Wej, (for some reason I wanna call you Wedge, like from Star Wars XD) ignorance is the fault of our educational system for not feeling it necessary to educate kids on the happenings of the past century. Sometimes I swear I'm the only person in America that knows how the Bolsheviks came to power. My amateur historian-ness actually loves the Cold War era, such an intriguing time period, shame no one seems to know what it was. At any rate, you get back to work and I'll get back to bed. Studying for midterms for the past two weeks has absolutely killed my sleep cycle.

Dude, if you could make SR2 mittens that would be AWESOME. Or a knit beanie or something. I'm sure they'd take those submissions, too!
Ohh... SR2 gloves =) I like the way you think
I might be able to do this. It will never be finished in time for the competition but it will be fun to make them anyways. Great idea!
Read the story and I like it, it was cute. You got Jacob really good as well so big star for that.

Your wish is my command =) I'll put together a suggestion with some photos and color and send it to you.
Hmm.... Considering what I have at home, can we make it paragon - gloves?
I was thinking dark gray gloves with paragon-interuppts in blue embroidered on the palm of each hand. The gray yarn I have has a tiny sheen of dark dark purple in it, otherwise I would have suggested a paragon-interrupt inside the right hand and a renegade one on the inside of the left one. But it will clash. Maybe a ME3 in blue on the top of the hand just for show? Hmm... I can pm you photos with the colors so you can say if it's to your liking
Otherwise it will have to wait until the day I get some black yarn. I'm on a yarn-diet at the moment. Went a little overboard on some faboulus BFL/Silk last week.
Oups... sorry, didn't mean to turn this into the yarn-corner....
slightly more on topic...
One thing I like with the new dlc for DAII is that certain companions get a little extra attention and lines. I would love to see something like that in ME3. And it would be great if you could get something with Joker in it as well. Hmm.. yes, I know that he will have a lot of lines and space in ME3. But wouldn't it be great to see him out of that chair. I would love it. I really liked MotA, it was a good piece of dlc. Hope that the dlc we will get one day for ME3 will be just as good.
I would love to get the Joker-cap. But I'm still waiting for my FemShep-shirt that my husband ordered for me last month.... maybe they are sending it by doneky-cart up to Stockholm. One little poor donkey trudging along after getting of the boat somewhere in central europe. It would explain the delay anyways...
edit: spelling as always... =)

As far as the gloves goes, now I'm waiting for Phantom to give it a go. I updated the plan a little and pm:ed her. We'll see what she says.
And I would love to get the Joker-cap. But one can only get that many toys in a month. Let's just hope that it is in the next time I'm getting a shirt or something. Envious of all of those who got it already =)

Edit: Thought of some Jokerish things he would do. He could go and hover behind Shepard while she does some work... like Shepard does to him. Hahaha!

Glad I could give you a good idea, I try.
Also glad you liked the story, and that won't be the last you see of Jacob. I'm going to have Shep talk to pretty much everyone on the ship at least once...it helps me with characterization, trying to figure out who would say what and such.

So basically, is he on leave or active duty or what during ME2? He says he was "grounded" after Shepard's death. I took this to mean that he was still in the Alliance but restricted to desk work or maintenance or whatever a half-crippled pilot can do. Can someone with more knowledge about the military than me share some perspective?

Out of curiosity, what exactly is Joker's standing with the Alliance right now? We know that during Shepard's escape from Earth at the beginning of ME3 he's flying the Normandy. To me, this implies that no one had to break him out of prison before that, but I know that the military is pretty touchy about people going AWOL to work for terrorist organizations.

I would love to know this as well, but more than likely we will either have to wait to play ME3 to find out or will never find out cause is a 'plot miracle.'
I'm secretly hoping that Joker was an Alliance agent/spy pretending to work for Cerberus (sp? Too tired to look up spelling). Hey, he's the last guy I would expect doing that sort of work which makes him perfect for it. If he was, he would be the perfect witness to help Shepard at a military trial, if its a fair one and Joker's work is not marked as 'classified. It would give a reason why he is able to get away with flying what is now an Alliance military spacecraft. Of coarse this could the lack of sleep talking.

Otherwise what Raydiva said, Joker was an Alliance spy (along with Ken imo). I'm inclined to think it wasn't official and only Anderson and post Horizon the VS knew the real story in ME2. Cerberus is actually good at the espionage thing and has operatives even high up in the Alliance.
It's no wonder my poor spacer doesn't trust anyone.

I don't think Joker was working for the Alliance spying on Cerberus. I think he joined Cerberus because he was pissed at the Alliance and the Council, and because he found out about Project Lazarus and is incredibly loyal to Shep. However, I think that given his actions beyond the Omega-4 relay and history of prior service, he will be pardoned for treason, but it will be very hush-hush. Plus, since the Alliance captured the Normandy, no one else is qualified to fly her. They could teach someone else, but that would take time and money.
