Oh awesome! Now I am excited about the multiplayer. Well semi... depends on how they do it. If they make it to where your friend has to be on another xbox... I will be mad! I would love to play multplayer with my husband, but we only have one xbox. lol

Edit: Top of page. Here is some Joker for your viewing pleasure. (Hope I did it right! haha)

Yeah, they're dead serious about this whole "avoiding spoilers" thing... my response: "Don't spoil me, but don't leave me hanging! We still have 5 whole months, I need something to hold me down! Images, trailers, teasers, LI info, whatever!"

I'm sick of grasping straws; I need sustenance!

Edit: And
Silent, stay strong! Lol, you have two other Shepards that are romancing Kaidan. Virmire him if it will help remove the temptation. I know that's grim, but come on! Wouldn't you like a dialogue that manifests itself if you didn't have any LI's before Joker? Just keep that in mind. Hahaha [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] And yeah, using your husband to reject him is a good strategy! As a guy, I found it very simple to be mean to Kaidan. Lol

Agree with you the council does    =)    we need something new! Nice info, VA of  Vega or FemShep-trailer or some piece of spoiler. And above all....just give us something on Joker. We are absolutely starving for info on this guy... *grumbles*

Augh... can picture it, we finally get some info and it's confirmation of EDI+Joker=romance.....That would not be a happy day. I agree with Ryzaki and the rest of you guys. Would be awesome to get Joker as a LI, but if not. Let him date someone with a pulse.

Pulse not optional!

Oy vey, they finally yielded to it...

If it wasn't for these three specific excerpts, I would be opposed to the whole thing as well:

Chris Priestly wrote...

Why did you decide not to include it as a part of the main campaign?

  • Our priority and focus with Mass Effect 3 has and always will be to deliver a complete and satisfying single player experience.
Does the addition of co-op multiplayer missions impact the scope or quality of the single-player experience?
  • No. A dedicated team from our recently formed BioWare Montreal studio has been focused on creating the multiplayer game features while the main game continued to be developed by the team in BioWare Edmonton. Both teams are integrated under the same leadership group that produced Mass Effect 1 and 2, led by Casey Hudson. BioWare remains dedicated to delivering one of the most amazing single-player campaigns gamers have ever experienced.
How did developing multiplayer impact the single player game?
  • BioWare is dedicated and focused on delivering an engaging, fun, and action-packed experience for Mass Effect 3, one that lives up the BioWare standard. To reach that level of quality, last year BioWare opened a studio in Montreal that is home to designers, programmers, engineers, and other developers. Both studios work together as partners, lead by the core Mass Effect team, unified in a single vision. Under the direction of Casey Hudson and other team veterans, both studios make contributions to both the single player and multiplayer modes in Mass Effect 3. Rest assured that no compromises were made to either of these modes in the development of Mass Effect 3.

There you have it, folks. You heard it from the man, himself. Bioware's priority is single player, a different team altogether will be developing the multiplayer mode (therefore, we weren't robbed of any programmers, writers, etc that were working on the single player mode), and no compromises were made to the single player campaign. Therefore, I'm just fine with it.

Although the entire thing makes no sense to me and, in my humble opinion, doesn't sound like a very good idea, the fact of the matter is that enough people apparently want it to be part of their Mass Effect experience. Therefore, I say let 'em have it. Besides, they have about as much right to want multiplayer as we do to want a Jokermance, right? Right? RIGHT, BIOWARE? RIGHT, CASEY? RIGHT!?!? RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!?!?!?!?!?!?!? *link*

Oh, love the comic, Sorrel!

To be quite honest, I'm excited about the prospect of multiplayer, too. At least from the information we've been given; coming from me that's kinda huge. I've always been against multiplayer in Mass Effect, because I was really worried of getting Call of Mass Duty Effect 11 or something. But so far it sounds pretty cool.

And I love that comic, Sorrel. Instant headcanon.

So long as nothing's sacrificed for it to be multi, i don't mind it being present in any game

Back on topic! Er... um....

I'm happy for him to flirt with the intercom, so long as it doesn't come between him and Shep... Image IPB Or in fact, between him and actual living beings.

