@Slydfoxxy, she also says this pretty much exactly after he tells femShep about his dead wife. Tact... She doesn't have it.
Lol, I love that de-motivational! XD

I'd welcome the same system which was employed in DA2, i.e. flirt icons. I was ninjamanced by Liara and I don't even know how. I was just touring the ship, being friendly, plus the lines themselves didn't sound very flirty either. Then Kaidan delivered his "Liara is interested in you" which was quite unexpected. Well, it was easy to tell her I'm not interested, but it made me feel terrible... like I was leading her on, which wasn't my intend in the first place.
"Intend icons" would be ideal solution for everybody who wants to avoid certain romances for various reasons.
This. SO MUCH! I really hope Bioware is reading this, Paterik. Symbols inside of the dialogue wheel indicating your character's reaction towards something were an exremely welcome and helpful addition in Dragon Age.
Also, yeah, I was kind of disappointed with Liara's "ninjamance" in the first game. She is an interesting character, but you weren't able to talk with her more than twice without initiating the romance. However, Bioware improved the system in ME2 (making your or a character's interest in you a little more obvious)... except for maybe Jacob. It was difficult to have an early conversation with him without accidentally tripping the romance (even Femshep's "let's talk" option sounds really flirty). However, icons inside of the dialogue wheel would fix this! Once again, Bioware, I hope you're seeing this!
ROFL, I love this picture!!!!
Couldn't agree more. There I was having a nice and sad (!) conversation with Thane and out of the blue came the "I want you, Thane" option. WTF?! Really ruined the scene for me, too. I had already hooked up with Garrus, so I didn't click on it. But just knowing the line was there had me shake my head every time I talked to Thane.
The sad thing is, BW did it again. DA2 romances? I'm still on my first playthrough and haven't really romanced anyone yet. But I was appalled by the option to hit on Anders like a horny teenager the very second he joined the party! In the same tone of voice femShep talks to Jacob!!! Basically: "Glad you joined us, Anders. Let's have sex." (The others still standing around in the background!) Then Anders gives a dramatic speech about how he doesn't want to break Hawke's heart even though they've only just met

Ahrrg! Most ridiculous writing I've seen since, well Jacob.
And the heart symbols for ME3?? No. No. NO!
If you're not capable of telling that "I want you, Thane" is, uh, let's call it flirting, then I'm very sorry.
It was very obvious in ME2 which answers were initiating/progressing the romance. I don't need stupid heart symbols.
Since this is the Joker thread:
I'd be interested in a Joker romance if the ME2 and DA2 romances didn't lead me to believe that they might make a mess of it. So I'm leaning more towards no Joker romance at the moment.
By all means, prove me wrong, BioWare! But if you're not sure how you can make it work, don't try, ok?
