It's not quite as horrible as I was fearing... but it's still sickening and creepy and I just don't want it to be real. I thought for once Tricia Helfer was free of the fanservice role and in a position to be appreciated solely for her acting talents, but it's sounding like that's decidedly not the case.

God, if this is what we're looking at, it's gonna be Thane constantly talking about his wife and kid all over again, isn't it? Intermittent doses of torture injected throughout the game, blended together with the parts of it that should have been so sweet.
Even worse because an AI suddenly planted in an organic body is like a teenager in terms of life experience. Beyond creepy.

That is...a lot of dialogue. Doesn't make me too hopeful for change. Hopefully (if Bioware is smart) it is something that happens when Shep doesn't romance him? It's getting hard to grasp those straws...

Ah, thank you... I hadn't heard of there being a draft before; I've been studying and doing projects for about 4 months now, so I didn't know about the beta until like yesterday, and this was new to me.SgtPepper667 wrote...
A lot of Bioware employees have said numerous times to disregard the draft, and that's all that it was, a draft. I don't know if EDI/Joker is going to be in ME3, but I trust that the developers know what they're doing...besides they have told us to not post spoilers, I don't know if that counts, but I would hate for us to get in trouble.
12 more pages! Let's do this! FOR SPARTAN JOKER!
If it's already been said that the draft should be disregarded... then that's something, at least. A little bit of relief. I will try to let Spartan Joker soothe my troubles away (because, let's face it, no matter what happens, he IS pretty damned awesome.)
This could be. The teams do trade ideas sometimes, and the Fenris/Isabela booty call relationship only happens if you don't romance either of them.RynJ wrote...

Even if this draft wasn't changed, we still have hope that we won't see this dialogue because we'll all be too busy romancing Joker ourselves. Not that having to watch it on non-Joker playthroughs would be more than cringe-inducing for most of us, but that would be better than it always playing out this way. Inevitably.
I just... I liked non-fanservice EDI, you know? I don't want her romancing anybody. Same with Legion. It's so very, very unnecessary and creepy. They're like very smart children in terms of personality. They're not experienced in the ways of organics. Ten years down the line, after they developed their own identities and collected organic experiences in a natural way... sure, maybe. But now? No. Steve Carell-style no.
I guess I have to just hope that the writers found the idea as inauthentic and weird as I do, reading that. That it just didn't feel right and they scrapped it.

Me too. I feel like they're ruining EDI and that idea makes me almost as upset as not having a Jokermance would. She used to actually be unique and now...well it's not to be said in this thread.
If Joker/EDI happens then I want to romance Legion, just saying

Me too! It feels like it's been much longer because I've been watching the ME3 info slowly drip in for months now. I have never followed information on a game months before it's release just in the hopes to catch new tidbits of info for ANY other game! Mass Effect, what have you done to me? (Whatever it is, please don't stop XD)

I claim Harbinger! :B
I like EDI as a blue ball as well. I don't want her in a body walking around. If she's like a VI interface and stuck in one place like in ME2, then I'd be okay with that. But I feel like she's been changed to satisfy a cliche that did not need to be satisfied...because cliche's or not meant to be used!
Now that I've put in my two cents...
Guys, I had the WORST dream last night!
I was playing Mass Effect 3...and beat it in an hour.

And this is the first time I have EVER followed the news of a video game so diligently! I'm obsessed with finding out new things about the game - no spoilers of course. Just the combat, the graphics, basics on characters - I'm obsessed.
