Erm, not really trying to put you on the spot or anything, but Joker + Normandy - Shepard = a fancy version of the "Critical Mission Failure" screen. Sorry Max, but the Mass Effect galaxy is going to need Shepard. Ships can be rebuilt. People on the other hand- wait, frak... well, I highly doubt the Alliance would shill out the 4 billion creds required to re-rebuild Shepard.

Let's hope Cerberus made up an instruction manual. Shep's basically a cyborg now - for all we know, if she broke, we can just snap the pieces back together like legos or a GI Joe doll. XD

The whole thing about Joker betraying Shepard is bull. I mean, come on... The entire galaxy is at war and every life is at stake. Pretty bad move to be all like "YE, I'mma gunna bertay you know to get rid of this sickness for 5 hours >:3"
Even if the reapers would be all like "Dude, we'll let you live if you help us c:"
Joker was there (well, flying around, but, yeah,) when all that stuff with Saren happened. He knows how it all ended.

Pretty damn much. Joker's smart, he wouldn't fall for that crap unless he was under some serious indoctrination. Then my Shepard would just lock him in a sleeper pod until she found a cure. :3

He wouldn't even have a body if it wasn't for Shepard. Besides, he and Shepard are buddies, they'd never betray each other.

Because you know how Joker talks constantly about how he wished he didn't have Vrolik's syndrome and would do ANYTHING to be healthy.  It's obviously the only thing that matters to him.  He's kind of like Anders and mage freedom.  Honestly, I think anyone who seriously believes that has a troubling opinion of people with physical disabilities.

And no, he wouldn't do it for a "new" ship.  I can imagine him betraying Shepard to save the Normandy, however.  The Normandy is his responsibility, and losing it must have been a tremendous blow to his professional pride, which is key to his sense of self-worth.  But really, shouldn't he value the Normandy ahead of Shepard?  There are a lot of people on the Normandy--why are their lives so much less important than Shepard's?  Oh, yeah, he's the great hero, the only person in the galaxy who can save humanity from the Reapers.

Yeah, of course he doesn't want Vrolik's Syndrome. Who would? But he's not the type of character to betray someone to a race that can kill everyone just so he won't have it anymore. And I find the "troubling opinion" comment to be incredibly offensive. My brother has physical and mental disabilities, and I understand what people with his disabilities go through. But would people really do something so horrible just for that?

I think you misunderstood me. I was being sarcastic about Joker being obsessed with curing his Vrolik's syndrome. What I find troubling is the suggestion that Joker would would sacrifice someone as important to him as Shepard to improve his own quality of life.  There's nothing in the game to suggest such extreme selfishness on his part, so I suspect somebody who believes that has a disturbing view of disabled people in general.

Oh. Sorry! You know how sometimes sarcasm doesn't transfer over the internet well.

Hey... I guessed I'm not welcome here anymore, but I would just like to say 1 thing before I get boo'd off. I had a read of what I said yesterday. I felt guilty. I would just like to say I'm sorry for what I said and am truly sorry if it offended anyore.

I know this probably sounds hollow, but I'm hoping that people affected can forget and forgive. I understand if you hold a grudge, and I won't pester anyone here anymore.

Next time I'm in a pub, I'll make a toast to Joker. Probably won't know what I'm talking about anyways.

Indeed. I don't really know him too well, so why I made comments like that is beyond me. I'm going to play through again, but, this time, I'll get to know him a little more, before I make judgement.

It's not so much the fact that you insulted Joker that made everyone angry. It was the fact that those insults could be applied to real life people with disabilities (like my husband who actually has Vrolik's(OI))

Hey everyone I've been lurking this thread probably since there was about 80 pages here I've just been to shy to actually make an account and say hi >.< I just want to say that at the beginning I never thought about a Joker/Shep. romance before and I thought to myself, 'They're friends, I don't think a romance would work ' but you guys have convinced me and I fully support -waves Joker/Shep. romance flag-

@Namira - Maybe he changed his mind after seeing how much for a Joker/Shep. romance has, and maybe EDI will tease Joker about him and Shepard? :S We can still hope!
