Please don't discuss any spoilers here. Even though it's optional to click on a link, it still counts as spreading spoilers, and this is a spoiler free thread.

So once again, with feeling. Noo spoilers, or I will tell Phantom that you told spoilers and I'm sure she will come up with something good
Usually BSN is my happy place because it's here I get to be a gamer-nerd. And I am happy, I wish there was a way for me to get my hands on the game right now. I would not stop playing until I was out of food here at home pretty much. What does it feel like walking around in my Normandy, how is my robotic dog doing? I have waited so long to see Joker, Kaidan and all of them again, what will happen now. I'm giddy with excitement =) so keep it calm. The sky isn't falling.
cya in a few days =)

It was very hard to resist his jokes and his sexy beard >_<
Than I played ME2 and I was totally absorbed in thoughts about Joker as a LI...He came back for Shepard it means he will always with her in joy and in sorrow.Damn it! They have so many things which connect them.
U know...I have nothing bad about new characters(LI) in ME3 but hey. What about Joker?I even imaged Joker jumping in front of Bioware with words "Maybe u will give me some Shepard love ?"
Ok Shepard met really interesting handsome character in ME3 of course fall in love with him/her...
But Jeff...I try not to feel sadly... to be optimistic.Their story began from ME1 when Shepard hasn't been a hero.Than she died for him,it can't be ignored. ME3 will be the end of Shepard's story. It's the last chance.
Sorry for lots of words and for my poor English but I just can't keep silence anymore
I'm really scary =(

I think I started to like him a bit in to ME1, when I'd heard some of his dialouge.

I loved Joker the moment I met his character in ME1. I thought he was very funny and an awesome character. It wasn't until I read a fanfic several months back that made me realize how great a Shepard/Joker romance would be. I wish I could remember who the author was, or what the title was. lol It was great and I became a huge fan!
That's how it went for me too. The one I read was a bit lemony, but it was beautifully written.
Seriosly, if Joker was romanceable, I would be torn, just like I was in DAO
Zevran or Alistair. Garrus or Joker.

hahaha I have 3 FemSheps just for that reason. One is with Garrus, one if with Thane, and one will be getting back with Kaiden. If Joker become available for romance I will have to make another FemShep.

What was it that made you become a Joker fangirl/boy?
Ok so I may have answered why I am a Joker fangirl more than why I became one, but I don't remember what the first reason was so here we go...
1) In the opening scene of Mass Effect 1 (and most of his dialogue thereafter) he is incredibly irreverant. Here we are on a prototype future spaceship, and buddy is making jokes about how he remembers to zip his fly after going to the washroom. If everyone's fine after the mission, he makes jokes about the danger of the mission.
2) The flip side of that is that he is not a one-dimensional clown. He can be serious. When you first get the footage of the Eden Prime attack, during and after Virmire, during the Ilos run and at a couple of points in ME2 Joker proves that even if he plays up the snarky pilot persona, he has feelings. He can be deadly serious, he can be angry, he can be concerned, he can grieve. He is not a one trick pony. He is a real, complicated person
3) He is an incrdibly dedicated/driven person. Not saying that the other characters aren't, but Joker has an affliction which makes it very difficult to walk. He still managed to graduate top of his class and is acknowledged to be one of the best, if not the best pilot in the Alliance? I know this, not because he said so, but because Anderson hand-picked the crew of the prototype Normandy SR-1 and Joker was his choice of pilot. It says something about his skills that a very experienced N7 Captain would chose him.
4) He is willing to say "Screw the Rules. I'm Doing What's Right." He left the Alliance for Cerberus. Yes he says it's because Cerberus let him fly, but I think that's him being flippant. If you speak to him after Virmire, he sates his determination to continue the fight against Saren. I believe that after Shepard's death, he knew that the fight wasn't over, and he wanted to keep fighting, despite what the official government line was. If you speak to him after the Collecter attack, after he is finished venting at Shepard he reaffirms that he is ready to keep fighting. Taking on the Reapers has become as much his fight as it has been Shepards.
5) He is a physically attractive dude. Seriously. He has gorgeous green eyes, like, I could stare into them all day gorgeous. Like I've seen emeralds less pretty gorgeous. He has a cute smile/smirk. Watch the scene when Anderson unlocks the Normandy in ME1 right before Ilos and tell me that look he has when he starts powering up is not seriously sexy stuff. He has adorable scruff. I blame Harrison Ford (Han Solo/Indiana Jones) for this one, I have a serious weakness for scruffy men. Rabbitzoro hasn't helped by giving him chest hair and a treasure trail. Seriously, if I ever see him without his shirt and that's what he looks like I will go weak in the knees. And he has a very expressive voice. Thanks to Seth Green, he can snark, he can be angry, he can be upset, all that stuff, realistically. In short he's easy on the eyes and the ears.
For those who think TL;DR: He's physcially attractive and has a rockin' personality.

Saw some things that I really agreed with
Not really into hairy chests, but "treasure trails" I approve of. Here in Sweden we call them "Raggar string"
Don't really know how to translate that to english :/

After watching the first seen with Joker in ME with my friend
Me: *points to Joker on screen* I like that one.

Most of that is why I (and probably everyone else, too) love him.

De-lurks, I've been following this thread for almost a month now just watching reactions and such. Big Shoker fan (cuz who else can put up with shep like joker can?) and just wanted to say that I became a Joker fan simply because he is snarky and sarcastic and so much like a real person. His emotions, reactions and personality depth has me totally drawn in watching to see what happens to him. In the end I just plain adore him.... Also his robot dance in me2 with legion's loyalty mission made me grin.

Lol, yup, amd vice versa. No one better at putting up with them than oneanother. I SMELL FATE!!! XD
So, anyways, for the first time (via the YouTube) I saw the scene in ME2 when Shepard fails the suicide mission and I practically died!!!! I cried, and I felt a connection there, damn it! IT WAS MEANT TO BEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