Popping in to see whats going on with joker lately. I'll be on more so you might see me popping in on discussions more often. hehe. Its good to know EDI and Joker are doing voice work for the game. =D Definitely miss the hatters. Also I've created a small video for youtube about COD, but I'm wearing one of the hats in the video. I'll be uploading it this coming monday after I go back and do an edit over it. I'll keep everyone posted when I post the videos. I think the Mad hatters and the Talimancers will definitely go crazy. haha!

The video is about annoying kids who get on call of duty and well get choked by old people who go crazy and hunt them down. YEAH... you'll see. See you all sooon. =D

I knew what that referenced to as soon as I saw it! That was the only best part of the entire movie!

BTW: I just convinced a 40 year old gamer dude to buy Mass Effect. I'm thinking of going into GameStop - the one that has not hired me because I'm a chick - and yelling: "BOOYAH ****ES! A girl convinced a guy to buy one of your over-priced games! Now who has balls?!"

I'm kind of sick of being treated like a moron whenever I go to gamestop.

Like dude. I know what I want, I know how much it costs, I know what platforms it's for. Just tell me if it's actually in stock and place it on the register so I can pay for it and go.

I swear to god my GameStop employs ONLY nerd stereotypes. They are male and have nasally voices, thick glasses, pony tails, and are kind of overweight. I am waiting for them to wear digital watches and have pocket protectors. Stop staring at me like a unicorn just walked in the door and give me my game so I can leave and you can push up your taped together glasses with one finger while snorting with your mouth open.

The sad thing is most of that describes my oldest brother and my father. Not the pony tail though . . . yet.  And they both work in IT! I was born to be a nerd. But I am nerd in disguise.

Hahaha, my husband is trying to get a job at GameStop right now! Luckily he is not your typical nerdy looking gamer. Though a lot of the other employees at the two he applied for... yeah they are nerdy looking. He will stand out. Haha!:D

Whatever you do, don't try to buy GameInformer without buying the subscription... actually, y'know what, go ahead and try to buy the magazine without buying a subscription. It'll dumbfound them all! Y U NO GET SUBSCRIPTION!?!?!? Lol

Ironically, the one person who was a fan of Mass Effect was a girl working there!

Our local Gamestop guys are pretty cool, however this is Silicon Valley so our caliber of nerds are held to a higher standard! :-P
Just throwing in my support for MP since my husband and I play co-op whenever available and we both LOVE Mass Effect.

I already did that. The guy looked at me like I grew an extra head or two.

Me: ...You know what? $14.95 for the year you said? I'll take the subscription.

I need to live there, then! People down in the South look at a girl weird if she says she likes video games. I was the only girl in a room full of men when my GameStop had a DA2 midnight release. One guy, ONE guy was nice to me - the rest were like: SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. The only other GameStop I know of that has a girl working there amongst three guys is a thirty minute drive away.

The manager has been super rude to me as well whenever I fill out an application. I forgot to fill out one thing once, and he hasn't let me live it down. <_< I figure they won't hire me any time soon, but I like to go in there just to freak them out.

No! EWW. Those are reserved for men in bowling alleys and my local GameStop employees! Oh and middle aged hippies. Can't leave out hippies when referring to 'man-ponies'.

I will retrieve scissors immediately and cut that creepy lump of hair clean off!

Yeah no. I wouldn't like that one bit. I think my Shepard renegade Shepard would threaten to kick him off the Normandy if he didn't cut it... my paragon would just reduce him down to noncaffinated coffee.

Noooo...*eyes partially closed as she tries to picture Joker withe a pony-tail* Joker does not seem the type of guy that would go for a pony tail...at least not until he is retired or something. For some strange reason all the retired military guys I met, buddies of my Vet father, all have pony tails and/or actual beards. Some of them, my father included, actually have their beard tied or braided. Its not a pretty sight.

In regards to Gamestop, dunno who is managing your guy's local stores but the ones down the road from me is actually nice. I'm in S. Texas and the last time I went, they had a girl behind the counter that still had purple dye in her hair that hasn't quite washed out from her last 'con trip. I never had trouble with the guys, and one even suggested I apply since I seem to know so much (at the time) of the more popular RPGs. Me...a white female gamer in within 30 minutes of the Texas-Mexico border and who speaks less than the bare minimum of Spanish.
