They made Joker such a good charecter. Just insulting him this way undermines all of that.

I can't imagine why BioWare would want to put Joker with EDI and not give any chance to Shep...it really is quite the polarizing issue. Part of me wants to see what the general fan reaction will be if they do it...I know a lot of friends who aren't on the boards who will be severely pissed. If I know that many people who are just average fans who will be mad, I can't imagine how many people will be raging come March 6th...

That's an understatement.

I highly doubt most Joker/EDI supporters are nearly as passionate about the pairing as we are about Joker/Shepard. It would be pretty ballsy of BioWare to implement an EDImance and not a Jokermance.

On to page 285, then soon 300!

 hello. I ´ve been watching this forum for a while but never wrote anything.
I jus want to say that I really wish there will be jokermance in ME3. I thin there are so many reasons why it would work. I´m not very happy abou Joker/EDI but if itś optional I´m OK with it.

Yeah I am selfish too in this case. But not only Joker, the same goes for the other LIs as well. Seeing Kaidan or Garrus with a non-Shepard girl in ME3 would really be hard. I know I am awful...

I'm actually pretty passionate about it. I just don't talk about it much because there's an overwhelming opposition to it on here.

Just being frank. 

And like I said before, I have no qualms with forcing the Joker/EDI thing into being optional so that Shepard can romance Joker. It's obvious there's a strong wave of supporters for this and, well, while I'm being frank, I'll add that I'm unlike a lot of folks and genuinely want as much compromise between my beliefs on what would make ME3 glorious and the conflicting beliefs of others as possible.

Another example would be my desire for another Virmire-esque scenario, whereby a squadmate must be sacrificed to progress the game. Novels of text have been written here on BSN as to why a bunch of people feel like it's just a cheap thrill and not dramatic, but I vehemently disagree. I think it sets the tone for a war just right. Sacrifices must be made. That said, there are a lot of people who don't want this and I can respect that. As such, I'll be OK with a couple of instances where a reasonably well-intentioned decision might lead to the downfall of a squadmate so I can have that dramatic impact and what I believe to be (relative) realism without forcing droves of fellow fans into submission.

But yes, I'm pretty passionate about Joker/EDI. I may be in the minority here, but hey, that hasn't stopped anyone on BSN before. It's just that there are only so many places I feel like I can discuss it. The long and short of it is, I've always been something of a cyberpunk fan. Data from TNG, the Reploids from Blade Runner, the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica. (Which, hey, featured Tricia Helfer as an attractive blonde robot with thought, feeling and romantic desires. Hm!) If a Joker/EDI romance is done well enough, I have no issue with it; in fact I revel in the idea.

While I fully focus my own sexuality on fellow humans (lol), there's something downright intriguing to me about a man or a woman finding comfort with a construct. It's a very "two worlds clash", or "star-crossed" sort of thing to me, and I've seen it work flawlessly in other media.

Basically, I've seen Joker and EDI as something of a 'couple' from their first scene together and that has stuck. My enjoyment of Helfer's role in Battlestar Galactica certainly has something to do with it, but it works for me.

I would like to add one more thing to that statement, actually. Those of you who harbor ill will toward myself and others who enjoy the notion of Joker/EDI romance simply because we're virtually guaranteed to be getting it, please consider the following: on March 6th and beyond, there will be rampant, rampant animosity toward it if a Shepard/Joker romance isn't included. Like Talimancers and Final Fantasy VII fans, we'll have tomatoes thrown at us for bringing this devil upon you for years to come.

You know, I really don't harbor "ill will" per se towards Joker/EDI supporters... I see y'all more as a bunch of upstart interlopers (I don't mean this condescendingly, by the way, just trying to find words that fit what I'm thinking XD) that gave us a rainy day when we were hopeful about a possible Jokermance in ME2...then this AI thing shows up and flirts with Joker. OH BOY. Yeah, we were really excited about that. <_< In came the nay-sayers that laughed at us and said, "Hurhur, Joker's with the ship's computer srry." Ever since, we've been saying "BioWare, why you do this to us???" It's nothing personal, at least on my end. Because of that, for the record, I hope you don't get tomatoes pelted at you...you guys aren't Talimancers, you really don't deserve it. You also haven't been actively asking for it like we have (and haven't been nearly as whiny as most Talimancers, the people we get in here trollin' for Joker/EDI probably aren't actually interested in the pairing like you...they just want to make someone mad).

I think the worst thing about this come March 6th if there's Joker/EDI and no Joker/Shepard will be all the trolls... "Hate to tell you we told you so, but WE TOLD YOU SO HAHAHAHA." Ugh. It was bad enough when ME2 came out and BioWare had Joker flirt with the ship...this time, it won't be pretty. (Jokermancers, no matter what happens in here, for the love of God don't do anything to get the thread locked...like feeding trolls and becoming overly defensive.)

Though I have to agree with you, Jeff...the sci-fi theme that's played out in BSG and Star Trek particularly of putting humans with constructs of human ingenuity is pretty fascinating. I also enjoyed Tricia Helfer's role on BSG very much, and I'm afraid they'll try to reprise it with EDI...it would be way too easy to do. I also personally think having an autonomous android simultaneously being the ship's computer is a bit silly. But, that's just me.

I will give you enormous amounts of credit for coming in here and saying that you're actually a big Joker/EDI shipper. And that you're being reasonable and honest about it, making an effort to respect our views. Most of us will take the time to do the same, despite our passionate support for Joker/Shepard. (Also, despite what others might say about us being unreasonable and stubborn...we are definitely the latter, but not the former. XD)

Edit: BRODY??? You're...alive? We've often theorized that Joker might be a bit too sensitive to the fact you romanced someone else, and thus would only romance you if you were totally single throughout both games. Maybe that's what will happen, you never know.
