Yeah. If it does exist I hope it is optional and that Shepard can discourage it without sounding like a complete jerk... I don't want to see Shepard's character shown in a negative light if we don't want to see something personally insulting.

I've mentally 'shipped' Joker and EDI for a long time, so I look forward to whatever is to come in that regard. I would be okay with finding ways to make their relationship optional though, considering how dedicated a Shep/Joker fandom there clearly is.

Same. Discouraging the ship from having a romance with one of the crew (when there's a multitude of ways that can backfire and endanger the mission) shouldn't be left only to renedouche.

You're still cool in my book, Jeff.

I just hope BioWare has also seen that we are a very dedicated - and on the whole, reasonable and polite - fan base and hasn't decided to ignore us for the last 4 or whatever years. Putting Joker solely with EDI would undermine everything we have done to try and get noticed, to try and earn respect as a legit fanbase.

I hope Bioware has considered us also, considering we are pretty considerate! I wouldn't even mind having Joker/EDI be an option as long as it's not the ONLY option. That would mean our fan base has been ignored completely, and that would just sting so bad

That's what made me feel that way! You're exactly right that she made it sound like "awesome Joker stuff" was meant to be a consolation prize.

As for the possibility Joker/EDI romance...just UGH. Way to burn thousands of fangirls even further. I'd be more upset about that than the lack of Shepard/Joked romance. Honestly, at least give Shepard an opportunity to flirt with him. Never taking a chance is worse than rejection.

We don't even know what's going to happen in ME3. Jessica might have been having a hard day and it reflected in her post...there are thousands of reasons why it could have that kind of tone to it. I don't think the developers could just sit back and ignore a fan base as large...and respectful for that matter as us. Even the people who don't agree with us say so....I mean, that's got to count for something. Just go into the other characters' threads...it's awful.

I'm not saying Jokermance is definitely going to happen, but I think it looks pretty hopeful. I'd rather hope than just give up and think there isn't going to be one! Keep your head up! March isn't here yet!  and if for some reason there isn't a Jokermance...well, that's what our head canons, fan art, and fan fiction are for. It won't be official, but at least it isn't impossible!

I knew you couldn't leave us! Plus, you gotta help us get to 300 by MLK day! I think it's totally possible...show BioWare what us Joker fans are made of!

As for the pessimism...I remain a realist. Not an optimist or a pessimist. However, I still put my faith in BioWare to do the right thing by its fans. We have been loyal to them and the character, hopefully we'll be rewarded! Remember, guys...Garrus fans were very pessimistic around this time before ME2 came out. When BioWare announced Thane as a new male LI, they were pretty damned sure they weren't getting their Garrusmance. Courage, friends!

Okay Jokermancer's will Joker be the first person you talk to after every mission in ME3, people tend to talk to their LI first after every mission , the romance dialogue usually show's up after two or three mission's at least
