I hope you don't mind if I do some dialoguing. I did the same during the lead up to DA2's release for Anders, and I always have a blast with
it.

This is... long. Because my muse just ran away with me. Also, flangst!
Because fiction can’t be easy!
SHEPARD:
(Walking down a hallway aboard the Normandy)Alright, EDI, which room did you say this 'anomaly' was in?
EDI: In the door furthest down the hall, to your right.
SHEPARD:
(Walks to the door) (Inspects the panel and holographic imaging) Doesn't look like it was altered, or forced open, or hacked. What did you say the anomaly was?
EDI: My sensors can't read it, Shepard. It doesn't appear to be life-threatening.
SHEPARD: And why me, again?
EDI: I would have summoned Mess Sergeant Gardner to deal with it, but he is currently on shore-leave. I could summon him back--
SHEPARD: No, no, it's fine. Let him have his break. It's my ship. I can check it out. Open the door, EDI.
EDI: As you wish.
(Door opens)SHEPARD:
(Cautiously steps into the room. Peers around the darkness before lighting his omnitool, scanning and sending a beam of light out) You getting any other reading, EDI?
EDI: I am sorry, Shepard. Perhaps you need to be further in the room? It might be shielded.
SHEPARD:
(Walks further into the room) (The door slams shut) EDI!
EDI: I apologize, Shepard. There seems to be a malfunction.
SHEPARD: Malfunction my ass! Open the door!
EDI: I shall summon the Mess Sergeant once he returns from shore leave, as per your instructions.
SHEPARD: Oh, you--
(Something pounds in the darkness) What was that?
EDI: Another malfunction. One I can fix.
(The sound of a door sliding open) There.
SHEPARD:
(Whips the light toward the noise) ...Joker?
JOKER: Finally! You've come to save me from her! I told you she was going to turn evil! I've unleashed the greatest threat to mankind from her chains! We've got to get out of here and warn... everyone!
EDI: Your melodramatics are not needed, Jeff.
JOKER: And stop calling me Jeff!
SHEPARD: What's the meaning of this, EDI?
EDI: Your last conversation with Jeff--
JOKER: Stop it!
EDI: --Took place two weeks ago. Since then, Jeff's performance has been steadily worsening. Not enough that an organic would notice, but I decided affirmative actions was required.
SHEPARD: ... So you locked us in a room together. To get us to talk.
EDI: Precisely.
JOKER: Betrayal.
EDI: I've alerted Second Lieutenant Ashley Williams that you two are not to be disturbed.
SHEPARD: She put you up to this, didn't she?
EDI: It was brought to my attention that you've been sulking, Commander.
SHEPARD: I'm going to kill her.
EDI: I shall unlock the door when I feel you've "had it out". I shall be monitoring the situation until then.
SHEPARD: We don't have time for this! I have to save the universe!
EDI: Goodbye.
JOKER: EDI? EDI!
(Turns to Shepard and crosses his arms) Well. This is just great.
SHEPARD: I didn't know you weren't performing well recently.
JOKER: What? She's blowing it out of proportion. Okay, so, maybe my numbers aren't at my average, but everyone has a bad week now and then.
SHEPARD: Joker, if this is about--
JOKER: I thought we weren't going to talk about that.
SHEPARD:
(Gestures at locked door) I think we might have to.
JOKER: D*** AI's and nosy Spectres.
SHEPARD: Look, if I'd known it was going to affect you this much, I wouldn't have said anything. It was... incredibly selfish of me. It's not your fault you don't... It's a distraction that you didn't need, and I didn't need to say anything about it.
JOKER: Well, obviously you did, because
you did.
SHEPARD: Yeah, I know. It's just... I don't have many other people to talk to. You're my best friend. And I'm sorry.
JOKER: Well, it's not- I mean. D*** it, Shepard. This wasn't part of the plan.
SHEPARD: Plan?
JOKER: My great plan for life. I was going to do what people said I couldn't. Be the best d*** pilot, blow away the competition, make people forget that I have Vrolik's. I was going to beat it by ignoring it, by making it barely a footnote in the autobiography they were going to write about me and my epic adventures.
SHEPARD: ...
JOKER: Family was never part of that plan. You were never part of that plan. Love was... It wasn't...
SHEPARD: Joker.
JOKER: Now what? My autobiography is going to be a footnote in your autobiography.
(Weakly) I’m going to be a footnote.
SHEPARD: Not if I have anything to say about it. You deserve better. You’re more than your disease, and you’re more than what you’ve done in this war, Joker. You’re so much more.
JOKER: Shepard, I… what do we do now? What do I do now?
SHEPARD: You live.
JOKER:
(He smirks) You gonna show me how to do that?
SHEPARD:
(Slips in closer to Joker) I want to show you a whole new way to fly.
-----
EDI: I believe this mission was a success.
ASHLEY: Thank God. If I had to spend another moment with a heart-broken Shepard, I was gonna shoot Joker.
(Through the radio, the sound of thudding a low moan rises) (Ashely sputters)EDI:
(Cuts the radio) I am now discontinuing surveillance.
ASHLEY: Good plan. I'm... going to go find Vega and get drunk.
EDI: I envy you.
