I don't really hate her, she just REALLY gets on my nerves with her incredibly cocky attitude, haha. She would be pretty cool if she lost that 'tude. XD

I think that we tend to be a bit more anti-Miranda because of the reaming she gave Joker after the Normandy was ambushed by the Collectors.
Overall, though, I like Miranda. She's got more than her fair share of insecurities...I'm sure that's why she is so cocky. I just wish I had more opportunities to smack her around. Lol.

I personally don't like her because she was all "I'm perfect" and was your forced second in command, a spot reserved for Garrus. Everything is more stylish with Garrus.

This, this so much. Garrus is essentially Ryan's second-in-command (he always leads the second team during the Suicide Mission anyway), Illusive Man be damned.MissFish wrote...

I think that Miranda's (and Jacob's reaction, for that matter) really fits her character. I mean, she's the Lazarus Cell top Cerberus officer, and she sends reports to TIM (how was she going to explained the situation to him?). And she's obsessed with perfection and the success of the mission. It would have been strange that she had been forgiving. But that was an outburst of rage. I guess that when she calmed down and she thought for the second time about what happened, she realized she had been unnecesarily sharp with Joker. Maybe she apologized to him.

Hey guys, just 60 more pages to 300!
I'd love to tell Miranda that during the recruitment missions
Miranda: I'm Shepards second in comand
Shepard: Umm... no. No your not.
Miranda: Commander?
Shepard: Didn't i tell you? Garrus is my new second in command. You were mean to Joker. I don't like that.
Shepard: Plus, Garrus has style, while you look like a hooker.

Shepard: Yeah, I just gotta know. Is that catsuit standard or optional?
Miranda: ...*death glare*
Shepard: Oi, it was just a question, Lawson. No need to get perfect-ass-hurt about it.
Miranda: Don't you have something to do?
Shepard: Probably. But this is way more entertaining.
*silence*
Shepard: So I'm guessing optional.
Miranda: Get out.
EDIT: I think this page needs more Joker.

XD With me, this moment usually occurs when Jack is recruited.
Miranda: I'm Miranda, Shepard's second in command.
Shepard: Oh...*hiss* You didn't get the memo...
Miranda: Memo, commander?
Shepard: Well...the Illusive Man said that I am in charge here...so...I promoted Garrus as my second in command.
Miranda: You what?! Shepard, the Illusive Man made me second in command, and I report to him every day!
Shepard: So you're admitting you're a spy.
Miranda: What? But I-
Shepard: *punches airlock*
Miranda: *shhwoop!*
Shepard: *smirks*
Jack: HAH!
Joker: *intercom* Uh, commander? Why is Miranda floating out in space?
Shepard: Because.
And it's not that we hate Miranda...she's just a bit easy to pick on.

Kenneth Shepard's sneaky. Nobody would blame her when her "second in command" was involved in a freak seeker swarm accident. It's not her fault Thane couldn't hold the barrier.

If you're killing her it means you're not doing her loyalty mission. I would suggest trying that. She's much more personable then (hence Defrosting Ice Queen). Miranda fans like her professional side even if it is a little cold. But it's not for everybody. Also as far as the inital crew of the SR-2 Miranda's sharp professionalism would be a good foil for Joker's... uhm casualness. Though that's a lesser point as there are plenty of serious professional characters. Maybe we need more on the lighter side of life.:happy:MissFish wrote...

Lol, you know, I didn't used to think they'd make a good couple; but, after thinking about it for a while they kinda would. If there is no Joker Romance, or if your Shepard decides not to pursue a romance with him, Joker should at least get a living breathing being. Joker's not very social, but Kelly is. They complete each other in that category. And she'd encourage him to be nicer...and he'd snark back at her. XD

We don't hate her (well, most of us don't), we just don't like her rather abraisive personality. Like I've said, I like her, but she's not up there on my list of favorite characters. Being fans of a guy named "Joker," we tend to like light-heartedness over the Ice Princess. Lol.
And her outburst on Joker was pretty uncalled for, you have to admit that. Most of us really would have liked to have had an option to snap her back in line.
Edit: Hey there, HolyAvenger! EDI/Joker shippers aren't so much banned as they are...discouraged from saying Joker should be with EDI and not a breathing human being. XD Needless to say, we really like Joker and would much rather see him with people, not bots. Lol.

But this is the Joker thread. And as much as Joker was blaming himself for losing the crew, it doesn't stop him from reaming Shepard out about it too. Which I liked. Joker is a fully functional adult and can stand up for himself. And the way Jacob threw his 2 cents in made me think that maybe he and Joker are buddies.
As for Joker/Kelly and Joker/EDI:
I'm with phantom on this. Joker/Kelly would be kinda cute. It would be her all "Hey there's this really great party happening here we should totally go." and him being all "Ugh. People person. Can't we just watch tv and cuddle?"
Joker/EDI...well there are some articulate rants posted elsewhere in the thread that I'm not going to copy paste but rather distill into key points (which I rememeber):
1) AI Simulated Emotions vs. Organic Emotions?
2) Disabled person not whole enough for romance with real people?
3) Character development - friendship with real people leads to potential relationships with real people (Shepard or otherwise)
