Even if I wasn't romancing Joker (highly unlikely =P) I would be sad if he got with someone else, like I was in DA2 with Fenris and Isabela, I heard their conversation and was like Whaaaaa!?

I really don't mind. Pining after someone you can't have isn't healthy, so it's pretty reassuring and refreshing to see that characters you're not romancing are having a life of their own. If they're characters I like, I'd rather have them happy than lovelorn.

In the Joker romance who dya think would make the first move? Shep or Joker?
I think(hope) that Joker could kinda slip up and say something that would betray the fact that he has a thing for Shep ^_^

First actual move? Definitely Shepard. Joker seems to be the shy type who deflects serious conversation with humour, and I doubt he's very confident when it comes to putting on the moves.

But if that first move stemmed from Joker slipping up and saying something suggestive (kinda like Kaidan's comment on the Citadel at the beginning of ME1), I'd love to see that.

Throwaway example using an ME2 situation: Say Shepard just returned from Samara's LM (having done Kasumi's LM earlier on), and they're discussing how she got Morinth's attention at the bar.

Joker: You know, Commander, you could've had an easier time if you wore that outfit Kasumi gave you for her party heist thing. Probably wouldn't have had to bother with the undercover journalists and stuff.

Shepard: Maybe, but it's kinda hard to be convincing as a battle-hardened veteran in a short dress and high heels.

Joker: Honestly, you wouldn't have had any kind of convincing to do.

Shepard: Joker?

Joker: I'm just saying it's a, uh...very...persuasive dress. Ahem. Um...damn, I think there's something wrong with the uh...trash compactor...on the lower deck. Yeah. Better check on that. *under his breath* EDI, gimme a hand here, pleasepleasepl--

EDI: Preliminary diagnostics indicate no malfunction with the ship's refuse disposal systems. I believe you are mistaken, Jeff.

Joker: *under his breath again* Dammit. *out loud* Oh, ok. Guess I must've looked up the wrong readings or something. Funny how that happens sometimes.

Shepard *with a chuckle*: Sure is. *steps over and leans against the control console* So what was it about that dress...Jeff?

In that case, if we were to go back and sway Bioware into accepting a Jokermance, we would have to wait for ME3 all over again! Phantom, I am so glad I'm not the only one who likes Zaeed that way.
...right? I'm not embarrassing myself, am I?

No you are not embarrassing yourself. Geek phandom has inspired so much weirdness. The only thing I find disturbing now is that people are begging for a Legion romance, but I never say anything because part of me knows I would look up the clip on youtube if it existed anyways.

BOOYAH! XD

You're not embarrassing yourself. I <3 Zaeed and all his badassery. An actual romance with him is unlikely, but hey, I can hope!

Legion romance? I have to admit, I would look up the YouTube video too just because I would be so curious as to HOW it would work...

Shepard: Legion. Do you have a vibrator function?
Legion: Negative. However, we do possess the slow clap processor.
Shepard: The...what?
Legion: *clap*...*clap*...*clap*
Shepard: TAKE ME NOW LEGION.
Me: Posted Image

But never...never...ever...would I look up the video of a Joker/EDI romance. My poor laptop would be in danger of being thrown out the window.

Vrolik Syndrome, dude. He talks about it in ME1.

Yep, it isn't a secret. Vrolik Syndrome gives the aflicted very brittle bones, making them easily broken. This is why Joker can walk in ME2, but he has to do so slowly as it hurts and he's at great risk. It is also why Shepard carries him to the escape pod, as they didn't have time to wait for him to walk there under his own power.

Bioware perspective on Joker! :o Okay, so maybe Cerberus didn't upgrade him... but we know he can do stuff, so it's all good! Lol

Oh, don't tell me I and my future wife will become a**holes or something!
Or wait, it's my kids, isn't it? Something has to be done about my kids!

Also, I'm with you on the whole "not watching a Joker/EDI romance on my computer." I don't want to Chuck Norris kick my brand new HD computer monitor...

