Coming out of lurking here, this thread's just to amazing not to post in.

I really hope the leak is as old as they say it is, because i do feel a Jokermance is pretty easy to implement, at least compared to Tali, whom wasn't even in the game until fans demanded a romance.

I've been trying to stay positive about the few spoilers i've read, but its getting harder and harder.

I kind of got that too. Some people went a bit too far, but it's another case of the one speaking for the many. 99.8% of the tweets i've seen have been very civil and polite.

Yes, some people did go too far. The tweets may have been civil, but spamming is not a good way to get what we'd like. We don't like it when trolls constantly post their hate, do we?

We would absolutely love a Joker-mance, but we needed to do something like Thane's fans did for a cure. It was fun, cute, and polite.

But, I'm trying not to go down the "I told you so" path. These people made a mistake, as well all do. It...just may have cost us some respect. That's what sucks the most.

Anyway.

As for me, I still firmly believe that this document is a rough draft. I may not have read many spoilers (some creeped up on me like a shrub monkey), but I won't believe any of them until I have the game on my TV.

Heh, I'm more optimistic than I thought. Or cautiously so.

Oh good, I'm not the only one. And yeah, most of us weren't that bad about it. But it only takes one person to make the entire class run laps.

Yeah, I agree. And I was really hoping to avoid that happening, or at least wanting to avoid it. But alas, it did anyway.

I can't tell you how many letters of apology I've written, erased, and written again. We have obviously lost respect; and that, to me, is worse than not getting a Joker Romance.

I haven't been blocked either, and I tweeted him twice. *shrug* And then I answered his "if we were only able to implement one LI" question, but that doesn't count since he asked.

Yeah it's pretty bad. Could be worse (we could have all been blocked and Ms. Merizan could have come back to tell us we're all horrible people), but it's bad enough.

It's depressing, really. I don't want us to be known as a group of whiny and/or spammy fans. I mean, I'm buying ME3 regardless if we get the option to romance Joker. My copy of the Collector's Edition is already paid off and everything. I would love to romance him, though if we don't get it, I'll be sad -- disappointed even -- but I'm still gonna enjoy the game.

Look at the bright side: if anything, Joker plays a larger role in ME3. Dunno what that involves exactly, but I can't imagine Seth Green's 12 hours of dialogue are just Joker listening to more porn or "pew pew pew"ing.

Ah well. I really wont blame or condemn people for trying the only way they knew how. Since at least they tried, getting people to do something for a cause is usually pretty flaccid.

I've interned at a game design company, and i've seen first hand how annoying it can be to have so many people complaining about your product and asking for changes.
Keep in mind we're not the only people asking for stuff. I may be stressing a little, but thats probly because i was the one who went through the mail.
