Yes, there is. And yes, it is thankfully locked by now.

Glad to see the anti-joker-tread gone, of course you don't have to have romances in your game. Just don't flirt with people and you should be ok. And other people might want to have different LI:s from the ones you would prefer. Live and let live.

@ Eliantariel. Yess.. I would really like to be able to talk to Joker at someplace different than the cockpit for once. Great idea =) the new Normandy is supposed to have a few new rooms. My Shep would love to go and check them out with Joker. Just to see what's different... promise =)

I'd be totally heartbroken if Joker wasn't a LI, but this thread keeps my hopes high.
I'm wondering about new rooms on Normandy, that can be interesting. As much as I loved Captain's cabin in ME2, there wasn't much to do in there, to be honest. But it was still nice to have some personal space that we could decorate

@ paterik I got the CE so at least I'll have a mech-dog for company. Have they said anything about what you can get for your Shep. I really liked the fishes and my little hamster... hope that they are still ok..

@ Starzie =) I'm also playing a Shep for Joker right now. Just did Noveria a little time ago. Forgot that it's easier when you don't do it first, then you can just get the computer started again using 100 medigels.... oh well... there's always youtube

Gonna hit a nice Joker fan-fic. Before me finding Joker I never read fan-fiction but now I find them really fun. Wish I could write as well, good thing that there are so many talented people out there =)

Hell, Shep should have to work to convince him of her seriousness if she's already been banging Kaidan/Liara/Thane/Jacob/Garrus/Kelly some combination of the above! I'd like that, if he wouldn't believe you mean it and aren't just in a weird mood/screwing with his head unless you choose the right words.

Yeah.
I don't see him as the type to put himself out there so he can get
rejected if he is unsure Shep's interested in him. (I have this picture

If he ever did say something, it would have to be in the context of a joke. Like, if Shepard was complaining about how her romances always go down the drain, and he replied with, "that's because in the back of your mind, you keep comparing everyone you date to the awesome creature that is me. It's not fair to normal people, they just can't compete." It would be a perfect opening for Shepard to hint in the direction of actually agreeing with that statement in a way.

(Hell, it could even trigger the "do you want to romance him or not" fork in the pathway when Shepard suddenly realizes him dating sucks.) But I want to see him in a romance with Shepard. I've been wanting it for years. He's just so much more interesting than most of the other romance characters. We've never seen his like and won't again. He's just Joker. I like him the best.

P.S. The joke was old years ago, and I know we've had it in signatures before, but just in case it will someday make a difference, anyone who likes is welcome to swipe my sig pic. Or this one:

Oh, this. Please. I can imagine this perfectly. Shepard could tease him back. Say something of the lines that maybe he's right. The look I imagine on joker's face afterward would make me kill over in laughter.

"Wait, what? Really?" He'd have that sort of googly eyed shocked-hopeful look for a split second, before clearing his throat, and going "Good one, Commander." And then she'd give him a look, and walk away. And then he'd turn to EDI.

"Do you think-"

Joker and Shepard purely platonic? Eh...I can kinda see that, but there is just too much chemistry to overlook. Varric and Hawke now, they are a good definition of a platonic relationship. But if BioWare decided on a Varric romance in DA3, I wouldn't complain. XP

I read through that thread and had to laugh. Who do you think Bioware is more likely to listen to? The ones screaming they're going to kill someone if their game is "perverted", or the ones quietly minding their own business and hoping for something in a clearly titled thread?

Frankly, I just let it go with the shake of a head and an amused chuckle. They're entitled to their opinion, of course, but I'm confident in Bioware delivering an awesome game, regardless of the LI-options. (Though I think I speak for most of the Jokermance fans, that we'll all be sad if there isn't any. It certainly won't make me rage!quit though.)

This, exactly.

I just read through that thread and all I could laugh, they all seemed so angry that there was romance in their bioware game that has had romance throughout the entire series, and not only that, but with someone that has been there since the begining. While I wasn't getting all oogly-eye'd about Garrus doesn't mean I got angry that he was in there and a possible LI, I just played through it without initiating the romance and stayed best friends with him. I don't understand how people get so worked up about little things like that, and I probably never will.

And yes, I would be sad if Joker wasn't a LI in ME3 but that in no way would make me stop playing it right then and there, (Specially since I just ordered the Collectors Edition as an early/late Christmas present to myself like I did with DA2 XD). Chris and Casey have definitely gotten my hopes up though, as has Seth a bit from that one particular tweet.