Edit: INSPIRATION TIME! (Phantom, you always seem to have this effect on me! Lol) :P

*Earth. Femshep has just defeated the Reapers. There is much rejoicing. She leans in towards Joker for a celebratory kiss. Suddenly, bright lights and loud noises flash near; a futuristic hover car appears next to them. A matriarchal Liara exits the vehicle*

Liara: Shepard! Come with me, we have to go back!
Shepard: Wait, Liara? Is that you? Back where?
Liara: (lifting her shades) Back to the future! Come on!
Shepard: But Liara, this is a very bad time. We just defeated the Reapers, Joker and I were about to-
Liara: Bring him along. This concerns both of you!
Shepard: Wait, wait, Liara, what do you mean? What happens to us in the future? What, do we become a**holes or something?
Liara: (thinking) Oh no, no you and Jeff turn out fine! It's your descendants, Shepard! Something has to be done about them!
Shepard:
Present Liara: Hold on just a minute! (Future Liara turns toward her; Present Liara stares at her chest) A-are those... mine!?
Future Liara: No, they're mine. They will be yours, though!
Present Liara: B-but, how?
Future Liara: It runs in the family, doesn't it? Give yourself 700 more years, they'll come around on their own.
(everyone enters the time vehicle; it raises up and disappears in a flash)

TO BE CONTINUED... in Mass Effect 4!

Because if we go to the future to see, I will tell everyone on the forums, making our waiting more painful.
Plus, if we go back and tell everyone and on the off chance that all of Joker's haters and anti-romancers unite and get Bioware not to have the romance, it will be all our fault!
Plus, what if we make an even bigger time paradox? It's risky going back. Imagine what would happen if we ran into our future selves?
The ones who didn't know about the romance? We would either end the universe or simply faint, causing an enemy to steal the time machine and change the past. And what if a Joker hater got the time machine?
He could go back and have Seth Green not get hired, Joker to be written out, and we would have never met, causing us to have a paradox and possibly deleting ourselves from our personal timeline. And then we would never meet anyone in this thread, never have gone to the future, AND NEVER KNOW WHO JOKER WAS.

And I positively enjoy gummi worms.

I'm sure this is a classic John Connor Paradox.

We will always go back in time because we had to go back in time for the first incident to happen.

Terry Pratchett said it best- “It is very easy to get ridiculously confused about the tenses of time travel, but most things can be resolved by a sufficiently large ego.”

Exactly! And it will destroy the world!

I've tried reading Pratchett, but then I lost the book.

Oh hey, guys.

Uh, yeah. I've been lurking in this thread for a long time, cause, well. I'm a Joker fangirl too! Since I've been lurking around here to the point of creepyness, I thought I should at least post to say that I love your conversations  You guys make my day all the time.
So, you think you have a free spot for another Jokershipper? ='D Cause I'd sure love to join you lovely people.

Oh, and here. An offering for the Joker thread! My first fanart of the best pilot in the galaxy (and Femshep).

I understand that the hair can cause issues with the armor, but that doesn't mean that shepard is required to look as though her/(his?) hair is of plastic/play-dough(that is how it looks to me personally). It can't move at all really? There are older and crappier games where the moves, or at least more piece-y as opposed one solid chunk of hair.

I really hope the hair from your pic or something like it shows up in game sokkenn! If I had to lob off my inordinately long hair and have a short hair cut, that is one I have always wanted.

From what I've heard through the grapevine, the old engine they used wasn't capable of doing flowy hair. Now, with the new engine they used to make ME2 for the PS3, I think they can. Whether they will is up to them.

Welcome sokkenn! Never too many people in this thread!

I hope so. I almost wanted Shepard to take off her hair, scratch her head, and put it back on and do that wig wiggle to align it correctly or even have someone at one point tell her her hair is crooked. How else is someone supposed scratch an itch if their hair is a solid piece of plastic?

As for how Joker would do things I have no clue but it would be awesome. I think he would most likely destroy the collector base though. They broke his ship he would break theirs!

Yay! New people =) welcome. The more the merrier!

And a big yes to good hair in ME3, but it sounds like they will do better in the new game. Or at least want to do better in the new game. Hmmm.... speaking of hair I would really like to see Joker without his cap. Hoping for scruffy hair =)
