I was so irked when I realized that they just teased us with Joker like they teased us with Vega. I actually had almost finished Kara's playthrough in ME2 when I ran one of my other Sheps through 3 and got that whole 'regs' shut down from our favorite pilot. Why am I stuck writing fanfic for romances that BioWare won't give us? I say romances, plural, because I'm also starting to work on a Shep/Vega fic as well. It's because of this that I'm actually having a hard time getting back into writing Lost and Found because I was just so let down over the situation. I'm actually more upset over this than I am over the endings that had me scratching my head and going "wtf?" y'know?

Ehh well, guess I'll just work on my Garrus romance playthrough and giggle over popping heat-sinks (still in ME2 for this girl). I'm so hoping that the picture that Yunaito88 drew for me of Kara and Joker didn't get the devs thinking that we were wanting EDI/Joker (since too many thought Kara was EDI due to the blonde hair - trying to make her out to be like Tricia Helfer instead of who she's actually created after - Katie Sackhoff's Starbuck character).

I agree with you it felt like a cop out. Really Joker..REALLY!
I'm ok with him dating Edi as long as I can date him too.( not at the same time lol)
It just felt like they put salt into the wound when they tease you like that.

yeah i feel so depressed about there not being a actual joker romance. i go to play my Mia Shepard but then when i go to start her off i look over at her summed bio stayed single in ME, stayed single in ME2 then i get sad and reminded that I can't have joker and I can't even have Vega to make up for it.

They teased us, then they were like hey at least he considered it that should be good enough but be knownst to them my shepard would drop her rank and her alliance uniform to be with joker >_> then to put even more salt in the wound they had him go "WHAT ABOUT ME AND EDI" i twitched and i was like really? REALLY!? i encouraged it because i was playing my kaidan shepard at the time so it didn't matter.

But why couldn't they have just give us a chance to get with joker and if some one didn't want to get with him THEN he gets with edi like how Garrus gets with tali if you don't romance him? i am so upset, so sad and depressed, and the board and this thread shows how depressed us Jokermancers are we asked for one simple thing and it wouldn't have been that hard but not only do we not get what we wanted since ME but we also get a sucky ending that gives us no resolution to any thing

umm this is sticll technically a fan thread i think, and i know they appreciate any appreciation you have for joker  just some of us fangirls are little bit upset over well.. the obviouse so that may be the topic of descusion from time to time, though i think the title should be changed.....

SilentK: I think the first one is more fitting. But I'm not a "regular" here so take it as you will. Anyway Joker...

I think he's come full circle as a fully fleshed out character. Don't get me wrong, he was great in all three games. But looking back now I feel like for the most part we only saw one aspect of him per game.

ME1: The tragic side- all he talked about was his disease.
ME2: Perhaps overcompensating for 1, he had a joke for just about every situation. Very funny, but apart from after the Collector attack I don't think we get to see what he's really feeling.

And then there's ME3 which I think finally gives us the whole. He doesn't always have a funny quip (which threw me off at first) and I think you get to see more into his head. Oh and the after Thessia argument: totally one of the most natural dialogue options I've seen yet. It made perfect sense for Shepard to get pissed at Joker then. Joker's response was dead on (and that thing about "Anderson said to take care of you"- brilliant.) And then later, getting to apologize, that was damn good writing. These were people talking not animated characters with voiceovers.

And then there's the romance... I won't be making any friends here with this one I'm sure. But I really liked the Joker-EDI pairing. I feel for those of you that wanted to romance Joker (not my thing but hey). I wish there was a way you could get your request. But I think the pairing was pulled off exceptionally well. I think the whole thing with them was epitomizing life as well as bringing organic and synthetic together. And they're the only ones that noticeably benefited from the green "ending". I had no problems with it in ME2 because I predicted this type of character growth for EDI, into a real person and not just a machine. But ME3 knocked it out of the park and I'm genuinely happy for them.

Should I start running?

I think that we really haven't decided what to do yet, or that's my guess so far. I guess that I just miss the old EDI a bit. This is a great plot-line to get your player to care for someone synthetic in case you dislike the Geth. And a new player get some introduction to the synthetics before the quarians and the Geth, we also get a new tech-member. So yes, I can see why they did it.

Agree that the convo with Joker after Thessia is so great! I just love it! You can really feel how stressed out people on the Normandy are at this point.

And with time things will change with the OP as well, I just don't have the time to do it right now. Also don't want to mess with the great OP that Phantom wrote before there is something good add.

It's easy to get stuck on moping over a LI-lost, but we should be better than that. This should not be the sad-thread, or I hope so at least.

And this below isn't Joker-related but it's so adorable that you have to hear it. Mording singing about the a krogan queen. I missed it.

I'm sure she would get a laugh out of it after everyone in the party berated her entire species for withholding technology while they were UNDER ATTACK by Reapers!

I'm sorry, but this was just wrong. And the fact that the Paragon option has Shepard thank him for it in the end is just insulting. I guess Paragons have a humerous side for innocents dying.

SilentK: Thanks for supporting my support:wizard:. But... you said you were going to name the thread one thing and it's something different. What happened? Anyway. Joker's great. I have to go now. But I will leave a little thought here for people to chew on till I return.

Completely ignoring the RGB failure some call the end, I had many adventures planned for the gang in my head. One random thought that stuck out on more than one occasion is Joker and Kasumi eventually getting to know each other... yeah.

Thoughts?

Edit: Of course this was before Joker-EDI. I'm cool with that pairing and wouldn't deliberately break it. But if EDI were to disappear... if she got killed or sacrificed herself like Legion. Then that might apply.

Last night I had some reallly good Joker-moments. Went to talk to the quarians, Joker taking in the Normandy next to that Geth-ship was a great bit. Felt like a war-movie and some really nice dialouge going in. After some good old shooting at stuff and making things go boom I ended the evening with punching a quarian adrmial really  hard. Boy did that one have it coming, and it was great to be able to talk to Joker about it

Joker: So, are we ok with people firing at a ship when you're still inside?
FemShep: No we are not!!

Great gaming-evening. Loved the build-up and convos with Joker and it was so good to be able to react to how irritated I was at that quarian.
Awesome stuff!! 


And yes, this time I'll change to the thread to what I said I would change it to    =)


Ohh.. I haven't gotten to the Joker-salute yet, but looking forward to it already   =)

Ok, anyone who knows me knows how hardcore of a Joker fan I am - got 15 chapters of a story with him and one of my Fem Sheps done, working on more... but I can't stop laughing at that vid.  I actually laughed myself into an asthma attack over it.  And I'm still laughing...

One of my Shepards wanted to kill him in ME2 for not following orders and getting her spaced.  She was rude to him in 2 and again in 3.
