Ohhh... I would have loved to see that scene,     =)    Jupp. The LI should really have some type of reaction. Garrus watching in the Shadows, Thane also I guess. Wonder what Tali would have done. Joker, sitting in the bar and keeping a eye on Shepard. Relaying info to Samara outside perhaps.

That would be so great       Joker in a ATLAS. Win!!   =)     would that count as a costume for the Hallowen contest on DA? He's sort of wearing it anyways, lol.

Ohh... and pro-tip on keeping Morrigan happy in a other way than constantly trying to booze her up on wine and such. Leave her in the camp. Figured out that as long as Morrigan wasn't around to see my Warden saving every kitten in Ferelden she couldn't dissaprove    =)    If I knew I was going to do something particularly irritating,  :innocent: I left her at home. Would have loved to see her in a rivalry-romance. Drama x 10!!

Well, you *can* get a slap-kiss sequence with her if you insist that you can't let her go when she asks you to (after you hit the "Love" stage). *in Joker's voice* Very dramatic! 

As for what LIs would do on Samara's LM, Tali would probably also be relaying info to Samara on her omni-tool, same for Miranda. As for Jacob...*mind goes blank as it does every time I try to imagine Jacob doing something* Ditto on relaying info, I guess.

I think she would break the door open to Morinth's room when Shepard is there. Especially if the paragon and renegade options are greyed out and Shepard is almost getting mindraeped.

Also, Jack would cause so much trouble that Morinth wouldn't notice Shepard and invite Jack up to her room instead

LOL poor Jacob. TBH it's FemShep's VO that puts me off talking to him rather than Jacob himself. From what I've heard though he's the only person apart from DLC Liara who Shepard can open up a bit to.

I'm not a big Liara fan but that she actually asks how Shepard is doing, romance or not, in both games is a big plus in her favour.

I wonder if in a Jokermance we'd get that chance with Joker.

Hopefully, though I'd quite like Joker to open up too. He doesn't often seem to go for deep conversations with Shep unless something really tragic has occurred, like Virmire, or the crew being carried off by Collectors.

Edit: Other than Shep's VO, I don't think it helps that Jacob starts off rather passive-aggressive. But I do like that both he and Liara asks how Shep is doing. You'd think Garrus and Tali would care.

That comes as standard in any Bioware romance, the other way round is rare.

True, I suppose if he is a romance, then the dialogue will be developed for him to open up. I hope he and Shep talk about their experiences in ME1 and 2, considering how much they've been through together. And y'know, the fact that Shep died trying to save him.

Ugh, I also remember the lack of interest shown by the companions in DA. In particular, my Dalish elf having to mercy kill Tamlen when he attacks them as a shriek. The only reaction was a throwaway line by Alistair. Then I go over to LI Zevran and he's all "shall we talk about sex now?" *facepalm*

Aggressive might not have been the right word, but he didn't come across as very friendly unless you repeatedly talk to him (which I could hardly bear to do with Shep doing her take-me-now voice). For a while he's just "I don't really like talking" and "why do you want to know about me, I have nothing to say". It was nice to have a character who wasn't neck-deep in trauma, but he didn't seem to replace the angsty dialogue with anything else.

@Deadly Haven, other than Joker (I'd cry so much if anything happened to him), I'd say Wrex or Legion. Wrex because of his smart ideas for the krogan, humour and interesting conversation. And Legion because d'aww, poor little geth doesn't get any love. Not in the game, anyway. And its sometimes funny without even meaning to be.

I wanted to ask something.

A lot of you read my fic thing. I am thinking of putting it up on DeviantArt but I am also a ruthless perfectionist -- DeviantArt allows you to put up a little image representing the story and the chapter. So I am going to draw something specifically for it.

For those of you who read TBMS, have you any suggestions? A favourite scene or something you feel is representative?

Hello fellow perfectionist! I say maybe just Shep smiling down onto Joker in the cockpit. He could be glancing up staring at her. Maybe emphasize Shep's eyes somehow. It would be simple and sweet but still say something about the story in a non-obvious way.

I've been working on a series of self portraits that are relatively simplistic and in black&white but I add color to the irises and the lips. I really like the way it has been turning out for me, but that might just be because I love my eyes. They are this gorgeous shade of olive green with what looks like a ring of marigold yellow fire around my pupil.

