Just an idea, anyone thought of tweeting Seth Green about his take on this? I would but I don't have a twitter account >.<

Yeah I have always been willing to forgive Bioware for a lot, mainly because the first game I ever properly played was NWN, so it's mainly cause of Bioware that I am into gaming now and Bioware games are normally the standard to which I hold other games... but reading this is just, ugh, if it happens I wont actually be angry just really really dissapointed.

They seem to think it is what a lot of fans want, but I rarely hear of anyone saying they seriously want it in the game, all I hear is people saying aww it'd be cute.

I don't know if they realise that they would actually be alienating a fair amount of their fanbase, cause if this is how the games they make are going to go now I don't know if I am gonna really want to get another Bioware game =S

So I'm very disappointed by THIS,
I thought, that BioWare could do better than make the most memorable
(at least for me) character, as an freaking clown, that want to bang a
pile of wires and procesors...

I know, right? :/ I agree with everything you said. But it's even worse in some ways. Ugh. Just... the justifications behind it are about as mind-explodingly stupid as they can possibly be.

There are so many things wrong with this, I can't even... ugh. I liked 6, too. I loved BSG, in fact. I think Tricia Helfer's great. She frankly deserves better.

I don't want to say too much, because this is still not a spoiler forum. I'll just say... the outrageous idiocy, creepiness, and/or unpopularity of EDI/Joker should by no means indicate to any of us that it is not going to happen. Particularly since it was in a confirmed draft of the script. And no, it was not just jokes.

 I would, but I'm not sure what to say... I adore the guy, but I think he's smitten enough with Tricia Helfer (in a friendly way) that he likes how things went. I could be wrong, but I don't think he's aware of the existence of female gamers besides his wife and his wife's friends.

Or maybe he just never thought we wanted it. Or maybe he just has no ability to alter their decisions. Or maybe... I really don't know what to think about the guy anymore. Been a fan of his for a long time, even before Oz. (Same with Alyson H.) Hell, I even grew up a stone's throw from Philly. But I don't feel like we'll get support from him. I guess because he has so much going on in his life. Married now, does Robot Chicken and all that. This is really just a few hours from his year, in the end. He likes it, but I don't think he invests in it, or would invest in us.

I loved ME because it was thoughtful sci-fi. This... it's just the antithesis of thoughtful in every way.

I agree too! I love Kaidan and Thane and Garrus as well as Joker. I really, really hope they do those characters justice in this game... I always said I wanted to see more sides to them. Joker has always been my preferred LI for my main Shep, but that doesn't mean there isn't room in my heart for more. Heck, I've even enjoyed romancing Liara and Jack. I think a lot of people can appreciate multiple romances.

We girl gamers and those who support us have to stick together--otherwise they'll forget about us! There's a reason a FemShep trailer is being made. It's because we have a voice. And if we use that combined voice, then we can achieve so much more than we could apart.

I just wish we'd known sooner what the scripts look like, and had protested back when there was still time to change things.

one of the things that make me hate joker/edi the most is because when shepard asked about it in mass effect 2, joker was offended and somewhat shocked that shepard would even think that, and now with what he said in the spoilers, i just feel that they betrayed a character carefully crafted over 2 games and destroyed him (i like to think that this isn't bio-ware's decision, but one pushed on them from their evil EA overlords, who have a reputation for screwing up perfectly good game franchises, but that's just my opinion no need to go spreading it around) i just don't know, i used to trust that game developers new what was best and listened to feed back from their fans, but the recent slue of crappy games (in the way that they may look good, but, at the cost of having have no depth, or real story any more) anyways end of rant, and i'm fairly sure i didn't say anything to spoilery that we all didn't know

I too feel like we were screwed over as a fanbase because they thought it would be funny. Ugh....

There are three things I know. One, I'm totally dating the guy who offered to be the Joker to my Shepard for Halloween now, so at least I got that. Two, there is nothing stopping me from going to Edmonton and pouting on some office steps. Three, poor MainShep is going to have to pick between Kaidan and Garrus (maybe Vega) while she got rejected for a robot x-x

Come on guys, you know where you can discuss this stuff. We can talk about possibilities in here, generalizations, and such, but basically confirming what was in the leaked beta docs is not okay. I'm sorry, but it's gotta go to the spoilers group. 

So, what is okay: discussing the possibility that Joker/EDI will happen. You know something more than that? Keep it to yourself, and don't post/say anything incriminating. The use of the word "if" is highly encouraged.

Not okay: bemoaning the fact Joker/EDI is in the beta files. That make sense?

I think we also agreed that linking is okay, but shrouding isn't. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I repeat, there are people here who HAVE NOT read the beta.tlk files. We've been over this. This is why Koji created the spoilers group. Use it.

Anyway, I think we need a Spartan Joker up in here. I know we're already past 300 pages, but that doesn't mean we can't still have that spirit. We need to stick together as Joker fans and put a smile on in the face of adversity, and not sit around being sad and stuff.

I completely agree with you, Sky. I, for one, chosen not to read the beta leak, because I want to go into ME3 almost completely blind. I can't exactly go into the ME3 General Discussion because someone is always posting stuff about the leak. It's nice to have somewhere to go to talk about Mass Effect - and my favorite character - with and not get spoiled, y'know?

If we're fighting for Jokermance - and Spartan Joker! - we need to remain postive and hopeful, making our voices heard. So...HOLD THE LINE. FOR SPARTAN JOKER! XD

AAAAANNYYYWAAAAYS...I, for one, would love to discuss the aforementioned 'discussing of Joker weilding a weapon during the SM'. Bring on the sexy! XDD Spartan Joker is also welcome.

I'm sitting in the unfamiliar position of....almost losing interest in this game entirely. With the news that Origin will be a requirement for single-player, coupled with no Steam release and the potential lack of Jokermance leaves me feeling bitter.

I'm sad now

This entire thing, really. As I've said before, I'm like an ME3 virgin. I wish to keep it that way until March 6th. XD

If the airlock opens at the end of ME3 and Spartan Joker is standing there, I will laugh my ass off because it's so flippin' awesome. And then I will promptly fly up to Edmonton and give Casey Hudson a hug and buy him dinner. But after I finish ME3. Priorities, y'know.

Oh come on they are cute. Though, an EDI sexdoll would most definitely not be. I thought they never record together? It's strange how much Joker looks like Seth Green yet is so proportionally different.

A jokeDI sympathiser as I may be, this is not what I had in mind at all, I was thinking a tragic story along the lines of "oh no you're a robit our love can never be" *cue tears* That sort of thing.
