I'm curious, those of you who created a Shep for a Joker romance, what is s/he like?

Commander Charlotte Shepherd is a war hero/colonist. She hates mercs and tries her hardest to save innocents from the horrors she went through following her abduction from the colony of Minoen (is that how you spell it?) she sacrificed Ash on Vermire because she thought she had something for Kaiden. Furious she had let her emotions get in the way of her better judgment, she views Kaiden as a living tribute to her failure to put others before herself and has been harsh on him ever since (she's not perfect ok). Her views tend to be short term and she often rushes into things without thinking about the long term consequences of her actions. She saved the workers rather than help Zaeed take down Vido Sandiargo and refused to help Mordin for his involvement in the geno****e. She was especially horrified at what Cerberus did to Jack and sided with her in her clashes with Miranda. She cares very much for her crew and puts their lives before her own. When her crew was taken by the collectors she rushed strait to the Omega 4 relay despite a slight lack of preparation. She saved the entire crew, but her squad suffered several casualties. She showed some initial distrust for Thane at first but cut him some slack after helping him find his son. She had a superficial relationship with Kelly Chambers. Joker has always made her laugh and she was very touched that he stayed loyal to her after the destruction of the original normandy. He reminds her of her brother who was killed when she was abducted, she cared for him very much. She goes out of her way to make sure Jokers happy, and appreciates his exemplary piloting skills.

I had the same problem two days ago - then I received an email from Bioware with a new link to set a new password and now it works again. It seems as if they had for security reason changed several passwords (also I never had a NWN or other forum account).

This is true but many of his fans would like to have him as romance option in ME3 and to display this the current thread title is pretty obvious.

But I like your proposed thread title as well - maybe we could change it to "We were your team, Commander - Joker ME3 romance and fan thread." or something similar so that it is stil clear that we wish to get the romance option in ME3.

But romance option or not we all want more Joker in ME3 <3

Wow you and the others have really well thought personalities created for your Shepards. I wasn't aware that we have so many real role-players here

I am really impressed that you made the decisions that fits to your Shepards personality - I find this quite hard and even with different playthroughs I tend to make decisions that I think are right,  but not from the perspective of my Shepards....but I am currently trying to change this.

Ah and the name of the colony is Mindoir.

@Eliantariel, I do the exact thing - I tend to role-play myself, so to speak. And I have real troubles of playing renegade Shep, because it just feel so wrong to me.

Anyway, I noticed that people sometimes have dreams about ME. Well, I had one yesterday, but I'm hesitant to share it. Let's just say than it involved Joker, a leather seat and a lot of omni-gel. The rest I leave for your imagination

My favourite one I was sat in the copilot's chair and we just talked about stuff. That was it. :>

Do you guys want me to change it to that? I'll come back hopefully tomorrow but otherwise I'll change it as soon as I have a computer again.

Love reading of how people roleplay their shepards. I'm currently playing with her so she isn't all planned out yet. She is my spacer, warhero who will be less of a badass and more of a girl scout. Nice and kind as a person but a fury in the field, people who meet her can underestimate her until they see her in action. My last FemShep was the ultimate badass so this will be fun. So far Joker is more of a friend to her, she has feeling for Kaidan but she will send him away before Ilos, trying to be the good soldier and follow all the rules. She let the Rachni live, because they should be given the chance to try again and she truly believes that they will be a good ally one day. I'm less than 100 % on that one, hmmmm. So far things have pretty much always worked out, I see Virmire being a relly rough time for her. But all of that is in the future, she hasn't even gotten around to saving Liara yet. I always make plans for them, write down their decisions and how they got to that conclusion. But it's not always they turn out as I planned =) which is part of the fun.

I've had a few ME-dreams recently. Think I miss my game-time being far away from all such things. I was with Garrus and Tali in the reaper that the TIM sends Shepard to when it's revealed that the collectors are in fact protheans (or what's left of them). That was quite exciting =) Joker urges the party to get a move on and I suddenly realise that I forgot to put in my contacts and can't see one foot before me. Less good in a fire-fight. Good thing I got Tali and Garrus to haul me out of there.

@SilentK: I don't really think the name of the thread needs to be changed. It's short, simple, and sweet. Gets more newcomers to notice us. Maybe a stronger quote. We'll think of something if people want it changed!

