What do you guys think the first thing Joker will say to Shepard is?

For who would make the first move? In a perfect world, I'd want Joker to pull a Tali and accidentally let it slip that he might have more-than-platonic feelings for Shepard, and from there for Shepard to get the ball rolling. However, I know that can be really annoying (or just awkward) for people not interested in the romance. I know that I always cringe whenever Tali starts gushing at my Male Shepard, because he sees her as a ward, or a younger sibling. So, maybe having something like that, where Joker says something that can lead to Shepard taking the plunge. Like a more-romantic version of Garrus's romance start.

Who moves first, you or LI? Why not both? You can make the first move or you can wait on the LI to make the his/her move like in DAO (Now for some reason I see Joker acting kinda bashful when he's trying to admit his feelings, like Alistair did). Of course, in DAO you had to bribe your way to that tent invite and in some cases complete a quest in a specific way for it to happen, but this did help cut down on the 'accidental' romances that some people seem to hate so much.

I always cinge too when I'm ninjamanced, because then you feel like you've lead the person on, or you're not gay or straight. Even though it's a game, you can't help but think:

"OH COME ON! Get out of my room. OUT! Pfft. This is what I get for being nice."

Kaidan's romance opening is less obvious than Liara's; with her, you just need to select: "we're just friends." Whereas with Kaidan, if he asks you if you get this personal with everyone, you've gone too far. Pass "go" and collect your 200 credits. Let's hope you save before entering any conversation with him. XD

It's not so much "accidental" romances as it is "brick wall" romances. I'm fine with a slip of the tongue; saying something along the lines of "That's what I lo- admire about you." But please at least give us a "way out!" I really don't like how I'm talking with Tali and then she spontaneously starts hitting on you and there is not way for you to change the subject! It's either activate it or break her heart by telling her you're not interested (and don't try leaving or she goes back to the exact same topic the next time you talk with her)!

Tali: I haven't trusted anyone enough for that, though. Except... well, no quarians. Um. You know what I mean.

That's true. In Dragon Age: Origins, you had the option to break up with your LI any time. Not in Mass Effect, though. Once you trigger the romance, you are in it for better or for worse. In "brick wall" romances, it's usually for worse, because we either a) leave them on Virmire, or suffer through it for the sake of a twist in the story. Sure, you can send them away before the suicide missions, but it's the ONLY break-up option. It's bad taste...and it just makes you feel bad.

Well...you can break up with Thane. But THAT is just sad. He's not my favorite character in the world, but geez, that's horrible!

Has anyone started a thread on that matter? Someone should - BioWare needs to address this.

But let's hope the consumation of Joker's and Shep's relationship does not take place right before the final battle. Twice before was enough, no need for a third time. XD

I would like to see it not only in Jokers romance but I hope that they change this romance pattern for all relationships.

Agreed phantom. The coitus should just happen, and could happen at any time. Doesnt always have to be 'lets throw caution to the wind, just once' type moment. In fact, why does it only happen once? Thats just arse.

Yeah one think I liked about Dragon Age 2 was how the handled parts of the romance, like it didn't have the LI going to Hawkes room right before the final battle it was like half way through the second act, which I tink would be a goof thing to impliment in Mass Effect 3.