And that might work for your fic considering that it kinda starts with Joker taking notice of Shep's eyes. But that is just my opinion and someone else probably has a much better idea than I do but why not give you as much inspiration as possible. I love your story by the way. It is very well written and I look forward to seeing whatever it is you end up drawing.

I am liking this! On a related note I recently did a piece of Joker and Bailie in grisaille -- the only thing coloured is his open eye and their (heavily desaturated) colour in their cheeks.

One part that really resonated with me in TBMS is when Joker's watching Shepard in the gym. It seemed quite grounded and real-world in a sci-fi setting. Can't tell you why, exactly, but that part of the story sticks out in my mind very prominently.

That's why I loved it when Zevran recited the poem to my Warden just because  she looked unhappy. Granted, the poem was awful, but his intentions were very sweet. And, he is one of the only party members to take interest  in the Warden's well being.

OH ZEVRAN! WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU IN DA2?!

Jacob is aggressive to Thane in his post-recruitment scene, and either passive-aggressive or incredibly tactless to Tali (his AI comment). He's also aggressive if you dump him for either Thane or Garrus (he even makes a racist comment about the latter) or press him about his past. As for him being able to tell Shepard that he loves her, from what I hear, it's more of a last-minute ploy to get into her pants...

So while I was indifferent about Jacob at first, those details make me dislike him.

Garrus and Tali do both show concern, but only about the fact that Shepard is working with Cerberus. Thane can also ask you how you are doing...but you can only answer him that everything's fine (it's a rather hilariously bad exchange too: "how are you?" "not bad, how are you?" "everything's ok, what about you?").

Do you mean the fact that he'll hit on Hawke no matter what? That's actually a bug. The lines for a romanced Zevran exist, both for a living and a dead Warden, they're just bugged for whatever reason.

But yes, I liked the "cheering up" poem too. That's certainly more than the other LIs do.

Ooh, I really liked it in ME1 when Sheps just been grounded so she's sitting against the lockers and Kaidan/Ash/Liara comes and talks and they *almost* kiss, something like that but with actual kissing XD

Jacob for me was ruined because of a his smelly attitude to thane and tali but also because the va's have flirty voices on no matter what you are talking about oh and also because of the whole 'i don't like to rush these talks line' (or something like that) I am always thinking 'dude I just want to ask you about cerberus I'm not proposing marriage here' but anyway would love to have relationships evolve more like me1 feeling natural rather than forced. I was in the kaidan thread the otherday and someone asked via tweet if li's will get jelous (like kaidan and the consort scene) and Casey said yes :-) - I would love to see jelous/possesive joker

On Jacob and Thane. It's not Thane as a person that Jacob is concerned about. He's just a military guy, even when in Cerberus he still sort of sticks to old habits. And with Tali, even on freedoms progress he's polite to her when she tells you about the mechs and such. Later after she's recruited she does tell him not to be nice, and that she would gladly give Shepard a hand in destroying Cerberus. Jacob doesn't trust Cerberus, TIM said so himself. He works for them because at the moment he sees that as the best way to deal with the reapers. And I don't think he said anything to Tali in a bad spirit. Remember Shepard didn't say anything at all about EDI, would it be better if she found out on her own later? I always felt that he was waiting for Shepard to tell Tali and then did so himself because he didn't want it to be a surprise. Anyone can choose to see it as they wish of course =)

Hmmm... a little bit of jealousy would be nice if the situation calls for it. Or just a indication of the LI being aware of things that Shepard are about to do. Like going on a date with a space sex-vampire. Little things like that =)

I like the idea of him looking into Shep's eyes.  I also love it when Bailie first puts her hand on Joker's shoulder in the cockpit.

@deadly, I was talking about me1 romances in general, sorry for the confusion! I will see if I can word it better now I am on my laptop not phone, in me1 there are several flirting/romance/getting to know you conversations where you have different choices to continue or end the romance, the fact that it is spread out over the game feels more natural to me rather than me2 style where its a case of 'im loyal now you can ask me in an awkward way to sleep with you and emotions may or may not come in to play later, which to me felt like a rushed attempt by bioware to get the romances in. Don't get me wrong I love garrus and tali etc and having the option to romance then but often I find it comes across as a spur of the moment decision by shep rather than a natural friend to flirting to lovers evolution! I use kaidan as my example simply becaus a) he has never ninjamanced me (sorry liara and ash but sometimes you girls just cant take rejection) he makes it clear from the start that he in interested in shep so I don't feel like I am pouncing on someone but that's just how I feel about it
