Yeah.. the FemShep who ended up with Traynor after being dumped by Jacob could very well have ended up with Joker. Hmm... and truthfully, I really don't see her as the greatest flirt, or too good at reading other people's intentions. It basically has to be something pretty obvious like Traynor's scene for her to get the drift.

If it had been possible to have a convo with something like, perhaps Joker realising his feeling for FemShep right before the big boss-battle so to speak, would you have waited for that? No "fade-to-black". FemShep going by the bridge before leaving Normandy. Joker takes her hand and says something like "Come back to me, ok. You go down there and give them hell but then come back. I didn't mean it.. before. You just took me by surprise. Can we try again?". A epic smootch and then to the finale. Would you have waited for something along those lines?

Hells to the yeah.
Honestly though that seems like a major cop-out and would have liked to see something similar to that happen right after the On-foot-reaper-battle. You know the one right? That was reckless and even if you took your LI on that mission they say nothing about it to your face. I...actually haven't finished that mission I think I had to go back to ME2.

But I wrote a small comic about that yesterday actually, trying to imagine how it went down. 
But I mean...Yeah, hells yes. 

I know there was some talk over tumblr and other forums about a renegade or paragon option to provide that epic smooch right after the salute. 
Maybe before he grabs her hand or after, tell him that if it all goes to **** she'll be keeping an eye out for one of those alternate universes. Not to step on any of the Shakarian fans' toes but it seems appropriate. ):

And I am glad that this thread did not turn to a "I love EDI/Joker" thread in the meantime - it would have broke my heart.

I have no single playthrough yet where I did not turn the romance down and I can't see to encourage both with any Shepard, no matter how paragon my femshep is. EDI is the Normandy, and none of my Shepards would like to have an AI doing funny emotional experiments while controling the ship.

And Joker suddenly turning into a horny, creepy EDI fanboy and sadly reduced to an EDI support role to show how great she developed does not really help the case.

That said, I really miss the ME1 and ME2 Joker. He was awesome. And a good reason to replay both games.

Well, at least we have our headcanon. If Bioware does not want to give us Joker, we can make it happen anyways.

Oh and I love how Shepard can tell EDI to keep things slow as she is only 3 years or so old. Age may not be a matter for an AI but anyway, I have the feeling this romantic interest of EDI is more due to curiousity than actually having feelings. She even says to Shepard that she does not like thinks as humans, but she can have priorities/preferences - doesn't really sound like true emotions for me, but this is something that can be discussed until the end of time. And Jokers behaviour is more like being horny than actually being deeply in love. It just feels wrong. Just sad that we can't be more suspicious or worried about EDIs experiments with her own programming...

At least he's not ashamed about it, and he does sort of play it off as a bit of a joke. Doesn't EDI say something to Shepard about like "He likes having me around for morale."

Sounds like something Joker would say.

Still wish he had more to say to Shepard, instead of us having to talk THROUGH EDI to talk to Joker.

I think even I would be happy for the "sudden realization." I agree it's a bit of a cop-out, but it's something. And in the DLC, BioWare could add a scene or something of Shep and Joker embracing or kissing - something like that. I could see it.

I kinda think the full on Joker/EDI thing was a way to save money, which sucks because we've asked for a romance with the pilot since ME1. It's diappointing. There are plenty of scenes I could easily see Joker and Shep interacting intimately. Maybe it was planned just...decided against to save money.

I'm still disturbed from the pair going suddenly from a fun, platonic familial relationship to your standard fair of "gosh what a hot bod."

Still, a really heart felt sudden realization would be great. Like a really tense, long hug broken ribs be damned ya know.

- Who are you and what is your motivation?

We are fans of the Mass Effect franchise who were disappointed by the way the ending of Shepard's story was handled. We want to maximize the chances that fans will be satisfied by the Ending DLC. While many of us are Retake/HTL members, we do not claim to speak for the majority of either group.


- Retake has already won. What is the point of this?

While the production of a free Ending DLC is a step in the right direction, the announcement Bioware made was vague and could apply equally well to either a multi-hour playable extravaganza or a handful of epilogue slides stating things like: "ReaperGarrus lived for many happy days on Gilligan's planet before he finished consuming Tali's dead body and died of starvation." Our goal is to help Bioware get the funding it needs to produce the former.


- Why didn't you specify what a "satisfactory ending" is?

The fanbase is diverse and not everyone wants the same thing. (However, we suspect very few people will be moved to boycott Bioware if MORE CHOICES are provided.) Also, we trust that the company which made the Tuchanka missions is more than capable of pleasing the majority of fans if they internally peer-review their work. It is not our intent to demand specific plot points or outcomes. Bioware has over 600 pages of fan feedback and multiple polls to point them in the right direction.


- Why should I take part in Turn it On/Turn it Off?

If EA is presented with clear evidence that the quality of the Ending DLC will mean the difference between regaining supportive fans and driving away their customers, we believe they will finance a better product. It is imperative for people who can't currently bring themselves to replay the SP campaign to stand up and be counted instead of being written off as a "lost cause." Also, it's important that the "wait and see" crowd make their voices heard now while we still have time to effect positive change. Finally, it's free and easy to do.


- Why are you trying to destroy Bioware?

We're not. We want them to make an Ending DLC that is worthy of the rest of the game and then reap the rewards of their success. To that end, many of us will encourage our friends who haven't played Mass Effect 3 to download the demo (http://masseffect.com/about/demo/) during Phase 1. We are more than willing to bring new customers to the franchise if the ending is fixed properly.

 I just finished reading the FanFic A Star to Steer Her By, a Joker/Shepard LI. I haven't really ever seen Joker as a Li, but woah, I can see it now! So dear Joker lovers, anyone wanna share more (hawt) Joker/Shepard with me?

You're in good company over here. Plenty of people here could see him as a LI. Not that one has to do so, in order to enjoy the amazing snarky pilot.

Did the Thessia-mission last night, this time FemShep got a little bit angry towards Joker for the first time, you know when he tells Shepard how Andersson asked Joker to keep an on Shepard. Make sure that he/she doesn't stress out. It's a really good scene. Poor Joker for having a bad tempered FemShep to deal with, just wanted to give him a hug.

Second FemShep is heading towards earth. She blew up at Joker after Thessia, happy that she got the opportunity to apologize. It was a nice little moment. Joker feels a bit more like the Joker I remember from before towards the later part of the game. Still haven't seen a scene I love quite as much as Joker making fun of Legion in ME2, but he has several little nice moments.
