, probably without even Shepard knowing; While getting off the elevator heading towards his cabin, all he sees in front of his closed door are a pair of worn out boots, Shepard smiles to himself and prepares to head in...

ediit: probably some bad grammar, lol.  not too good with writing :P

I agree. I would like other squadmates to mention it- kind of like in DA2 (wait, I'm not finished) how your companions would have conversations with each other, about Hawke's relationship with them. If Hawke got with Merril or Anders, Isabella and Fenris would have a fling.

Not that romance needs to take up some huge part of squad-banter, but it would go some distance in making the romances feel like they're NOT operating in a vacuum. The romances have always been like that and I think it's a shame; all romance conversations happened on the ship, and once Shepard+LI get off the ship, it's like nothing happened between them. Again, shouldn't be a constant thing, or something everyone's obsessed with or constantly mentioning, but any acknowledgement at all would serve.

Agreed, especially with the bolded.  DA series always nailed the "crew" atmosphere.

Normandy Airlock

Shepard: (kisses Jack on the cheek and gets kicked in the shin) What was that for?

Jack: (whispers in to Shepard's ear) Not in front of everyone. 'specially with your goddamn man-mountain standing right behind us.

Shepard: I don't really Jim really cares about what we do in the airlock. Knowing him his biggest concern right now is what the mess hall has for dinner.

Vega: He's right about that ma'm. Although, it's good to see the Commander happy for a change, he's been moping around his cabin since we left Earth.

Jack: Well then, I guess this should snap him out of it. (kisses Shepard, Vega chuckles and heads off to the armory)

Shepard: (breaking kiss) So I can't kiss you in the airlock, but when you do it it's fine?

Jack: (laughs) Ain't double standards a ****?

Mass Effect has always been terrible when it comes to unique dialogue for significant events, whether they be romantic or plot-related. After Virmire, only two of your squaddies had anything to say about it, and only one of them related to the VD. After the SM, they comment on your decision to keep or destroy the base, but there's nothing about those who died or, hell, acknowledgement that everyone got out alive...and after that they get hit upside the head with laser-guided amnesia and forget that they've completed the SM already.

Just gonna leave this (leaked) convo here (highlight to read due to popular request):
"Ma'am, how many tattoos do you have, anyway?"
"Hell if I know, Prangley. I was gonna burn off the N7 I got on my ass...
...but maybe I'll hang on to it for a while."

Really made my day.

This also made my morning a little better, but yeah, put it in the grey text, not everyone wants to read Jack spoilers even if I do.

I see it as her being sarcastic, more of making fun of Shepard.  Oh how I picture her saying that, lmao.

It's definately serious. There's also a very similar line of dialogue, but responding directly to Shepard. This one seems to be banter dialogue depending on the outcome of when-Jack-meets-Shep-again dialogue choices made earlier.

I know it was a spoiler, but I felt it was small enough (and nice enough) to share. I'm flattered that my Shep was a good enough friend/LI to Jack to have her get that tat in the first place.

After seeing Ashley's new face in the beta (and I understand it's just a beta, but bear with me), I really hope they don't mess up Jack's face. Again, I'm not dissing on Ashely's face, she's very pretty, but I saw a recent beta screenshot and it looked off, if that's the right way to put it (it's probably somewhere in the "Why does Ash look so different thread"). So I'm hoping that they stay true to her look because it did really help define her as a character; scar on the lip, those eyes, etc.  Her look was probably the most expressive in game as well, so I hope they don't stray away from that because of the addition of hair.  They did wonders with Jack's face in ME2:

They have to try really hard to mess up that face, lol.

I'm a Miranda freak, 100%

But Jack's romance scene at Shepard's quarters is probably one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever had the pleasure of seeing in a videogame.

So Eff Yeah to Ms. Nought in Mass Effect 3 !

Not only the romance, I love how they use the "camera" in some of the build up scenes for Jack.
One of my favourite scenes: Murtock talk

How can you mess up such a gorgeous face? Give her a visor. (This was my mimi about the alternate appearance pack.) ^^

But I... I like the visor (I only wish it was toggled off for cutscenes).

Death is easy, fvckin' on/off switch ... everytime I hear that line I get goosebumps, the delivery is fantastic.

The visor is a really, really great Sci-Fi design, even as simple looking as it is, besides, it reminds me of The Mutants in The Dark Knight Returns, and that is always awesome.

But it truly hampers the conversations and cutscenes.

"But this, this just burrows in. Like those husks, you're left with nothing inside. I'm supposed to take that and say 'Thanks, dead guy'?"

That's my favorite from that scene.

EDIT: not to start a flurry of posts or anything, (^_-) but it has come to my attention that we have nearly reached the 100 page threshold for this fan thread.

Just an observation. I was just a bit curious if six or seven other people had also noticed and might let me know in a post?

I love visors, but hiding Jack's gorgeous eyes is a crime.
Toggle off in cutscenes would be a perfect solution.

Page 100 party inc, better make some screenshots ready.

[edit] oh **** :P