It is not that I want the thread title to be changed - the "we were your team" line is very nice and emotional but the current thread title is fine for me too.

But I think if the title is going to be changed, the word "romance" should be kept so that fans know that we will discuss this in this thread too (beside the general Joker awesomeness).

And I take the opportunity to have so much time left until ME3 comes out to work on my femsheps. I wasn't quite happy with them but now I know why: I wasn't playing them as they would handle the situation and now I am trying to change this. I was always afraid that if I switch between paragon and renegade that I don't have enough points at the end for the Legion-Tali and Miranda-Jack fight to solve so that I keep all loyal but know I don't care - if people die later it was kind of sh*** happens.

I am curious about the banter that we will see between the crew/squadmates. I suppose with Ashley/Kaidan back on board there will be some discussion between them and Joker.

I hope they will explain what happened in the months between Arrival and beginning of ME3. Shep and the Normandy seem to be grounded for some months as the Normandy is repaired/renewed/changed...

As former members of Cerberus I think the complete crew will be arrested by the alliance. I am wondering how Joker gets his job back - sure he is the best pilot and nobody knows the ship better than him but he got grounded once after the destruction of the first Normandy and in the meantime he was working with a terrorist organisation.

What do you think how will they explain this? Did Shepard or Anderson or Hackett something to get Joker back to the Normandy?

@SilentK, I have a similar plan for my Joker-only Shepie, except mine is a colonist (I don't know why, but I like this origin the best, even though I think a spacer would be better for Jeff). As to the title: I like to keep it nice and simple, but as Eliantariel said, I'd highlight somehow that we also discuss other things than romance.

@Eliantariel: I don't think it's possible to arrest the whole Normandy crew, because they didn't commit any crime. Cerberus is indeed very shady organization, but the membership itself is not punishable (correct me if I'm wrong).
I hope we'll get more details to fill in blank spaces between the games, not just generic "the squad dispersed".
In my point of view, it's not likely they'd punish Joker. It was the Alliance who rejected him after ME1 in the first place and they should be glad to have the best damn pilot in the galaxy back in their ranks as far as I'm concerned.

I just had a dream last night where I was Commander Shepard as well, and Joker was there and we were fighting our way up a tower thing and there were little kids running around everywhere. |: Also there was a crypt in the middle of the tower with Loghains body in it wearing aviators.

And I was dating Anders at the time. |: Idk.



...I am still confused.

I love how well developed she is! I like to develop personalities for Shep, but they aren't usually as in-depth as that. The personal history of Shep ties in marvellously (that's one reason I like playing Colonist in combination with Ruthless). And the decisions all fit her personality too, which I sometimes have a hard-time doing (I always did Mordin's loyalty mission, despite it clashing with some of my Sheps' anti-genophage moral stances. A character who is a good person but flawed is so much more believable than a perfect character.

Im actually  planning on working on a single FemShep for me3 for joker. Joker is the only other guy I would absolutely love. Garrus comes first in my heart but Joker is just about tied with him. Joker was always there. Love that guy.
Though curious - what if i just break up with the LI in one of my playthroughs, would save me the time going at it again for joker? XDDD Wow, Thats so cruel. I bet they would remember the break up in me3. Wouldnt they? hmmmmm.

I dont buy the - Joker cant be romanced because he's "fragile" or he's "with EDI". Cute.....but no! He needs Shepard! lol!

I am also very impressed with how much thought everyone has put in their Shepards. RPGs are a writer's crack. There are so many ways to develop your character, it's pretty amazing. No wonder I want to work in video games.

I dont LOVE him. And I consider him one of my LEAST favorite characters, but i still like him. I kept him alive in me2 to see how he'll "redeem" himself in me3.....hopefully

Honestly though, I want some opinions. Who would you prefer to make the first move: Joker or Shepard? ;D
Obviously its going to be Shepard, but dropping subtle hints that dont make it that obvious that we're hitting on him and he makes a move as a result? Similar to Thane. Shep just dropped subtle hints, and in turn Thane was the one who confessed that he developed feelings for her. I want more of this in me3. Where characters fall in love with Shep - then the usual Shep throwing herself practically onto people at first XP

I actually really like that scenario! I also like the scenario where Joker has had feelings for Shep for a while, and is just afraid to admit it to protect the friendship, or to not get in the way if Shep desires to go back to Kaidan/Ashley.
