When he answers the Joker/Computer question, he sounds positive/relaxed. When he non-answers the Joker/Shepard question, he sounds tense/evasive. I guess that's because they've decided what to do about the latter and not the former?Elanor1 wrote...

And now, onto the Shoker question!
David: I love Joker's close relationship with Shepard in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. Any chance they'll be getting closer than friends in Mass Effect 3?
Mike: (pause) Hmm...
David: I'm feeling "non-answer," here.
Mike: No, I thi- this is gonna be a "non-answer" moment here, so... yeah, no you're gonna have to see what happens in Mass Effect 3.
Sure they do, unfortunately. Knowing beforehand ruins the experience of the game if it's supposed to be a surprise that you can end up with them, if it's not in then they might lose sales and break hearts when it's already too late, there might be a s***storm on the forums that they're not prepared to do anything about and will not be constructive in any way... there are a number of potential reasons.Offcast wrote...
It seems to me like if there wasn't any Shoker romance they don't have any reasons to refuse the question about that.
Me, too. I'm not happy that Joker/Computer seems to be a go. It just makes me think, who are these people who want this? Those sad robot girlfriend guys afraid of human connection? Halo fans who are obsessed with Master Chief/Cortana and can't separate Mass Effect from Halo in their heads? I guess that's uncharitable of me, but I can't understand it. Even if I didn't want him with Shepard, the thought would nauseate me beyond words. AI/human stuff just--it's creepy to me. So much so.RhiPanda wrote...
Ah just watched it now, if they make an EDI/Joker romance they will have hell to pay ¬_¬
His answer to that question kinda made me really worried
*yawn* This comment again? Romance is in. Old and new characters will be romanceable. That is not up for discussion, it is a confirmed feature, so I feel pretty justified in requesting that you just deal with it already. Or at the very least, go talk about it somewhere that your dislike of romance? Is actually relevant. Like, say, not a romance thread for a specific character.Tup3xi wrote...
I hope they don't add Joker romance or more romances in general. Mass Effect is not a dating simulator.

Anyone else wish ALL games had romances(Im looking at you fallout and TES)
Anyway, i'll end up fracturing MY thumb on the skip scene button if they even THINK of going thereKeep it as a mothering relationship, Joker deserves more than a blue fricking orb or a virtual body.

Will it help to notice that he has a big ear-to-ear grin immediately after he non-answers the Jokermance question?Wynne wrote...

*hastily grasps at the rapidly falling straws*
And the more the Torsk thought of what vague answers bring, the more the Torsk thought, "I must cease this whole thing! For almost three months I have pondered this, now; I must stop myself from over-analyzing... but how?"
And he puzzled and puzzled 'til his puzzler was sore. Then the Torsk, once again, kicked open his door.
*end poem*
Honestly, though, I feel like a worm squirming as its being constantly poked... maybe I should turn my focus on more productive things? Cause I have a sinking feeling that Bioware simply isn't going to give us a conclusive answer on this until at least the final month stretch...
Edit: Okay, one final thought... was anyone around pre-ME2 for any of the now-confirmed romance hopeful threads? What were the hints/non-answers/etc Bioware was dropping? Perhaps looking back at the past can help us predict the results of the future!
...I saw that!!!
*grasps at yet another straw*
Gotcha! *begins eating the straw... don't ask*

They're evil. Every last one of them. They love torturing us, you can tell. I just finished watching the Q&A, and someone called them out, claiming that Jacob and Miranda were confirmed for ME3. David Silverman and the other guy (sorry, forget his name), looked at each other and said (paraphrasing):
David: I don't remember confirming that.
Dude: Neither do I. Wasn't Miranda in ME2?
David: Yeah, I think so.
Dude: *shrugs* I dunno. Next question.
David had a smirk on his face the entire time.
They are masters of evasion. We're all ninja'd on a daily basis.
I'm not really new anymore, but I'll answer anyway. x) Not at a particular moment I don't think, but from the way they interacted in Mass One. I was surprised when I found out he wasn't an LI, actually. And then it was cemented when the Normandy was destroyed, you know?Wynne wrote...
When did you folks first start to like the idea of Shepard/Joker? Any particular moment?
