Ok seriously? Is he for sure out of our grasp? I seriously had my heart set out on Joker. I really did. Now I am facing the choice between Kaidan and Garrus if Joker is not available. Any help here? If not wanting to post spoilery stuff just pm me or whatver. Really want to hope that he is somehow available.

We don't know for absolute certain if Joker is an LI. Some people are sure he isn't, some are hoping for the best. The leak back in November had scripts which had no hint of a Joker romance. BioWare said a few times that the scripts were a rough draft - I believe them, at least I hope they're telling the truth. There are just too many tweets or clues pointing towards a possible Joker Romance, at least in my opinion. (Check the OP for the tweets.) Seth Green said we were going to be really happy; another tweeter said they were going to romance Joker, and Seth Green tweeted back: "Be careful, he has glass bones. " Of course he can't outright deny a romance, but that still gives me hope.

If that means I'll be bawling like a baby if there is no romance, then so be it. XD I want more LI options for FemShep. I'm not attracted to eternal blue women, so I need some eye candy. I love Garrus, and Kaidan is a possibility for one of my Shepards and I hope Vega is an option. (Zaeed too.) But I made one of my Shepards specifically for Joker...I really want him for a romance option.

I still blame this thread for making me hope for this. XD

I concur and hopefully it will be granted. I love the idea of him being a LI. If he is not then I agree there will be tears and anger but I will move on...T_T hopefully I won't have to though. Thank you for your response phantom and those tweets look promising.

There is a similar hurricane of anxiety going on in the Vega thread right now.  I won't spoil anything, but let's just say that there is a lot of angry/confused/hopeful/ people 'round.  I'll say the same thing here as I did there, I am really sure that there will be some romantic dialogue with Joker, but whether the game will consider him a 'true' LI, that is, an LI who is also a companion (Garrus, Liara, Tali, Kaiden/Ashley), is still very unclear.  


I consented that if he was a 'partial' LI, like Kelly Chambers or Sebastian in DA2, it would not be what I expected, but if they instead choose to make the relationship between Joker and Shepard concentrate more on emotional feelings and sentimentallity rather than physical ones, I think this would be still great. 

This is backed by my understanding of Bioware's term for 'LI' in ME3 which I take as having a relationship with a companion, but also perhaps including more than dialogue (like dates and sexytimes).

 
For Joker, of course, this would not occur as the prospect of a romantic relationship with him would at the beginning of the game, so largely, the interation between the two would be mostly that of dialogue, (which, if done correctly, could have the potential of being amazing!) but perhaps ending, near the finale, with a passionate kiss or something along those lines before facing the final enemy.  



Then perhaps in the epilogue it is alluded to that Joker and Shepard lived happily ever after <3



And now I have diabetes, but I don't care--totally worth it.

Hearing Joker's voice in the demo made me yell like a fangirl, but then I saw the Normandy and I was like "nope, I'm romancing the Normandy. She's my baby."

But then Joker talked again, and I almost died of happiness.

And I agree with the bolded part. No bumping uglies? That's fine! All romantic dialog? I'd still be a puddle on the floor. I was a puddle reading Pride and Prejudice. XD

Well intentioned spoilers ahead:

The leak scripts been confirmed as being 99%+ accurate by someone who had a basically complete build of the final game at the end of January.

And I didn't forget about Garrus or James.

If you're a playing as Femshep and killed Kaiden, you're only choices for romance you can START in 3 are the half dozen women available. Hell, Femshep has more woman to pick from than Maleshep!

My second favourite Shepard, who I put a great deal of effort into creating was primarily for what I thought was the 'obvious' Joker romance I was certain was going to be in 3. I'm frankly really pissed off about it not apparently being there.

I mean yeah, there is a microscopically smally chance one wasn't ready at the end of January, and was one of the last things to be put in th game, but odds are, the closest any of us are going to get to the best human male romance option possible in this game is our Shepards hitting on him, getting turned down, then watching him bang a robot.

I'm not a happy bunny over this. It's the thing I hate most from ME3, after the bollocks endings.

I actually hadn't seen that, kinda wish I haven't. Sexy, chrome and robotic seems like an oxymoron. That effectively kills any support I had for their romance because I really don't want to see Joker humping steel.
