Yeah, some people just don't. Like I don't feel any actual chemistry with Garrus beyond "you're my biffle let's hit the pads and beat crap up."

I also don't think there's any chemistry between Joker and EDI beyond "Hur hur it's funny to imply I'm flirting with the ship, now let's stop before someone gets worried." EDI also seems like ship mommy, and looks out for the crew as such, including Joker.

...but look at me not knowing what I'm talking about, apparently. XD

Yeah I don't really feel the Garrus or Tali romances either, but ehhh. I think my favourite ones so far have been the three ME1 ones, Miranda and Thane. We'll see what ME3 serves up.

I can see the Tali one...the whole "eager young quarian girl" thing is adorable. Lol. But I'm not a fan of the way they did the Garrus one...and he's one of my favorite characters. Maybe I'm just biased because I see him as my bro.

I loved Thane's romance...it's so tender and tragic. I actually made my canonShep for him...then Kaidan happened. XD I like Kaidan/Ash, Thane, Tali, and Liara's romances the best. I think Joker would be my favorite if he ever became one, though...he's always held a special place for me and my canonShep.

I think I don't like the Tali one for the same reason I wouldn't like the Joker one. My DudeSheps are more of an older brother to Tali rather than view her as a romantic partner. I think its because I like the notion of two equal partners rather than the eager-young-crush and older-protector-hero dynamic that is set up between Tali and Shep.

See, that's how I feel with Liara. She is like my Shepard's "younger" sister in a sense, I can never get past that like Sky can't see Garr-bear as anyone other than her bro. (Whereas I still giggle like a schoolgirl when Garrus comes on screen.) I tried making a Shepard for Liara, and it just didn't work for me. I had him go for Tali, and that felt better for him. He likes the perky and slightly abrasive nerdy girls.

The majority of my Shepards see Joker as their best friend/bro. One other sees potential, and the next really wants to jump his bones. Gently, of course. I most definitely see chemistry, both platonic or romantic, between Shepard and Joker.

From my experience, it seems like it's mostly just women that want Jokermance. It's good to see that the fans are varied.

It's just that many people just clumps us all together as "fangirls", good and bad.
That's why I think it's great to see men showing their support for Jokermance

I play as dudeshep aswell, and have no problem with that. Sometimes I play games only as female (Skyrim and Fallout 3 for example), somtimes only as male (Morrowind and Pokémon). And then there's games where I try out both genders (Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect).
My boyfriend also play as a female character alot. He says it's because they're smaller targets. But I think he just rather stare at a woman's behind for hours than a man's behind. Why I think that is because I've only seen him play as female if it's TPS |:I

Ok guys and gals, I just watched the "everybody dies" ending of ME2 on youtube (I never got it myself). Reading into the dialogue I have this to say: Shepard is dangling off the Normandy and tells Joker to get out. Joker's response? "You're not doing this to me again." Joker has some kind of feelings for Shepard. Friendship, loyalty, affection whatever. There are feelings there, for both ManShep and FemShep, and I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to read that line and the way it was said in a romantic way. But that's just me.

I played mostly as male in Fallout: New Vegas because of the Confirmed Bachelor perk... Free repairs and not having to do the "Come fly with me" quest if you don't feel like it

Many Jokerites feels the same about Joker's line at the everybody dies ending.
I think it's possible that it can be due to friendship and/or affection.
I'm sure that if one of the other LI would be in the same position as Joker they would say about the same thing. It's very painful to lose a friend, that you may or may not have romantic feelings for, but it's even more painful if they die right in front of you and you couldn't do anything to save them, just to have them come back two years later and die again.

Thank you guys I will stay in touch with this thread, because I really like idea of Joker as a LI. I love his beard, baseball cap, his sense of humor and his voice (I'm voice fetishist xD) And I would be veeery pleased to romance him, and I don't think about physical intercourses, sex isn't the most important thing in relationship. Joker and Shepard are bounded with strong, friendship threads and it's really visible.

Anyway, haven't we forgot about something? x3
