For the record, whether or not people have read the scripts, the edi x joker rumour IS out there and has been for a LONG time. No one has stated that it IS definitely happening in their posts, because no one can. If biowares protests over the leak being ancient is true, even those that have read the script can't claim it as fact, even if they've picked up on something that hints at it in the leak.

I definitely dont think theres any reason at all to come down on people for discussing a rumour (and potentially alienating them, we've got people posting that haven't posted in a while and i for one don't want them to feel unwelcome), i honestly don't know anyone in the joker fanbase that hasnt heard this rumour, its been around for as long as EDI has, unfortunately.

I'm not saying discussing the leak is okay, but people aren't always going to pu$syfoot over their wording i.e. using if or not. To be honest the only thing that made the rumour sound definite was people telling others off for mentioning it

Anyway, i agree we need positivity. And thus im going to let off an art bomb. 3.. 2.. 1... duck!

I completely agree with you, Sky. I, for one, chosen not to read the beta leak, because I want to go into ME3 almost completely blind. I can't exactly go into the ME3 General Discussion because someone is always posting stuff about the leak. It's nice to have somewhere to go to talk about Mass Effect - and my favorite character - with and not get spoiled, y'know?

If we're fighting for Jokermance - and Spartan Joker! - we need to remain postive and hopeful, making our voices heard. So...HOLD THE LINE. FOR SPARTAN JOKER! XD

AAAAANNYYYWAAAAYS...I, for one, would love to discuss the aforementioned 'discussing of Joker weilding a weapon during the SM'. Bring on the sexy! XDD Spartan Joker is also welcome.

This entire thing, really. As I've said before, I'm like an ME3 virgin. I wish to keep it that way until March 6th. XD

If the airlock opens at the end of ME3 and Spartan Joker is standing there, I will laugh my ass off because it's so flippin' awesome. And then I will promptly fly up to Edmonton and give Casey Hudson a hug and buy him dinner. But after I finish ME3. Priorities, y'know.

And a big welcome to all the newcomers! Let's all be happy Jokerites together.

LAST SPOILER-RELATED TALK:

The problem with that is, I just looked at the spoilers group for the first time and and on the first page were at least 2 spoilers that I had not seen. That I really didn't want to know about. Minor, but I didn't want to know. One I would've rather seen in action, because it's nice, and the other just makes me all the more sick inside.

I talked about the one horror that I did look up because I was afraid of it happening, but I was like "no way, they'd never make a decision that bad, I have more faith in them than that." But it's true. And frankly, I think it's better to be braced for something so awful. To NOT be a virgin to that one, single fact. Why? Because stumbling into that little mine and having it explode in your face, or worse, watching it slowly unfold with a sinking feeling in your gut that finally becomes realized... I think it's just horrible. Cruel. Especially when there is a very painful tease in place.

I will respect it if no one else feels that way, and I won't discuss it. I'll create a new thread on the Spoiler forum, or I'll just brace myself and hope that no worse spoilers are in that thread. But frankly, I think it's far less awful to be confronted with this OUTSIDE of the game--to be able to go through the stages of the grieving process, to purge one's disgust--than to get into the game and get slapped in the face with disappointment after disappointment.

I think being spoiled is ultimately less painful. But, it's everyone's own decision.
I just hate thinking about how much it's going to suck for them when they do find out.

I couldn't agree more, I never played the first game as I'm a ps3 owner, but the moment I spoke to him in the second I thought he was adorable, for those of you that have played dragon age, he (to me) had the immediate lovability that Allistair has! I was very dissapointed to find out I'd have to romance a human I find lacking in personality or an alien, especially when I found out Kelly was a romancable choice! so in conclusion, if he's back, he's saved the galaxy twice, let him get some love!!
