No. I think he never even mentioned her in ME1 and in ME2 he has a comment on every squadmate after the recruiting/loyality mission. Only because he likes her and talkes not bad about her does not mean that he has a crush on her. I am sure he would say the same about Chakwas or other crewmates and why should he not like the people? I think he likes Kasumi as well, so no, I don't think Tali is special for him. But I think he is maybe glad that there are with Tali and Garrus some people on board which are loyal to Shepard and which he know from the past.

Hmmm... has anyone heard anything about the FemShep-trailer? Hoping that there will be something Joker in it, or maybe just a line. "Patching the call through". Something, anything =) I'm not picky.

Hmmm.... I'm not so concerned with the movie =) I only play FemShep so somehow BroShep would feel a little off for me. But it doesn't bother me that they are making one. As long as it doesn't affect my game then it doesn't concern me. Who know, maybe some ME-fan is really happy for it? But for me ME is about actively playing the game. I'll stay with the game and wish them good luck from a safe distance =) Then again, I don't see movies very often or anything on TV ( lvl of not watching movies very often- haven't seen Pulp Fiction yet =) )


* I might be coming round a little less often, master thesis is hitting crunch time and it's pretty much eating all my time and my will to live, lol. Just so you guys know  =) *

That's...a little extreme.
I'd just use my time machine and force the writers to make Joker a love interest. And tell Seth Green to only accept the job if he was allowed to be an LI.
That way innocent bunny babies don't die. Plus, it's kind of easier than you risking templars finding you.

PLEASE let it be worth it BioWare! <- Do you know how long it took me to find this smilie? Far too long. I hate it when they blend into the other emotes.

It's still hard for me to bypass Garr-bear. Moving in on him is like clock-work, and the romance still makes me squee. But I have a Joker hopeful and three others ready for anything. (ZAEEEEEED )

Yes! I kinad thought that too when I first played it through. I doubt they will make anything out of it though...cause ya know... if they did...well let's just say that Bioware wouldn't be around anymore.

DeadlyHaven, I must admit, if I was on the Normandy, I would have a crush on Tali. I mean, come on, now... just offering a guy's perspective on the situation. Lol
When Tali goes into the airlock, I can hear Joker saying something like, "Tali, I hate to see you go... but I love watching you leave" to which she would probably respond with that death stare she so obviously gives Jacob when he tells her about EDI.
But in the actual game itself, no... I can't really see Joker having a crush on Tali. The only time she's ever on the bridge is when she's exiting or entering the ship (and I think once she was on it before the Ilos drop). If you ask me, I think she has a crush on the drive core (If a random Talimancer appears, you did NOT hear that from me) and, of course, Maleshep.

Anyway, I'm now at the point of the game with Diana where I'm stuck with the "no new dialogue" loop with Joker (and it's only just after Horizon). Y'know, where he's always fracturing his thumb on the mute? Lol
Let's hope he retains that perspective for Mass Effect 3. If my Femshep is going to have to compete for him with software, so help me...

I don't think joker has ever given us anything to worry about as far as actually being serious about someone. He is a man he makes comments, and usually they aren't backed with emotions. As far as the movie goes, I hate the idea. I can't imagine it being any good. But as far as seeing "somelse's Shepard" that is something I'm used to, having always watched my brother play games including ME&ME 2, as a renagade manshep as opposed to my paragon femshep.

I was actually surprised when I heard that dialogue with him. It's true that he never said anything about any of the squaddies in ME1, but I thought he would either not know them very well or not care all that much.

I think it's a possibility. I even considered it when the discussion about "who could Joker fit with if not with Shepard" came up. Of course, if he does end up being an LI, and it's a playthrough where Shepard does romance him, this is a moot point. But if it's a playthrough where Shepard has another LI, why not? Having a crush is distinctly different from being in love, and I don't think Joker would ever try making a move on Tali even if he did have serious views on her. It's probably difficult enough for him to muster the nerve to hit on a human woman.

It all boils down to the old "well, if you're not romancing that particular LI, why can't they do their own thing?" For example, I really appreciated the fact that Isabela and Fenris hooked up in DA2 if you romance neither of them. Whyever not?

As for his comments about Garrus and Morinth, he clearly finds Morinth (or rather, asari in general, I guess, since, when he makes that comment, he has never met Morinth) sexy, but that's hardly groundbreaking or difficult to believe. I'm not sure he's all that fond of Garrus, even in a friendly way: he seemed to think he was stuck up in ME1 and too much of a loose cannon in ME2. The "always my favourite" comment is clearly sarcastic, to me.

Even if I wasn't romancing Joker (highly unlikely =P) I would be sad if he got with someone else, like I was in DA2 with Fenris and Isabela, I heard their conversation and was like Whaaaaa!?

In the Joker romance who dya think would make the first move? Shep or Joker?
I think(hope) that Joker could kinda slip up and say something that would betray the fact that he has a thing for Shep

Maybe it could like the Leliana hair dialogue. She compliments the warden and the you have a choice of pursuing the romance, shutting her down or playing the friendship card. Like the Garrus romance trigger I suppose but less hamfisted.

Perhaps EDI can hint at something in retaliation to Joker's teasing and the PC can follow it up or ignore it.

No you are not embarrassing yourself. Geek phandom has inspired so much weirdness. The only thing I find disturbing now is that people are begging for a Legion romance, but I never say anything because part of me knows I would look up the clip on youtube if it existed anyways.  
Thats why we are all here because we all posses a unique brand of awesomeness that is geek-dom. We shall conquer the world with our desire to make sweet monkey love in the far stretches of the galaxy. We shall shift the balance and shock the world with disturbing alien fetishes and fugly custom made Shepards!!
