^ This! I don't mind Joker EDI interactions,  they make me laugh. Just no relationship. That would be so wrong and horrible.

THIS. I'm equal parts skeptical and optimistic on this one. If it's good and is a little bonus thingy, I'll have fun playing it with my sister...but if it has anything to do with the actual story, I will not be a happy fangirl. <_<

But, overall, I was hoping they'd reserve the co-op/multiplayer experimenting for DLC or another game...not THE game of the entire ME trilogy!!! I am disappoint.

I demand Jokermance as pennance for the multiplayer sin, BioWare!

Boo I am in my sad place for a few reasons multiplayer being confirmed (blegh D=) and still no Joker news, whyyy Bioware why must you be so meean *cries*.
Also finally having a job is seriously cutting into my internets time. =S

^^ I too am not happy about MP -if its a few co op missions and hasnt affected the single player game I could get on board with it but still I dont think its a good idea.

Okay, I have come up with the answer to all of our problems. No Joker news is driving us all insane.
So...
We shall all chip in and build a time machine. Then we will use it and go to March 6th 2012. We will then play the game straight through, no breaks! We must see if Joker gets to be with Shepard or not!
This is the best solution I can come up with. So someone start drawing up a schematic on how to build this thing.

Yes! I love the multiplayer in Assassin's Creed because it's not like other multiplayer's I've played. If BioWare took a leaf out of their book, and had multiplayer as a bonus AND we get to choose our own character (asari, turian, krogan, human etc.) and make up their looks, THEN I may give it a shot. But, as you said, if I have to include other players to move the story along, BioWare will be getting a Howler from me. <_<

:-D awesome sorrel! As to co op o really liked the way two worlds 2 did it - few missions which are relevant but not essencial to the main story. But I guess we will have to wait and see what they say on Wednesday.

Think we have a few events coming up though (comic cons etc) maybe we will get some joker news there!

Which characters can I play in co-op multiplayer? Can I play as Commander Shepard?

No, BioWare. NO. WTF? I'm excited about being different races, but come on! I don't want the damn multiplayer to affect MY story! I don't want other people in MY game! My Shepard. My choices. Do you know how many friends I have? Two. How many like Mass Effect? One. And she goes to school, and cannot spend HOURS playing the game like I do. I don't want to have to rely on her to get MY game done!

*runs off ranting some more so she doesn't annoy y'all too much*

From what I've been able to gather, Phantom, it will affect the game positively if you do it, and not negatively if you don't. So...basically, you have nothing to lose by not playing it, and something to gain by playing it. I think that's fair, IMO.

I can kind of see what they're going for as far as trying to give you a chance to fight as others across the galaxy are going to have to fight at the same time as Shepard. I mean, Shepard can't really single-handedly save the galaxy from the Reapers, no matter how freakin' awesome he/she is. I hope it's done well, that's all.

Anyway, I hope we get more screenies soon. I neeeeeeds a new Normandy wallpaper for my computer, and I want it to be in the Alliance colors! Joker would be fantastic.
