your words are so true  joker is the only person for her he has been with her/him since the beginning threw the good times, the bad times, the awkward times, and he is still there for her unlike other people<_<

Yeah I agree that Joker would make a lotta sense for Shepard as a LI he is the only person to come back to help him/her with no questions asked, Shepard doesn't even need to go get him he comes to help Shepard even if that means joining Cerberus.

@chibievil, same here! When I hear Seth Green's voice, I can't help but imagine Joker. I was looking for a video of Mr. Green in a role that would include some sweet talk, so I could get some notion how Jokermance could turn out  Well, I failed, sadly... I've come across very disturbing scene of Grey's Anatomy. At first, I was all like  "aww, so cute", but at the end I was "holy ****, I didn't see that coming! That's definitely not what I'd want to happen to Joker while romancing him."

I hope that Joker won't die during ME3, it'd destroy me. Please, please, BioWare, no heroic deaths this time, k?

Now this one is also one of my favorites, done by K-Laine also on deviantArt of Kara and Joker... hope you enjoy it. And yes, I've finally found this thread and spent the last little few hours with ME2 running in the background while reading all 25 pages of it lol.


And now for an odd question - for those of you who have custom avatars, how did you manage that? Any time I try to change mine, I can only use either my DA or DA2 images, or the ones the site itself provides. I see nothing that'll actually allow me to upload my own custom avatar...

Omega--I hope the same, I love Anderson! In fact, in a platonic way, I'd say I love him about as much as Joker. Bleh, Udina... I never chose him, either. I can't imagine wanting him around. Even as a politician, he's terrible. He always made the worst decisions.

SilentK--Exactly; I don't mind if they make my heart fall into a pit a few times, but kililng Joker is a great big DO NOT WANT! If he can die, I hope they make it a choice. (Ugh, Joker vs. Anderson... that would SUCK. If it were Joker vs. anyone else, I know who I'd save, but Anderson... *sniffles at the mere thought*)

My Dad's hair is about as grey as Karl's, and he's in his sixties. Plus, there are some pretty deep furrows under Karl's eyes. I don't know, I can't imagine Karl as being less than 50 at the absolute least. I tried, believe me! I wanted to imagine him as younger.

Anders... he might be early thirties by the end of DA2, but he doesn't seem to gain any new wrinkles, which would put him around Hawke's age (20-30.) The scene takes place at the beginning of the game IIRC, so I would assume he's at most 25. Gah, I wish they'd just given Karl black hair... but then I've wondered at times if that was meant to make Anders more sympathetic, that he was looking for a father figure. I just hope he was of age. Maybe as a mage he had to lose his virginity late to avoid being caught by the templars? That is entirely possible. Maybe they watched the younger ones more carefully.

And I'm the same way; I'm really hoping there's a Joker romance option, but I'm trying my best to not get my hopes up too terribly high.

That's a nice comic.  And I'm a bit of a fan of pessimism here... optimists not being able to be pleasantly surprised and all that. I'd rather give up and be happily squealing than hope and have my fangirl heart ground into hamburger.

And I've still got a sinking feeling at times that that whole "everybody wants Joker to get laid" thing will just lead them to decide "Joker won't get laid in like 80% of playthroughs if he's an option for Shepard, so let's just put in a hot babe to sit on his lap while he pilots."

really turned me off Thane's romance, sure the sentence wasn't that
obvious but really, Femshep has known him all of 3 hours and she wants
to jump his bones, a bit *too* forward if you ask me.

I know, right? I mean, I guess they were trying to be mature, but they were... 'mature' in the wrong way, IMO. Like, "sexy fling from the Real World" rather than "adult romance." Sort of appropriate for a suicide mission, maybe, but it just felt goofy and/or over the top at times. Clumsy, really. Like somebody trying to be subtle and instead being overt.

I don't want an "I Want You" option with Joker. Dragon Age 2's solution was the more elegant one; a heart icon lets you know you're playing with fire whether the line itself is bash-you-over-the-head sexy or not. I want it in slow, small increments. Gradient. Gradient romance.

I wouldn't mind if Joker hooked up with someone when he's not romanced by Shepard. Like Fenris and Isabela did in Act 3 in DA2. I'm not sure I can see how that could be integrated in the game, but still...
But the sight of Joker not giving a damn about my Shep and getting together with (possibly) random NPC would frustrate me.
And my Shep would probably let the Reapers win if that was the case.

Reminds me of when Buffy the Vampire Slayer went to a seriously creepy place and I was cringing through episodes. As cute as the semi-flirtatious banter is between EDI and Joker, it's never going to happen. The guy needs a real flesh and blood wo/man.

She's actually trying to bully Kailan, Kaidan, Kara, and Joker (oh and Kara got pissed when Vali started in on Joker O.O) into taking a step back so she could be front and center.... *headdesks*

I just cringed and had the sudden indescribably passionate urge to rip out the AI and make her into a bonfire...and replace her with Wheatley from Portal 2. Or the Space Core. ...XD Portal and Mass Effect meet!

But say, if by some weird reason we didn't get with Joker, the guy deserves SOMEBODY. Not Kelly. No. She's sweet, but not his type. Maybe they could balance eachother out, but I think Joker needs someone who can banter with him. Maybe another character. Ashley? ...No. Damnit. The only one for Joker is Shep. Period. He's been with her since the beginning and he accepted her back with no questions, no arguments, and he helps her. In ME1 after Anderson leaves, Joker tells Shep that no one blames her for it and everyone's behind her all the way. Then the "we were your team" dialogue in ME2. Joker's that guy you're best friends with and you just don't realize y'all actually love each other. It's cliche as hell but damnit, I love cliches! I love corny! GIVE US CORNY BIOWARE.

P.S. No Joker sacrifice plz. K? Thnks.
