I didn't know who Seth Green was until I learned who's voicing Joker. I've never watched Buffy or Family Guy or anything. (I know, I'm missing a lot).
As was said before, I'd go for Joker even if he was voiced by someone else. Personally, I don't get the "fan-girling" over the VAs (as was executed in the Anders' thread). I like the characters because of their personalities that are usually diffrent from the personality of a VA. However, I understand that the voice is a huge part of personal charm, so I'd find it hard to admire Joker if he was voiced by, say, Gilbert Gottfried. XD

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that voice-acting is important for it can completely ruin the character and I appreciate the great job the VAs are doing in BioWare's games. Plus, I know it's always nice to hear someone you've liked before the game (for me, it's Kate Mulgrew. You go, girl!) and that the particular VA is able to obtain new fans who are likely to support him in his/her other work.

I didn't want to rant about voice-acting, I was just disclaiming some strange freudian notion that every gamer subconsciously wants to romance the VA instead of the character.

And - Joker in German? It was interesting and strangely amusing, especially when he said Scheiße! Are there any other language versions? The thought of Joker speaking French is quite... intriguing

I only got to know something more about Seth Green when I started to stalk the ME2 Joker thread. I did not know robot chicken before that and did not watch buffy - but later I recognized Seth in the Austin Power movies when I read that he played Dr. Evils son.

So no - I don't like Joker because of Seth Green although he does a very good job as voice actor. Joker is a great character even in ME1 where he had sadly only a few lines.

Thanks for posting the link with ME2 in german   =)   I much prefer it in english but it's interesting to hear how it sounds in different versions. Hmm... EDI was good but I must say that I prefers Seth Greens voice for Joker      

edit: Meh... Hubby and I was finally going to order some t-shirts and a Joker cap for me and pretty much all the shirts we wanted were out of stock... *grumbles*. I wanted the N7 tank top for ladies and a Joker cap. Hope they still have the hat in stock when they get the shirts back...

aw man, I ordered my SR2 hat 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived, that makes me a Sad Panda.

Yess.... it could mean that they are just adding dialouge. But I will be very happy to read things into it as I like them to be =) yesterday or the day before he was writing romances so I choose to take it as a good sign.... ohh how I have stopped taking this with a healty dose of pessimism =)

I love it when pepole actually get the characters right... :innocent:.  Feels like something from the game, minus the random "I Should Go"s, though they amuse me greatly.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much... I watched the romance scene for Thane & FemShep in french, and FemShep sounded like a guy.  Thane was super botchy himself.  I'd guess they didn't get Joker right either .  Personally, if I were French, I'd just stick with English & french subtitles.

@ICameForTheMuffins: I found a couple of videos on YouTube in French and I think that Joker was quite cute (well, he can never be un-cute, right?). But Jacob was terrible, he sounded like a rapist or something  Mordin was surprisingly well-done, except the singing part (mon Dieu, that was lame).

Joker can pull off not only the French thing - he can pull off the German thing, too! He brings the awesomeness to the whole another level!
I also checked out Jack and her voice is, in my opinion, suitable, she deliveres her lines in a similar way as they are in English.

So far I've listened to Joker in German and French, pretty fun to see another side of the game in this way. Does anyone have a link to a youtube clip of Joker in Russian, I have tried to find it but so far it hasn't really worked for me.... apparently my youtube-powers are nil... But I've seen plenty of Joker stuff so all is ok =)
