I wish they'd tell us already. Part of me was ok with it being a surprise...now i just wanna know. I'm thinking of just giving my number to the 1st person who plays a Jokermance hopeful so they can text me an answer asap. That'll decide the order of chars I play.

I want to know too. I'm actually a bit conflicted if I should cancel my pre-order for a collector's edition and just get a normal copy because I'm not sure it's going to be as epic as I hope it will be.
How would you people react if they announced that there would be Jokermance in ME3? And how would you react if they said there wasn't going to be a romance with our favourite pilot?

If they announced it was in the game, I'd be quite happy. A little conflicted on who to play first (FShep/Garrus, or my Single Shep for Joker), but very happy.

If not... disappoint, Bioware. I is disappoint. I certainly won't rage!quit, but there will be that teary eyed 'awww' moment.

I know! I finally finished with Annabel's PT - she's holding out for Joker. All that work...it HAS to pay off!

BTW: Love your avatar. XD Because if there is no Jokermance, direct intervention WILL be necessary!

Don't cancel! You get cool stuff! ...Sorry. I like stuff. XD

How would I react? Well, if they released the LIs and Joker was one of them, I'd call all my ME friends and squee and scream with them.

If Joker wasn't a romance, I'd honestly cry. A little bit at least, mainly in frustration. I honestly believe Joker is a diamond in the rough considering a possible romance.

If Joker is available, then I'd move my Quinn playthrough up to 2nd and cry tears of joy and infinite happiness

If he isn't....I just hope we get a chance to grow closer in friendship with him. He'll still be Quinn's best friend and unrequited love. Oh, and I'll cry tears of infinite sadness...don't put me through that, BioWare, please! lol

If Joker is one of the LIs, I will probably squee very loudly and start laughing hysterically out of happiness.

If not, I'll be really sad.

I'll find out which on my first playthrough, I just started a new Shepard on ME1 and I'll take her through both games in the next 2 weeks before ME3 so she's ready on release day. Hopefully she won't end up foreveralone. :/

If he's not...I will be disappointed at the wasted potential, and will probably delete my save file for MacKenzie, who I made specifically for Joker. It just feels like if the game won't let her be with who she should be with, I will keep her permanently in my head.

This. Annabel was made for Joker and Joker alone. No Joker romance? She'll stay in my head. Doesn't feel right for her to go through an entire PT when her interest isn't available.

But she's also my Subject Zero - she is going to be my first Shepard I play to see if there IS a Jokermance. So...good luck, Bel. I'm rooting for you. Hard.

You are a braver soul than I. Mac still hasn't gotten to Eden Prime. I initially created her for a different romance path entirely but my characters take on lives of thier own once their faces get made and Mac just looked at me in the opening cut-scene, pointed at Joker and said "That guy - me and him are gonna be best buds."

And I said "Really? That guy? I mean he's funny and everything but..."

And she said. "Yes, that guy. We're gonna go through a lot together. And it's gonna give us a pretty solid friendship. And then I'm gonna get wierd squishy feelings for him and it's gonna freak me out. Deal with it. Now go play as a different me until you know for sure this is gonna work out. And write about it!"

So I listened. Mac is being saved until I know that Joker is a sure thing. And I'm writing a Mac/Joker fic (link in my sig for first chapter) and hoping like mad it actually plays out. Because as much as I can provide it with my own imagination, I'd like for the possibility of a romatic relationship between Shepard (of any gender) and Joker to exist in the game, because I think there is so much potential there. And if I can't get it in the game, I don't want to play that character through to the end, because it will always feel like something in her life isn't quite right.

I'd actually like to play through a forever-alone Shep just for amusement but I don't have the patience to ignore romances plots through three games I don't think.

But I don't play video games because they're like real life. I get enough real life IN my real life. I play video games to be the all-conquering badass of the *insert appropriately large locale here*. (Or, you know, the Sims).

I have a handful of Sheps. None of them are romancing the same person. They're all romancing the person they chose. (I know that might sound strange, but as I said before, they sort of become their own people, the intentions I had for them don't always play out). If I reach a point where I can't make a decision that suits a Shep's character, they stall out. I've deleted almost as many Sheps as I've finished because they didn't feel right. For Mac not to be able to romance Joker won't feel right. So if there is no Jokermance (and I am truly grasping all the straw at this point) Mac will get deleted.

I'll still play the game with all of my other Sheps, and I'll probably enjoy the game with them all. But Mac will end up a sort of "What could have been" character, because I wanted something that the game wouldn't allow her to do. And I'll be a little disappointed that I didn't get the opportunity.

And now I'm off to think happy thoughts...

I'd be so happy if it turns out Joker is romance-able. I have a fairly long history of not being able to romance the character I like in games, particularly Bioware games, going all the way back to Baldur's Gate 2, so I really hope that I don't have to add Joker to that list

I'm only teasing, I promise. I understand what you're saying - sometimes real life does get in the way, and it sucks. But as Meggers said, most of us don't play video games to experience real life. I have enough real life, and it's quite overwhelming. If BioWare decides to add a dash of real life considering Joker, I will be sad because as many of us have said: he has so much potential as a romance. It also kind of hits home with me a little because I'm sooooooo much like him. Despite that, if BioWare just wants Joker to be another Varric, I'll embrace it as gracefully as I can. Platonic relationships are sweet.

 That video was awesome. As much as I disagree with spite-dating, that could be pretty funny.

And it does get quiet in here during the week, probably because 1) It's the week and people are busy, 2) There are fewer regular contributors to this thread than some larger threads (eg: Kaidan) and 3) If no comment comes to mind with the current posts, and nobody says anything for say 6-8 hours, then people who can't think of comments won't be posting either, so there are no new posts, and so it continues.

In other news, I'm working on Chapter 2 of my Shoker fic. And by working on I mean it's still in the theory phase of development. If anyone is interested in Beta-ing for that I'd really appreciate it. Currently the action is still in ME1 so I'm not expecting it to be particularly spoilerific.
