I think EDI is very intelligent and a great character and is developing facets of a personality. I wouldn't unduly anthropomorphise EDI though. :> I don't believe she's capable of feeling emotions -- simply collating data and learning how to emulate and respond to others more efficiently and in a way that makes them feel more at ease interacting with her.

I meant merely, that like Star Trek's Data, she can have a chip installed (or software or algorithm or whatever).  The emotions would then be real to her, but able to be disconnected.  This does not mean I'm anthropromorphizing her.

I don't equate her to the Six from BSG which seemed to be an entirely organic, highly evolved machine, but more along the lines of the android from Star Trek.  I believe those who want the "romance" are envisioning Six, not Data (who is fully functional and anatomically correct but can't really love).  And even the Cylons were uncertain if they could love as well.  

Therefore, Joker needs a living, organic gf/bf.

Like... Joker & Rachel.  They've waited a very, very long time.

I dunno, I may be in the minority in my belief that EDI is going to go completely Dalek on us in ME3.

I personally love what Hepler did with Anders in DA2 and I hope she continues to deliver more of the same in DA3.

As for Joker/EDI, I am fine with any kind of bizarre relationship Bioware wants to give them as long as Shepard gets first dibs.

Damn you Hepler!!! My theory: Hepler got high while writing the script for the dwarves and such in DA:O, but when DA:II began getting written, her crack was confiscated, thus, greatly decreasing her writing skills. This is how the tragedy of Anders and Sebastian occurred. You see, if you think about it, it all makes sense.

Don't worry people! Hopefully Hepler will get her crack back in time for DA:III. Plus, she doesn't work on ME, and if Bioware is smart, she never will!
