I'm right there with you guys bouncing of the walls with excitement for Joker as a LI in ME3. I think it could happens so here's to optimism and just being happy =)

And for Jokers post-Horizon-chat.... covering up is the way I would see it also =) come on. No way he would just blurt it out at that moment, but it would have been awfully sweet.

That guide on how to just be friends with Kaidan got posted a little bit too late for me =) find it difficult not to fall for him with all my FemSheps.. gah.... still don't know how I should do it. Turn him down in a rude way, *gasp* Virmire him since I don't have a single PT in which Ashley is alive or just keep him with my FemShep as ME-LI and hope it won't go all to hell in ME3.... which it probably would. Here's hoping there will be some way to end it with Kaidan in a nice way before going after Joker. Better keep a save before Virmire just in case....

@ ZombieGeisha   jupp, right there with you... so difficult to leave Kaidan behind. Haven't managed it yet...

I'll keep my possitive thinking for now, I hope I won't be crushed after starting ME3 and finding out that *dramatic gasp* Joker is not a LI. The future of the universe is bright only if my Shep get her Joker XD

@SilentK, I know how you feel. I'm currently re-playing ME with my hotter-than-hell single Shep for Jeff and it was almost impossible to resist Kaidan. I had to turn him down rather rudely, which is better than to Virmire him, imho. But to be honest, I'd gladly drop any LI in ME3, if Joker was available for pursuing (Well, at least with some of my Sheps).

@phantomdragoness, great dialogue! I like the innocence of EDI and her concerns about Jeff's health. I've always imagined that she looks after him as a big sister, giving him embarrassing advice and stuff.

Ughh, that will be painful, I'm such a sap but I would rather have a single FemShep for Joker come ME3 so I'll there is nothing for it ... better than Virmire as you said   =)   even if I have friends who prefer that method. Actually, it is quite interesting what he says to different answers of Shepard:

Well it may be just me, but I always understand the paragon response of Joker as "there is a reason I don't date crew - and that is because of you".... (either because he does not want Shep getting angry that he dates someone else or - and I prefer that one - that he would not date crew because he is interested in Shepard).

Joker really sounds relieved that Shep takes the break up with Kaidan so easy...

Or maybe just as already said because breakup is not nice and he wants to avoid that, escpecially if you still have to work together it is really difficult and unpleaseant.

I really like the neutral response - the "I am here for you" line, that is so sweet. And I can fully understand Joker that he don't want to speak with Shepard about her lost love (especially if he has feeling for Shep himself).

Thanks for posting the different convos I haven't actually heard them before as I don't like kaiden (never LIed him and always killed him off) infact all. My femsheps where single in me1

Wow, really? I managed to end the romance as soon as it began but after that Kaidan was not really talking to my Shep at all. That is the major disadvantage of ME1 in my opinion - even if you only try to be polite and to try to learn something more about Kaidan the game always thinks you try to romance him. There is sometimes not even a "no I don't want to romance you option", only variants of "Yes I want you" dialogue options. Or you have to be rude and mean to him. Which is unfortunate because it does not fit to my Shepards and I really like Kaidan.

Playing ME1 without romancing Kaidan is always really hard for me, and even if my Shep is meant for someone else I am quite often thinking "oh she would really fit to Kaidan too...."

Ah damn it Kaidan - why do you have to be so cute! But everything is worth for Joker

New fan here. Well not new specifically speaking. I started playing ME a few months before ME2 was released. But I've never been on the forums before so, hey all.
True, I never even thought about a Jokermance before reading through all 59 pages of this thread... 
But I got addicted and I'm completely converted and all for it now!

I'll always be a Shenko girl, and there is no way i'll be able to cheat on Kai, so I'm in the middle of creating a new FemShep for Joker. Really can't wait for this! Jokermance will be so exciting :pinched:

I know this was covered a while back, but here are my thoughts on Joker's sexuality.
I believe that Joker is (by default) straight. BUT that would be unfair to the ManSheps.. Everybody needs some Jokerlove! If it were up to me, I would love Joker to have a crush on femshep as normal - just seems that he would. But only persuable if FemShep hints interest as well. Then Male Shepard would need to initiate a romantic relationship with Joker obviously and entirely. As to avoid ninjamances... 

Maybe that way everyone could get some Joker love and Male Sheps who just want Joker as a bro wouldn't get that awkward rejection sequence you do in ME1 with Liara.

I don't know if it would work, but hey just my thoughts

Not romancing Kaidan is hard. That half smile after Eden Prime is so sweet yet hot. Like killing him on Virmire I've done it once and it's not something I'm ever likely to do again. Doing both in one playthrough was not fun, Jokermance better happen after going through that ;-)

Today I've discovered the secret to talking to Jacob is hit the mute button and go for the neutral/renegade responses. It's more the tone femShep uses than the dialogue itself. Is it just me who thinks Miranda and Jacob are still a thing?

Yes I always thought of joker as straight but would be nice for the mansheps to get themselves some love too! Characters I would love to see for ss are thane and tali but I guess no matter who is bi/gay there will always be some dissapointed people :-(

Agreed. Although it is nice for everybody to get the opportunity they want, I really don't want the same thing happening in ME3 as in DA2. I just found everybody being bi quite awkward.   I much prefer it when characters have specific sexual orientation. Some characters are straight, some are bi, some are gay. And if it fits with their character it makes them seem so much more realistic.

That being said, I dont have any problems at all with a bi Joker, just as long as it isn't forced on Male Sheps who just want him as a friend. I have faith in Bioware to do justice to a Jokermance!  And I don't even need any faith for Seth... That guy is just awesome itself.

Yes I agree 100%! Esp about the da2 romances - just felt unnatural that everyone you met was bi. But mances seem to happen alot in bioware games though (I am looking mostly at you Zevran and Ashley)

But yes I have faith in bioware to do a jokermance and well - its just wrong to make a character as cool as joker voiced by seth green to double the coolness and then not let us romance him.

Hope that there will be some sort of symbol,  <3( or something that they think would suit the ME-universe) to indicate the "you are about to flirt just so you know it"-intention. That would make me very happy and it would have made my current PT in ME so much easier. That's on my wishlist for ME3. Let me know when I'm just being friendly and talking to someone, so that I don't screw up my jokermance   =)

Yes I can see that it had its good points - everyone gets the same LI's ss or no! But for me it kinda let its self down in places - ie when Anders tried to jump my M/hawke who had never flirted with him (or any male) and a few others that I wont go in to here as this is about our fav pilot

The  icon would be a great idea - I thought the dialoge wheel in DA2 worked really well - ok i didnt know exactly what was going to be said but with the icon I knew it would be in keeping with my character and having the flirt icon available really helped.

Oh I cant even imagine the pain of completing a ME3 playthrough - having chosed the wrong dialogue choices and having missed the jokermance

I'm not sure how I feel about the heart icon thing. It annoyed me a little in DA2 but I think the only reason for that was because any flirtatious comments ended up sounding far too flirtatious for my liking XD
For Jokermance as long as it is implimented well it'll be fine. Great for avoiding an awkward confession if you want him as a friend.

True but ME2 had the same thing with some LI's - now dont get me wrong I really enjoy the Garrus-mance but Shep is not subtle or ladylike at all, kinda just felt forced rather that a natural evolution from friends to lovers. For a jokermance I would love to see the feeling that that have had for the past two games finally coming to the surface a dev said on twitter that you are aiming for the heart now lower (was it Casey Hudson- cant remember - will have to go and look) so I am hoping that the whole too flirtatious/ darn right obvious flirt lines will be at a minimum :-)
