EDI is an artifical intelligence designed to give intel to Shepard, not to spend it's time skipping in flowers with the helmsman. It would not feel anything and their romance would be based on nothing but puppy love from Joker. They would not live a happy life together or have children, whilst on the other hand Shepard and Joker are two beings that have emotions. Placing the AI in a human body seems like a moronic idea as there would be no point as the AI needs to be aboard the ship to assist in combat and such. Not run around and have intercourse with the horny brittle-boned pilot. If Tali of whom could actually get extremely ill, can doodle-doo with Shepard then a human being of whom seems to have developed a close relationship slowly can doodle-doo with Shep as well. Relationships aren't always based on sex and it could just be displays of affection and the scene would just be a kiss or a hug. Though I'm beginning to doubt it as Bioware has a tendency to make everyone bone each other. If what I typed was confusing, take note I am a turtle.

She's not perfect either, she is limited by her programming just as you're limited by the limations that come with being human.
Comparing an AI to a cellphone is silly, it's a none thinking machine. Just as comparing a Virtual Intelligence to an Artificial Intelligence is wrong, one posseses the illusion of free will while the other does in fact have the spark within them.
I'm not asking for robot sex, seeing as a machine would unlikely have the desire to indulge in sex but I see no reason to invalidate a character as a person occurs just because she is harder to humanize in some peoples eyes. The idea that their friendship is somehow LESS because she is a machine and not blood and flesh is silly...

Let's just say that idea of romancing anyone besides Legion with EDI is really unhealthy.
I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

We have limitations but those came out from society we live in, but we can break those rules and limitations on our own acord, she can't.
I don't mind the 'friendship', but ppl who are against Joker romance say that "He belonges to EDI" period! Thats why i'm so on the edge with that. Still love EDI (and her VA)
EDIT: @Elanor1 "SI"? Where are You from? May I ask?

However, I've found logic in this "he is my buddy" reasoning. I just tried to put myself in their shoes and I came up with the following. It's only my interpration and maybe I'm totally wrong.
I think that people are so worried about it because of the lack of friendship dialogue in ME2. There were just two extremes - romance or eternal calibrating (figuratively speaking) and people are afraid that this very thing is going to happen with Joker. You romance him, you get a lot of amazing dialogue or you don't and you lose content.
I believe that these concerns are baseless since (according to Casey's twitter) we'll have deeper interactions with the crew, romance or not.
After my analysis, I think it's safe to say that we have successfully dismissed all the claims against Jokermance, thus we may finally GET IT!

So even when some ppl don't want to do that just don't triger that. Simple. But I was waiting for this romance from ME1 and i don't want some stupid arguments strip me out from this option.

Let's get back to the topic point...
I think that Jokerromans haters are on lost position. Their arguments makes no sense to me.
Anyway, I don't see many of them here. ;]

Your Shepard and Joker are on a date. He has to hit the head for a minute and tells your Shepard to order for him. The waiter is here.
WHAT DOES YOUR SHEPARD ORDER FOR JOKER? Remember, food is the way to a man's heart.
And don't say burgers with horseradish!
Bailie would order him some mousaka (like lasagna.) Something with plenty of meat and some tomato sauce!

Lauren would order him an honest to god dead cow steak medium rare and a medium stake for herself. :'D
I'd save pizza and beer for a night in, not a night out.

Jude: Oh, ****! What does he like? ****!
Waiter: O_o
She is quite the potty mouth.
Then it would come down to either steak or pizza. She would order both, the steak for him and the pizza slices for her. If he doesn't want the steak, they can trade.
EDIT: Actually...he probably would want the steak. I remember one of his quotes saying that he wants an "honest to God dead cow". A man after my own heart.

I would order him something meaty...like beef kabobs, or steak, with a side of something cheesy or potatos.

Whoever caught the Iron Man reference wins a cookie. But yeah, I would imagine Joker would want something like that. Nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned American eatin'! And this would be a good cheeseburger. The kind you see on billboards and commercials.
And, when in doubt, rib out! Beef ribs with a side of coleslaw and french fries! Diana would probably order herself a t-bone steak and potatoes. Individual orders don't matter anyway since the two of them would just end up stealing bites from each others' meals. Why have it "to each his/her own" when you can share? Lol
