I personally don't like the idea of Shepard and Joker making out, it just doesn't seem right. Joker and Shepard are friends end of. Though I quite like the idea of Joker romancing one of the crew or squad like say Kelly or Tali.

Just a suggestion.

I kind of came up with the idea since a lot of French-Canadians I know have almost no discernable accent. They start speaking French and you're like, "WOAH WTF? Where'd that come from???" Case in point: I ran a day program at my job with a bunch of Canadians, most of whom were from Montreal, and they hardly had any accent. Then they'd pick up their cell phone and start yammering away in French, it was surreal.

It also makes sense since in the Mass Effect universe, Canada and the US merged into a North American megalopolis, so accents would only become more uniform. Even Captain Anderson was born in London, but doesn't have an English accent (granted, we don't know why).

Awesome! I live just on the Ontario-Quebec border so I love the idea of Joker being Quebecois. Sexy, scruffy, cocky, half French pilot? Yes please.

@ Sky, I have a couple of friends who do that sort of thing. Both have one French parent and one English parent and they switch between fluent French and fluent English while having conversations with each other. In the middle of a sentence.

Maybe he said that they were after the Reapers as well, and took Shepard's warnings seriously. That would have gotten Joker's butt in gear.

Or it could be that Joker was with Cerberus all along. TIM could have noticed that Joker pushed himself above everyone else. I believe TIM is a sort of human collector - whoever is the best, TIM wants for his cause.

I can't wait for the trial, personally.

Whoops, haven't been on here in a week or so. But Angry Joker...this is something I think I would like. I'd enjoy watching him yell at the Council...ooo, at Udina!

And I agree with TIM being a "collector". A collector of the best human specimens he can find. Kinda like the actual Collectors. Blehhh. <_<

Woah! TIM as Collector?! No wonder he had all the info on the coolest people in the galaxy and where to find them. Get em all together in one place. He better not hurt one goddam hair on Joker's head by gosh or Aldyth Shephard will be laying the hurt down.
Also interesting to hear about the different BW writers. Do we have a place on the OP for who writes Joker's lines and story arcs?

I believe that I have read your fic. I have been reading a lot of Joker fan fics lately, and that sounds familiar. I for sure have been reading Tiger By My Side!! Awesome just awesome!

Anyways, I am new here, and plan to stay. I have the above mentioned fan fics to thank for me suddenly coming around to the idea of Shep/Joker romance. I never really thought about it before. It slightly crossed my mind when Shepard was spaced and Joker yelled for her...but that was probably nothing. I was curious so I read one fan fic, and then another, and another, ect. Now I am huge fan!!

You guys have my support for sure. I really am hoping they give us what we want! They gave a lot of people what they wanted in the 2nd game, so let's hope they can repeat that favor!

Haha, I may not be able to. I took only two years of French. XD But I've always been facinated with accent differences depending on region.

Shepard died honorably saving someone. I would do it again (and I have...several times for a few playthroughs XD). I see nothing wrong with that. They're also pissed Joker didn't thank you, AND because he said "I'm not losing another Normandy" while you're on the Collector Ship running like hell.

I'm thinking: People, grow up. So what if he doesn't thank you? He's obviously THRILLED you're back - and Joker probably doesn't want to bring up that tragic day up front...or probably ever again because it hurt him and a dozen other people that you died. Not everything revolves around Shepard, there are other people's feelings involved.

Which is why I love BioWare. They make you think how other people would react, and why. Sure, I was a little hurt at Joker's remark about losing another Normandy, but I started thinking. He told me to watch my back and he ran a search on the Collector Ship because he thought something was fishy. By keeping me on my toes, he kinda saved my ass. And the attack on the original Normandy is what lead up to Shepard's death and "rebirth". So, it's all connected.
